Zelensky saying diplomacy will go no where is such a joke, diplomacy is the only way war ends unless one side has a complete military victory and we all know Ukraine will never win
He is correct, but he just doesn't understand how diplomacy works. So instead there have been a succession of increasingly unrealistic peace and victory plans that Russia would never agree to. There is also the latest idea of offering Trump mineral concessions, but what Zelensky fails to realise is that anything Ukraine still owns now is security for the debt that is being piled onto Ukraine. So when Ukraine defaults on those loans, the west will take those assets anyway.
I don't think current German leaders are sane enough to buy gas from Russia directly. More like "Pls sell more gas to India because German economy is collapsing". Paying 10% more for Russian gas is a very good deal for Germany ^^
There is no chance for a Ukrainian insurgency unless in a final very unlikely outcome Russian army troops are occupying the entire country including Kiev. There is zero chance of an insurgency in the Donbas. For an insurgency to gain a foothold, it must enjoy substantial popular support. It’s not only the people’s exhaustion with war that will prevent insurgency. In the Donbas, with its large ethnic Russian population, the remaining population after the war may be more pro-Russian than pro-Ukrainian. Much of the pro-Ukrainian population will have fled. Many of those who stay will have done so because they are okay living under Russian rule. This definitely seems to be the case in Crimea and cities like Mauripol that the Russians have secured. These places have already had an insurgency - a separatist pro-Russian insurgency in 2014. There is no reason to believe that people in these areas would fight to go back to living under a discriminatory ultranationalist Ukrainian government.
The north-east is critical, now that the Russians have cut off both Khrulyakivka and Kupyansk there's just a single pontoon bridge at Wuslowyj left that connects the western side of the Oskil to the thousands of Ukies now all but trapped on the eastern bank.

Hopefully OS grew some ballz and had a genuine, on the level, chat with Mr P. I'm sure if OS actually acted like Germany's top politician and was honest about his leadership troubles as a result of the pressure nefarious foreign players have exerted upon the German state, the German population would start to listen. If he then publicly apologised to the German population for allowing the demands of foreign interests to trump Germany's needs, to the populations detriment, the people may begin paying some real attention. If OS then had the courage to speak with Mr P, a conversation in which he "owned" the terrible mistakes his young Government was duped into, and openly discussed the Nord Stream 2 incident, bringing to global attention, the fact that destroying the Nord Stream 2 pipeline was an attack on both Germany and Russia, the German population might actually vote for him again!
Russia is cutting off gas to Austria by the end of the year as the contract ends. That was a major backdoor for Russian energy into Europe. Winter is coming !
Yeah it's already off. And not because contract end but because arbitration in Sweden awarded them $230M. The year end is end for gas transiting ukiestan.
Not a problem. Gas storages are nearly full all over Europe, more than enough for the entire winter. Austria already has other sources of gas, admittedly a bit more expensive. Russian gas will still get to the EU via Turkey on the southern line. The EU has been preparing for this because Ukraine has been threatening to stop the Russian gas delivery through Ukraine for years. In 2005 Ukraine refused to pay for their imported Russian gas and simply diverted gas from the pipeline supplying the EU to their domestic use. Russia stopped this delivery at the beginning of 2006, After this was sorted out the thing repeated in 2008/2009 causing problems in several EU countries. Ever since that time the EU has been building storage facilities and several countries like Hungary have enough stored gas for 6 months of use.
No, Russia is cutting gas because Ukraine is not letting it flow through its territory anymore. It is an arrangement, not a breach of contract, You are just parroting fake news.
And during the end stages of a war the losing side usually suffers its greatest losses. Zelensky and his oligarch mates don't care, they aren't even Slavs. They, and Blackrock, Goldman Sachs etc are all about the money. The mask has publicly fallen off now that the US, Germany, Britain and France have admitted that this NATO aggression was always about getting their hands on eastern Ukraine's agricultural and mineral resources whilst denying Russia access to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. They don't care about Ukrainian citizens...."to the last Ukrainian ".

