Perhaps you don't agree with the way she uses her hijab but different Muslim culture wears it differently..Also maybe we can all note that the fact that a Muslim woman is in high fashion industry is a big step as she can educate others on why hijab is worn and the fact that its not a form of oppression, as how it's often misinterpreted

I understand we should look to others as a source of inspiration but people like halima and Jackie having a presence in our modern world makes us feel seen and heard. When I tried wearing hijab or turbans even if I'm not a muslim, I liked it! I looked clean, no hair on my face & idk why but it has that elegance vibe. It was fun trying it for once ☺️

Egyptian Muslim here! I am conservative but I don’t wear a hijab (YET!) and I LOVE this. It is so empowering to see another Muslim, you just never see it especially when you live in a country with very few Muslims you can feel so alone and to add it that Hamila is so sweet. Love Jackie and that she appreciates that wearing a hijab is a big commitment especially since when you do start wearing it that is normally it, you have it for life, and I’ll say as somebody who covers up it can feel discouraging when every model every icon and the people of around you show off their body which is fine of course good for you, go girl but just talking from my personal experience. 🥰
Lol just FYI here are a lot of majority muslim non Arab countries. Especially in East and West Africa.Senegal, Gambia,Guinea Conarky, Mali ,Niger ,Somalia and the list goes on and on.Even Kenya ,Tanzania and Nigeria have large muslim populations.

Same! I’m from Algeria and also a Muslim and it can be so discouraging when literally no one my age wears hijab or even dresses modestly (I’m a teenager btw and living in America ). I wish I had more role models that wear hijab. No one in my family wears it, even though they are all Muslims. I hope one day I’ll be brave enough to commit to wearing a hijab all the time, and maybe it’ll influence my mom to wear it, too. For now though, I’m content with just wearing it to the masjid. 😊

I'm irish, I have 3b curly hair and I wear my head wrap proud, I cant wear my hair down when there is a lot of humility out cause it messes up my curls and with this style I'm able to protect them and prolong my my curly hair before my next wash day
