That’s the logical thing to do but unfortunately we’ve known about tampons containing a plethora of cancer-causing chemicals and metals for a long time. Only now getting mainstream attention. Idk why now and not years ago when so many people were screaming it from the rooftops. I hate to say it but if the past and present is any indication, this will merely disappear in the news cycle and most people will have never heard about it. And the poisoning of women goes on 😵‍💫

  • @UncommonEyes

For more perspective: for how many decades do women need menstrual products? For me it was 4 decades that’s a long time to potentially be exposed to toxic metals. Why would there be any toxic metals in tampons? How about pads? Have they been tested? I suppose there is no way to know if there has always been toxic metals in tampons.

Ingredients: Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose, Monoacetin, Artificial Flavor, contains 2% or less of the following: Potassium Stearate, Saccharin (a non-nutritive sweetener), Pr Glycol Monostearate, Starch. and Artificial Color.
See? It's fine. So is the rest of your underwear and just like the rest of your clothes that are safe to wear, don't eat them. The question is, how much metal was found. The machines they are made with are metal and so too are the packaging machines. If were only talking about a few ppm of the metals that could just be coming from being in contact with metals and probably doesn't actually present any risk. I mean, the water most of us are drinking every day has these metals in it too, it's just that it's such a small amount it doesn't matter. But then again, we all know that the upper one percent want to cull us down to around five hundred million total on the planet, so it wouldn't surprise me if it were a method of slowing birth rates. If they are, it's working ! That along with whatever is causing the testosterone levels in young men to have fallen dramatically in the last couple of decades. Of course no one seems to want to talk about that much either !

It's not hard to research/Google the FDA's negligence and unethical practices throughout It's time as an agency and that goes for most government agencies "regulating" and supposedly looking out for us Americans, it's a joke. The only thing they protect are the corporations and with the Supreme Court striking down the Chevron doctrine these agencies will now have to focus more on past rulings keeping them busy from holding corporations accountable (not like they were doing a good job on that already), but it is basically protecting these companies from being held accountable for their negligence and much harder to sue them. I think it's interesting this study comes out after this decision was handed down. That's my two cents, lol.

((?))Wasn't Toxic Shock Syndrome [TSS], due to leaving a tampon in, for like 12 hours or more(?) If so, all the women who've died of TSS, may have had metal allergy(s), which in effect, may have contributed to the deadly, bacterial infection(???)😢

I stopped using tampons that last 10 years of my period before menopause hit- id rather bleed for 10 days a month than deal with menopause lol, but yes i quit using them because i felt that its just not healthy to put something synthetic in your body like that. And apparently i wasnt far from the truth.
Use pads or cups of something. Yes theyre not as neat as tampons but certainly helpful.

This makes sense since usa wants to hurry production and rarely ever think of long-term health effects. Js its safer to pick by hand than have a machine do it but ken and karen always think college is more important

This isn’t new news! I knew about this years ago. So idk why they’re saying this study hasn’t been replicated lol. Maybe not this exacctttttt study but we knew the crazy number of different cancer-causing chemicals in tampons for a long time. It’s never been in the mainstream news though that I know of so I’m glad this is finally getting some attention. Makes me wonder why it’s only being exposed now…

I always knew tampons had to be bad for you….. I am sorry but keeping something inside there for hours that needs to come out, as in fluids, seems gross enough…the metals is a whole other story.

To early to draw concern i mean we have seen a uprising in cervical cancer so makes me wonder. I mean yes other things can be factors to cause cancer but why put ourselves at higher risk of a health issue. I personally would like to know seeing as i used them for years and ended up with cancer i mean 20 years is a long time to use them and then find out they could be unhealthy. I mean i stopped using them and have not had any relapse so but i also only have a period 3 times a year if im unlucky.
