“Objectively, this is not a good car. But everyone should buy one!”
Best review ever! 😂
I want one
Objectively, it isn't a car, neither legally nor technically.
This is not a Mercedes S-Class, which is obviously not kept in mind in this video and little bit unfair.
Buy a coffin, more leg room, try those cars in crash test with Semis
@@donald9825 It isn't a car. Neither is it sold as a car, nor can you immatriculate it as a car, nor do you need a car driving licence for it, nor does it need to pass any kind of crash test. Try a scooter in a crash test vs an HGV or even against this, then you are the n the right category, because that's what this essentially is.
You can tell Alyssa is behind the camera with zooms on cute dogs.😀
A German ex-colleague of mine described the original Isetta as the pot-hole-finder due to the two different width axles. Clearly Microlino have never heard it described as such 😊 Hopefully the design (electronics and software) improves and matures quickly for the future models. I would personally love one as a commuter vehicle.
I bought one in Switzerland, the Microlino Competizione, and I love it! For Swiss standard is not so expensive and I managed to get it in the Headquarter in Küsnacht (just close to my hometown in the Zurich area). I own a Tesla Model S and both are my favorite cars! Driving in Zürich with the Tesla is a nightmare (too big, no parking), but with the Microlino is just easy. You are right, lot of noises and rumors, but I am sure they will fix it. So far, I am excited to test it in winter with snow, rain and cold. Nice video as always! Cheers from Thalwil (Zürich)
Enjoy your Microlino . I wish to drive one soon once they launch it internationally
Do you pronounce the name Microlino like he does in this video?
It reminded me at first of a Fiat 126 bisc 😂❤
This thing is a death trap. Should never be allowed on highways.
@@manuel0578 It's totally flawed:
-It's a sweatbox which no person in modern times would ever buy: it has no air conditioning! Even the cheapest ICE cars which cost nearly half of that could be had with air conditioning!
-It's rattly, uncomfortable, noisy as hell. Just unacceptable compared to ICE cars which used to be available at even under 10K€!
-Not fun to drive
-Not good for the environment: with the extremely low amount of kilometres this kind of cars are driven ICE cars are lower in lifetime CO2
-Not only are they not safe in crashes, but the cheap, unsophisticated batteries are a huge fire hazard too.
-I'm absolutely certain it will have reliability problems before it's been driven very much, and then you'll have trouble finding places to fix it and you'll be surprised at how much different EV components cost. In the proper car world with PHEVs and EVs a simple high-voltage electrics module can cost as much as a full engine swap for an ICE car...maybe the lower-quality Microlino parts will cost a bit less than the proper PHEV and EV parts, but expect surprises!
That video is typical out of spec. Alyssa has a squirrel moment where she sees a cute dog and Kyle has a squirrel moment where he sees a cool old Tesla model S with original wheels
Reminds me of the movie Up where Doug immediately goes, “Squirrel!” 😂😂
My dad briefly had an Isetta when he was in his 20's...I agree, everyone should have a totally impractical fun car
As a very young child (1969) I watched a guy park his Isetta close up to a wall. Unfortunately some of the U.K cars had no reverse gears and he was stuck, shouting out of the window until someone helped by pushing it away so he could get out. That image stuck with me all these years and this bought it back! Thanks!
Yes top gear did an episode on parking it against the wall too.
The Isetta was originally an Iso from Italy BMW, VELAM and Romi built after Iso kinda petered out. Anyway, I remember they used motorcycle engines and transmissions so they had no reverse gear in the transmission, but some sort of 'bolt on reverse' that apparently a lot of people removed because it was unreliable.
Is that even legal? I feel like reverse gear is kind of needed. lol
All Isettas had reverse. To allow 16 year olds & motorcycle only licence holders drive in the UK, reverse had to be blocked off. This was done with a bolt that stopped engagement of reverse. The bolt would be removed by the owner after delivery.
Love the design and the size. We need more human scale cars. I don't mind the price either once they fix the minor issues pointed out in this video. Can't get over the size. So perfect.
imagine getting in the blind angle of a truck in that one 🥶
some people like to live dangerous
@@Hansen710 I don't choose my belongings based on how irresponsible other people are with theirs.
@@JH-uu7jl - Yes, but the irresponsible other people will hit you with theirs. I love these little cars too but I would not drive them on most North American roads.