Suriyak has now updated showing a Russian ZoC in the center of the left bank (Eastern) district of Kupiansk. If they can hold it the whole left bank as far south as the Kruhlyakivka salient will probably fall in relatively short order since the only major supply road passes through Kupiansk... about 100Km2 or so (although looking at the maps the temporary bridge near Usynvo nearer the center of the pocket could provide an alternative supply route - seems to see haevy use)
Russians are literally 200m from cutting an overpass over the railways leading to that bridge. After the overpass is cut, everything east of the railways will be permanently cut off. There must be a ton of Ukrainian troops there.
Always nicely dressed, but today's color combination suits you particularly well. (Of course, I watch your vids for your great insight into the Ukraine conflict and not your outfits. 😉 As I commented previously, you're the bravest among us and a model for all.)
how should ukraine become eu n nato member after it had multiple coups, super high corruption, nearly no industry left and half of the population fleeing? Even without the war this would make no sense at all. It will be a year long process no matter what.
To achieve peace, Western countries should support Ukraine’s transition to a neutral state. While this path may seem contentious, it presents the most viable solution to end the war and foster long-term regional stability. If there’s no neutrality, it’s hard to imagine any kind of good-neighborly relations between Russia and Ukraine.
The election of Trump, who has voiced skepticism about continued involvement in Ukraine, highlights a broader discontent within Western democracies. To avoid political turbulence, leaders should prioritize domestic challenges rather than extending significant resources to external conflicts. Politically, the cessation of active hostilities in Ukraine would relieve the West of the extensive financial and logistical support it has provided since the SMO began. This shift would allow Western nations to allocate their resources to domestic and global challenges. Addressing internal economic strains and public discontent could help avert potential political crises within Western democracies. The economic benefits of ending the conflict would also be significant. Europe, in particular, has faced major challenges due to the conflict, including energy shortages and soaring prices. Supporting Ukraine’s neutral status may be difficult to reconcile with the initial goals of defending its full sovereignty, but it’s a pragmatic solution that aligns with current realities. A neutral Ukraine would contribute to regional stability, reduce military and economic strains on the West, and allow all parties to pivot toward peace. This is a strategic move that brings tangible benefits to all sides, including the West.
I see no reason for the west to have any benefits, they created this fiasco so why don't they just leave? The west has no leverage, so why talk as if they do?
The moment a war starts people forget what it is even being fought over. The issue is whether the people of Donbas have the same right we articulated in the Declaration of Independence to chose a new form of government when the current one fails to protect one's liberty. In their case the people of Western Ukraine overthrew the democratically elected President that the people of Donbas put into office.
We can't just dismiss the possibility of unrest after the war ends. While it is true that, due to losses and exhaustion, logically it makes sense there would be few people left willing to fight (be it some political revolution or whatever), history shows this is definitely possible. The October Revolution really started after the Russians were dissatisfied with the huge losses in the war. You had communist uprisings in Germany after WW1 as well. Former soldiers causing trouble in newly formed states after the breakup of Austria-Hungary. While I myself wouldn't attempt to predict the likelihood of something similar happening in Ukraine after the war, I do think the claim that there wouldn't be enough soldiers or armed men left to form some sort of militias after the war, while it has some logic behind it, isn't enough to completely dismiss the possibility of unrest.

@aov6563 if that's true and I have no reason to bot believe it - it's close to game over time for Ukraine.

German paying for gas in Rubbles?
I don't think current German leaders are sane enough to buy gas from Russia directly.
More like "Pls sell more gas to India because German economy is collapsing".
Paying 10% more for Russian gas is a very good deal for Germany ^^
Sholz consulted with France, the UK and Italy before making the call.
My man Willy! Love you buddy!
56km2 in 24 hours is insane. I've lived my whole life in a 80km2 town, which to me seemed huge until now.

😂😂😂😂 good one ,not gonna lie
G''day Legends.... praying for you man.
Jay in Kyiv is an idiot

Ok, Finland, Germany, US, whatever, west did it.

The north-east is critical, now that the Russians have cut off both Khrulyakivka and Kupyansk there's just a single pontoon bridge at Wuslowyj left that connects the western side of the Oskil to the thousands of Ukies now all but trapped on the eastern bank.

i'm pro russia but damn the ukrainian soldiers in siversk are tough as hell.
Oh the Rus soldiers fighting for Z interests are as tough as Rus fighting for the Rus people under Putin.
I know what Sholz of Germany told Putin on that phone call: "Nein, nein, nein, nein!"
No, they are cutting gas today Saturday Nov 16th 2024.
@@thehun1234 American gas 3x more expensive than Russian Bankrupting German car manufacturers
No, Russia is cutting gas because Ukraine is not letting it flow through its territory anymore. It is an arrangement, not a breach of contract, You are just parroting fake news.
Mate this war is over
But peace has not yet come
And during the end stages of a war the losing side usually suffers its greatest losses.
It's the sunken cost fallacy. Ukraine has lost so many people and so much infrastructure that they can't accept it was all for nothing
its over when the guns fall silent. We know the outcome we don't know when that outcome will happen.

Comedian-in-chief keeps fiddling while the Eastern front buckles.
Who would have thought… Ukraine Failed to Hold The Line, what a surprise (sarc)

how should ukraine become eu n nato member after it had multiple coups, super high corruption, nearly no industry left and half of the population fleeing? Even without the war this would make no sense at all. It will be a year long process no matter what.
They didn't open another front.. its surrounded by a river 'protected aginst counter attack' its just a pr stunt
Sadly you are speaking common sense to idiots..
I see no reason for the west to have any benefits, they created this fiasco so why don't they just leave? The west has no leverage, so why talk as if they do?
Ukraine did give up it's nuke opportunity to be neutral and look what happened.
@@FairladyS130What the hell are you talking about? The nuclear weapons belonged to the USSR, not to Ukraine! It was the price paid to be left free.
@@FairladyS130 What happened is they stopped being neutral.
Love your 70s suits Mate! Good video today, balanced with little pro Zelenskyy bootlicking.
I agree but the Germans did have the werewolf insurgence
I hope you have a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic weekend.
Chernigov actions perhaps are collecting trading goods for coming negotiations?
