  • This was a John Deere 135G with a drained battery. Now, you might be wondering how we’re going to jump a 24v battery with 12v without blowing it up. Watch and learn as the heavy-duty mechanic shows us how to jump-turn an excavator using the service truck.
This one is for @Justypower89 who had a question about how to jump start 24v excavator when you’ve only got 12v. Honestly, if the battery is drained we recommend changing it because it’ll just die on you again. But for educational purposes, we’re showing you how to make a mini excavator start when the battery is dead. Enjoy!

Omg!!! Thank you so much 😊 that help me to be a better mechanic. (This Chanel gave me the courage to work as a farm machinery mechanic again after I left the job for 10 years).

  • @toddk1377

He's exactly right, in my deuce (24v), if my batteries die, I can jump it with my pick up that's 12v, as he said, one battery at a time. If anything, I find having quality jumper cables and clean battery terminals make for more efficient jump.

That's an awfully big 35G l think somebody missed a number in the description lol. My old man had a battery explode on him the top blew off and went flying across the yard I don't remember what group size it was maybe a 65. Batteries can turn into bombs waiting to go off you have to be careful dealing with lead acid batteries.

Here in AZ we say new batteries and brakes every 2 years. The heat just wears em out. So out have habit, I put a battery load tester on the 50 hour checks. Don't even boil the bat on bench, if the Volts and cranking amps are low. Seen and heard batteries blow up on the dumby charger. Has Cam used that Mini Ductor yet? I thought about buying one it's just pricey.

Good craic as usual, but actually guys can learn from this. Craic is the jokes and banter, for all you Saxton type.😂