@@Hansen710 micro cars, or even something like the Ciroen Ami, are a waste of space -always have been as you will still need a proper size car for longer journeys and carrying loads ..
This car has the same issues as Smart. Great design, compact size, and is priced like a car that is twice as large and twice as capable
And at least with gas versions, even though it is half the size and capability, it gets only very slightly better gas mileage - if at all.
Except the Smart won’t kill you in a city-speed crash. This one will. Or leave you in a wheelchair for the rest of your life. Enjoy!
Just remember, that this is a manufacturer, which has not contracts with battery producer about thousends of batteries. Its even not a car manufacturer at all, so the processes are quite inefficient. I think thats the real price given from a solid book keeper.
I love bubble cars. Yes, they have some disadvantages, but they're hugely practical in busy urban areas.
And if you come back to your front blocked in, just hop in through the sunroof.
My parents actually owned a 1958 Isetta. I, my brother and sister learned to drive with it in our front yard.
microlino with Kyle in it looks absolutely hilarious and I love it!! they need to bring it to Australia please!
Quadricycles are not permitted in Australia AFAIK.
No Air Conditioner !!
That so cool!!! Love to see these cute EV's around the communities!
I'd buy that over an Arcimoto for sure! It needs to come to the US! Great video
Ha ha that warp speed (Sport mode) is funny 😂 The car looks like fun! It's either that or cycle. a Great city car.
Interesting little car and probably a good replacement for what the Smart EV once was. Thanks for the thorough test, hope they are successful!
I love it too, but that price is ridiculous.
Idiotic price for that piece of crap. I mean, I love it, but it's a rolling coffin. And waaaay too expensive. This shouldn't cost more than 3000-4000 quid, give or take.
and they are aiming for young people, eu are putting out rules that says only 90 km to you are over 21 (i guess they want the parents to buy it 🤣)
its a kids car, it also look like something postman pat would drive
Needs to be less than $10k for sure. It’s adjacent to a prettier version of cheap Chinese made off-brand EVs
We have these small cars (light quadricycles) for young drivers in Europe. Most are actually stupidly expensive and absolute Deathtraps with woeful build quality. They’re usually speed limited. Here in Finland you can pay almost €25,000 for one new. So from that perspective a microlino for €23,000 is a pretty funky proposition. The high speed stability didn’t look too bad in comparison to a regular quadricycle.
Yeah. Citroen make one for ten grand so stuff it. 😢
Best car reviews around. Honest and insightful.
It always makes me smile when the camera pans towards a dog passing by.
I word: "No". But a big "yes" for making the video and letting the public see what is available for EV transportation.
So happy to see decent sponsors and not some cringy manscaping promo.
Love it! Want one for around town.
I hope they do come to America, I would love one.
Thanks for the overview!! Been watching the Microlino's progress over the years, so nice to finally see it on the road. If they bring it to the states with a price < $20K, without any significant speed restrictions then I think they might have something. I think for sure I would want one over an Arcimoto or an NEV golf cart thing.
I just got a survey emailed to me from microlino because I emailed them a few years ago asking them to sell in USA. The survey mentioned that the EU spec car would be limited to 25 mph as a NEV. However, the survey later showed concepts that would go up to the same EU speed of 56 mph or so. I commented that they should do the NHTSA requirements for the full speed and no limitations on surface roads.
“USB A like it’s 1994.”
He says, ignoring that the USB standard came out in 1996. 😂
I have followed this car for a while. I would absolutely 100% buy one the minute it lands in the US.
It looks like a modern Steve Urkel car. 👍 It looks so much fun.
Absolutely love this little car. what a great city car.
It's very cool and great looking. It's not a Car. It's a Light Cat. Vehicle u can drive from 16 years old on. Insurance and taxes r cheap like a Scooter. Thank u for the great Video.
These look like squishmalllows plush toys on wheels! Definitely top tier cuteness. Agree, the price is too high for mass consumption. ❤❤❤
interesting review, I liked your honesty and enthusiasm ! There's a point I like to add regarding micro cars : depending your local legislation, it can be park on a motorcycle spot, which is space and cost saving ;-)
Cannot forgive you for not taking us for a walk inside Motorworld. Was there last year, it is a fantastic place.
