how to make jazzy house music like Berlioz

- 🎷 Berlioz has become one of my favourite artists lately, so I decided to have a go at making some music inspired by his track 'deep in it'.
🎵 I don't normally make this style of music, so it was a bit of a learning experience which is what I want to share with you guys. Don't see this as a tutorial, more a video of me exploring how to bring certain musical elements together to create a cool jazzy, house vibe.
🎹 listen to the track 'Cruising': distrokid.com/hyperfollow/har...

I came to this video thinking you were going to make a track based on Symphony Fantastique or something lmao
Hahaha idea for the next video
That was the reason I clicked on the video
Same 😅
Love this video mate. Even though jazz-house may not be your normal flavour, you created a seriously good track!
Please make more like this!
Yo thanks I appreciate that! Think I might do a part 2 of this, was a lot of fun to make
Yes please
Amazin work! Congratulations for the track!
Jazzy house, also known as 'Tony Blair House', is classic. This is a good demonstration and a nice, chill vid.
this is incredible man! thanks for the guide!
Your videos are gold!!!! 😭
The thing with jazz music is that I can’t describe my feelings with words nor emotions it stays in me and warm me up with everything I feel it’s weird but I love it ❤
I completely agree
Very insightful video man thanks👌🏾🥇

Loved watching you make this, very clever production, was dropping some boom bap vocal chops in my head while you played the track 😂
Haha thank you bro
dope
super dope video man
Appreciate it thank you!
Bro this is fire🔥🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate that! 🔥
beautiful bro 🔥
Thanks 🔥
That's proper !! I need to spend lots of more hours trying to better my chord progressions, as I am very easy when it comes to playing all white like A minor scale, but once you start mixing white and black keys, my mind can't work that out , too complex for me just yet, but the sound is just pure love !
Thanks! A good way to get started it just to learn chord progressions from songs you like, and then experiment with them a bit
nicely done and like others have said make more tracks like this.
Thanks 🙏 got more on the way this summer
Fire
🙏 thank you
ive been listening to a lot of jazz house music and felt this urge to create something, just watched the last part of the video cause i dont have a lot of time right now but i will def try to make one myself later today,
Nice, hope it goes well! And I hope my video can help a bit too 😄
You should do a piano tutorial on the background music in the intro bro, Love your stuff!
Thanks, I want to release that track too
Not my usual cup of tea but from a technical perspective, this was a fantastic job sir. Super well produced,.nailed the sound, with some original flavours. Very worthy of release
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it. This sound was quite new for me too, but was a fun process
Love this style and the spin that you put on it. Thinking of making my own music, what software did you use?
thank you! I used Ableton for this, and I use a lot of products from Arturia for piano/synth sounds
This was pretty jazzy man! Exploring this territory myself with some hip hop elements. You think we can get the chords played here?
Berlioz took inspiration from jazz house masters such as Ludovic Navarrr (St germain) and Kevin Yost
Hey! What program are you using? really nice
Hey Harry, great video!! Any advise on someone who is looking to learn how to play the piano from beginner? Would you advise getting a 1 on 1 tutorial sessions or try learning with online tool? Note this is the first instrument that I will be learning. Keep up the great videos!

Damn bro what’s the song in the intro?!🔥
Alright mate! I have the Berlioz track you’ve referenced and love the vibe you’ve got going, do you have any of this available? I’d like a some WAVS to play out of yours or vinyl 👊
It's currently out on all platforms - 'Cruising' 🏞️
Loved the video, please oil up your chair haha once you hear it you can't unhear it 🤌🏼🤌🏼🙏🏼
Haha sorry 😅 I did try to improve it recently, hopefully it's a bit better now!
@@harry-nicholson it's a minor thing/ keep up the great work
Crushed it. Liked it quite a bit, but I would have liked it even more if the sax wasn't a constant element. As it is in live jazz setting, it's typically virtuosos taking turns....some sax for a few bars, then solo keys for a few bars while the sax sits out, maybe a drum/bass highlight, and then all together near the end. Your piano playing was ace, and I wanted to hear it without the sax competing. Overall, it was excellent.
Appreciate the feedback!! Thanks for watching 🙏
hey mate, ive got arturia but i dont see stage 73, where can i get it?
thank you
You can buy it as a separate instrument, or it comes with Analog Lab (also from Arturia)
does anyone know what software is being used
Ableton live
@@harry-nicholson appreciate it ❤️
