- Aeonium stem rot repair: The good news is the stem seems completely fine just above where I cut it. And there are some roots still attached. I'm going to pot it up and baby the heck out of it!

i like that it looks kinda bonsai-ish, like a little grove of trees
It's so cool! I hope it doesn't get too sad
I'm having issues with my Desert Rose. Over the winter it began rotting. I waited as long as I could and then cut the rotted root. It was severe. Some branches also had to be cut. I covered the open wounds with cinnamon and waited for them to dry. After a week the cut areas were turning soft again. So I trimmed again! Always going far enough to reach the healthy parts. I think we have had so much rain the air is too moist to dry out. Anyway I put wood glue to prevent water from getting in dried cuts. Hoping for the best. Any tips, tricks or advice for over wintering?
For now I would just wait on new roots to form before really watering again - and in winter, you want to help them go dormant so they need less water. Reduce water and stop feeding over the 2-3 months before the coldest months then only water a little monthly just to keep the roots from drying out. If you can't keep them warmer than 48-50F during cold periods, don't water at all.