Happy to see the Microlino getting more attention from Americans. I think bringing these to the US as an NEV would be quite successful. So what if it has to be speed limited to 25MPH. It would be the car to have in coastal communities such as Laguna Beach and Newport Beach in California.
I would buy it cuzz it is cool and urban practical and I have a fondness for quirky vehicles having owned a few over the last 60-years like a 360 Subaru, Renault Dauphine and Caravelle, Fiat 850 Spider& X1/9, original Honda Civic, BMW 700 LS Coupe, and may more.
It seems today that people are really spoiled by the modern vehicle amenities. I grew up with post-war Austins, Sunbeam Rapiers, Triumphs, as family cars. My first car was a 1948 Cadillac convertible, then Flathead Mercs, Fords, Stovebolt Chevys cars and trucks, 48' through 53' Oldsmobiles, more Cadillacs and Cadillac convertibles, and later V8 Chevies and Fords, and VW's from 55' through 65'. Spent may years driving a 36-hp Bugs, so I'm pretty easy going with any car and its quirks. My first new car was a1964 Olds 442, convertible, over the years many new performance cars followed, everything from Spitfires to a 68' Dodge Charger R/T 440 and a Lotus Europa JPS to several Miatas's, and BMW's. None would be anywhere near perfect by today's judgemental buyers. If it runs and stops, defrost and wipes the windows and is fun to drive, I'm not going to sweat its faults. I would have no problem driving an old Bug or 50' Chevy pickup across the country cuzz I have. At least if it broke, I could fix it on the side of the road. Now I'm not against new cars cuzz they are so much better than the old polluting beasts and safer. And, I'm in the market for a new or newer EV, cuzz I'm done with ICE vehicles. In the mid-50's my dad a Biophysicist said that our future was electric cars or we would have a viable future. He was right.
Thanks for the enthusiastic post.
Highways: From Microlino website:
Can I use the Microlino on the motorway?
The Microlino is allowed to drive on highways in Switzerland and in Europe. In Italy and France, on the other hand, L7e vehicles are not allowed to drive on highways.
Exciting! I reserved one about a year ago for when they're available in the US!
I hope they keep improving / refining this.
Hi, let me tell you that BMW Isetta was sold in my country early 60s, and it was/is very popular until today. This Microlino clearly respected all those original details of body. Wonderful! It is like a dream come true, same shape, same door opening, but with all those modern technologies. I can see bicolor versions too, light green and white...very retro colors. Thank you very much for sharing this adventure.
Cristian, Santiago Chile SouthAmerica.
PD: I think name must be pronunced as _meecro leeno_ (if you are English soeaker), name probablely comes from _Topolino,_ an Italian way for calling Fiat 500 due the measures and grill and headlights. Topolino means Micky Mouse (🤔 if I am not wrong).
The softtop is a mandatory featuire as it functions as an escape hatch in case of an accident.
Love the mirrors/headlights!
Awful design, frankly. And bad interior for the money.
I loved the pan to the collie. Alyssa is adding comedy gold. 😂
Cute car that puts a smile on my face. Would get a kick out of seeing one driving around my neighborhood. Especially one in a two tone color combination. But would I buy one? Nope! At least the originals steering wheel moved out of the way when you opened the door. I like it from outside.
15:10 she is absolutely right about pronunciation: in Italy we say "mee-cro-lee-no" 😊
Very good design and portable
LOL, Alyssa with the dog zoom in🥰
Microlino lives by the Marchionne method - EVs = XPNSV. Seems they put all the r/d budget into the body/chassis/interior and used the last $2 of the budget to select the off the shelf motor and controller.
Is legal to use on German Autobahn requested Speed at least 61kph / kmh Just to mention it. It is a funny Car. Great to See it now on streets and parking.😊
somehow its more insane they allow them in citys..
i would not like to get in the blind angle of a huge truck in this one.
i would feel more safe parachuting or bungy jumping with homemade equitment, then i would driving that thing.
if it had the speed to get out of dangerous situations like a bike, i would feel a little different.
but in this one you are stuck watching the accident happen
In Germany a car has to have a speed of at least 60 km/h to drive on the Autobahn. So the Microlino has 90 km/h topspeed is ok for the Autobahn.
well you would have to walk when you get to the danish highway if you are driving 60km/h..
we dont allow tracktors on the highway, and we dont allow slowing down traffic for your own plesure
you can get a ticket for driving to slow
Isn't it 60 for Kraftfahrstraße (so not Autobahn but highway-like roads) and 80 for Autobahn? I think it was something like that and that's why Twizy was just allowed on the Autobahn with its 84km/h Vmax!
