Hard to tell exactly what happened to Yuri. His grave says he was taken before his time, and then I guess Ymir revived him by turning him into a finger creeper. By the item description of Ymir's robe it seems that even before his transformation at the end of the questline that he had fingers writhing underneath his cloak.
@@ongabonga4378 there is also one of those special Larval Tears near Manus Metyr, perhaps he tried the same rite as Rennala, but he did not have the rune of the Unborn so the revived Miniature Finger Creeper Yuri was flawed and shortlived as her Juvenile Scholars
This place really let me down. In the map you see this enormous areas and when you reach it, you see this strange space full of fingers, both beautiful and cursed, with some very cursed enemies... You see the obvios convergence point where you should go, but i decide to explore... Walk through the entire area just to be a gigante space full of nothing... Then i go to the middle and... It's just a strange thing that gve you an amulet... I was expecting atleast some random consumables around the area and a boss in the middle, but it's was just meh... The second one i decide to look the wiki immediatly because i just not in the mood to lose 10 minutes searching for nothing. Specially because the second one is full of the sniper leechs, stun locking you from across the map... Very miserable experience for an visually stunning area.
ah yes, put there another cave or another tunnel or another Ghostflame Dragon, can't wait to do them and then end up with an ancient smithing stone as a reward (I have 12 of them)

Taken before his time." I haven't actively tested it, but I'm pretty sure that you can only interact with that gravestone AFTER you've killed Metyr. I think it's fairly obvious that it's the other way around. I think by killing the Mother of Fingers, you in turn kill Yuri, which is what "damaged the count irreparably", how Jolan puts it. It's the grave of the little fingercreeper, and you can hear him weep every time you kill the creepers during your fight with him. It's just Occam's razor. What is more likely; that this is the grave of the little fingercreeper we've seen him cradle and call "Yuri"; OR that this is another Yuri we never see or hear, that is of no consequence to the story of this quest, adds nothing to his character and generally just makes the whole thing more confusing?

I did this first try without meaning to and laughed so hard. Basically got told "youre a little too good at this, i havent even shown you the map for that one."
Through some interaction he wasn't there some time after I rang the first bell but before ringing the second, and I was able to press the button on his chair. Got the invasion from the other knight person down there, and got to the bell, but it doesn't let you ring the bell until you've rung the first two (looking up why I couldn't ring this new bell spoiled the name of the boss to me unfortunately)
I had the same dialogue but a different timeline. I did the first one correctly, but when I went back to talk to him he was not there. But the chair was interactable, so I went downstairs and died to the red phantom NPC. When I spawned back to the grace, he was there and said these words to me.
This happened to me because it was kind of...natural? Like, you reach the manor, and the closest thing to you is the back entrance to Shadow Keep. It's the closest and easiest finger ruin to access after receiving the quest. Admittedly I didn't look at the map too closely, I just saw the ruin closest to the manor and was like 'oh that must be it'.
Pretty common to see people get this one including me. It was somehow easier to find the one past the Shaman village than getting to Cerulean Coast at all

Jolan and Anna were literally children he raised in a Gaol specifically to be loyal warriors for him... Seems like he was a glintstone sorcerer who believed in a sort of combination of the stars and greater will. Interpreting the Greater Will instead of the moon, turning him mad and trying to take up the role as the mother of fingers.
I wonder who actually did this accidentally - instead of going to the most obvious place, they somehow found their way to one hidden behind one of the most obscure secrets in Fromsoft games.
There is a bug where he leaves his throne after you sit at the bonfire. You can then access the third bell. An invader killed me there and I lost the access to it so I don't know what would have followed
pretty sure it's not a bug. Don't know if this is at certain time of the day, but some times he is just not there and you can enter the secret entrance. Avoiding spoilers, this entrance will be relevant later in his quest

Perhaps if you drew your map with a darker ink than the rainwater I assume you used, I would have found the right bell.