@@dieserNiko It is on both Kratffahrstrßen and Autobahnen. Quot: "„...deren durch die Bauart bestimmte Höchstgeschwindigkeit mehr als 60 km/h beträgt“. Wich mean "... if (the Vehicle) is so build that there Vmax is higher than 60Km/h." Apologize my bad english. I am better in understanding english and not so good in the way i express myself or whrite correctly or translate into english.
The vehicle must be able to go over 60 km/h. I belive otherwise you don’t get the regualar license plate.
@@dieserNiko
Wouldn't want this on the highway or freeway.
Love it!!!!!
I love neighborhood commute EVs, they make so much sense.
I'm more curious about European vehicle class L6e-BP (but also L7e-CP).
My neighborhood commute is only 30-50 km/h, thus the 45 km/h max for L6e is enough.
I think the Microlino is cool, except it's too expensive.
Beautiful crumple zone. Oops.
Oh well, will be enough in 15-min-cities. And hopefully they'll do away with dogs and cats as pets. Because of the sky.
@@manoman0 almost 15-minute-city for my neighborhood, but more like 15-25 by bike, and parts of the bike paths are inconveniently placed, making them undecidable, but easily 4-8 minutes in a neighborhood commute vehicle at 45 km/h
@@manoman0 if the Citroën Ami could get battery heater for winter; it would be a perfect alternative for me,
but I don't want a vehicle we can't use radom cold weeks during winter, just because it won't charge.
If they would just charge very slow, even just at 300W, it would be OK, but if we can't charge every time the battery is below -5°C it's too unreliable.
Also want one!
Yeah, that's all fine and dandy until you're forced to live like that. @@thorbjrnhellehaven5766
Great stuff as usual, thank you Kyle and Alyssa.
I reserved 2 a few years ago but I live in the US... Soooo do you know anything about:
1) Microlino coming to US?
2) A version with quieter motor/powertrain?
Thanks!
I would love to answer to this question is it coming to the US? This would be perfect for every inner person or suburb commute downtown
haha that dog zoom that was fun Alyssa
Hell yeah! This is fantastic. Would love to have one!
As much as I love quirks of this car I don't see this company surviving at this price, 23k eur is insane
If you're ever back in the SD area before I sell my ZENN car, you might need to give it a go. Originally it only had ~6kW, but with motor and battery upgrades now it's pushing 60+kW!
Realistically it's pretty ridiculous, as it just burns rubber when giving more than ~1/2 throttle at low speeds. Pretty much everything else about the car is super sketchy as well, haha.
I've been waiting for this since 2017 but as we are living in America, I hope this can be import to US on someday.
10:35 How cute is that lil' car on the key fob! :)
Great video. Do you prefer your Twizzy?
14:56 Thats a sales location for BMW cars. The BMW Motorrad production is located in Berlin-Spandau.
Two things: the Isetta from BMW is just a licensed Iso Isetta. And the BMW Motorcycles are german build in Berlin.
Yes, I think it's to expensive as well. But don't forget in the german pricing are 19% sales taxes included.
my vw also comes from germany, and it sucks..
germans are deffently not the best at EV´s
in dk we pay 150% car tax..
and insuriance is pretty much the double of germany, and so is the tax on owning it
a used car from germany is not posible to import to dk without taxing it one more time.
eu is no help when it comes to cars..
for dutch and german peopole danish cars are actually cheap, when you remove our tax..(it is posible on some used cars to get the tax back if they are exported)
our car dealers in dk are the worlds best traders thanks to our tax system
The good news is this is a starting point - it can get better (and cheaper) from here! I think it's a cute city car, and the market needs more like this.
But it can't get anywhere near as good as ICE cars which are half the price. It can't even get to as low lifetime CO2 emissions as ICE cars.
@@pistonburner6448 Yeah, they can - look at the research which shows ICE's still have a larger lifetime footprint.
@@ChristianBehnke I've read all the research, you haven't. I literally have read every single one (any vaguely legitimate ones, and even many illegitimate ones), and I know how to analyse them too.
I know how to apply their data to this vehicle class. NO STUDIES say what you claim, as even the most fraudulent pro-EV corrupt studies back up what I said and unequivocally show that with the mileages vehicles like this drive ICEs will be lower in CO2.
And furthermore which studies do you suggest even had ICE cars in it using non-fossil fuels? Which ones? Name them! Because without at least including if not directly only comparing ICEs run on even fossil natural gas (which Ffe München has proven to be lower in CO2 than EVs!) or modern biofuels, e-fuels, hydrogen, etc. then it's a fraudulent comparison which is apples to oranges.
IT IS 100% CERTAIN even according to the most extreme pro-EV propaganda that at the mileages these things are driven per year ICE is far cleaner even when ICE uses purely fossil fuels and no biofuels etc. at all!
Then we can add to that how even if they were the same in emissions in that narrow scope, if we widen the scope to include THE COSTS of EVs which befall on society, taxpayers, etc. which are HORRENDOUS in scale, that easily pushes EVs into being far worse for the environment!
UN Climate Council has found nations' wealth to be the most important factor affecting nations' true ability to reduce CO2. Pushing EVs on people DESTROYS nations' wealth and REMOVES their ability to invest into actually effective CO2-reduction.
Do you not have any idea how much EVs cost?? Do you not realise that we need MONEY to pay for CO2-reduction, instead of squandering it on unintelligent weak peoples' emotional, thoughtless, childish indulgences?
@@pistonburner6448Wow dude... if you're this impassioned, why are you wasting your time trolling UA-cam comments? Get offline and go make a difference.
cant wait until it comes to Norway. i allso have had a twizy for many years. Can i ask what microphone u are using?
These small electric cars have the added advantage of being eisier for the fire brigade to extinguish during a thermal runaway fire.😊
I've followed all the twist and turns that the Microlino took to reach production and have to say that the car as first conceived was completely different car so comparing the price of that car to the one that made it to production is really not fair. And if you don't like the price now - Wait till you see the one that meets US specs and is even more expensive.
My first two cars were BMW Isettas, basically this car with an old motorbike engine. One thing that made it super cool, made people smile and made it easier to use was the steering wheel which folded out as the door opened so you had the full width of the car to step into, turn round and sit down and as the driver, you just stood up and stepped out. I’m really disappointed that the Microlino doesn’t have that feature. Otherwise, I love it.
The front door was the flaw. That's what killed the Isetta. It's a shame they wasted weight shaving opportunity and easier ingress and egress keeping the front door flaw. A sliding door on one side is the natural update required missing. Some nostalgia is not wise to cling to.
I’ve made several trips to Italy and have some Italian family. The name - Too close to pisolino!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂. That was the funniest video I’ve ever seen on the channel.
Pisolino means nap!
To make your joke work, spell it as pisellino😅
My dream car
They price the early adopter ones according to demand (which probably is off the charts), to fund the development of the company and to fund the development of the cheaper mass production version that I guess could come soon enough, at some point, who knows, if they can mass produce hundreds of thousands or even millions of these, they might sell these at $8000 or even $5000.
then it would be worth buying
That dog zoom, while Kyle was talking😂
Kyle your videos are Always TopNotch!! How many EV’s do you and your wife Own?
DU in German means “YOU”. What was that Maserati beside you before you reversed to the elevator? When you plugged the car in, the center screen presented the “M-CRO” logo before showing the buttons.
Try Silence S04 also. Cheaper and lighter so it can be registred as quadricycle which can save you money for toll roads.
The Microlino is a quadricycle. It's L7e rather than L6e so the license and tax requirements could be different depending on which country you're in, but it's not a car. The S04 isn't available yet, but does look promising. I'm sceptical though because the photography still shows it as left hand drive, and there are no circumstances under which I'd want that. Just because of basic health and safety, parking in car parks and using the ticket machine at the gate, layout of the roads and so on and so forth. Hopefully if it comes to the UK and goes into scale production, it'll be a right hand drive model. Inability to do that suggests gross incompetence to me (a concern with the Microlino and Ami too obviously).
Reminds me of that one episode of these british guys who often drive odd cars. The older guy drove this tiny car (probably 1/2 the size of the Microlino, through the lobby of company which produced his shows, into an elevator and then through the open office area of the people who produce the show. He was pretty much stuck in there. All hunched over and such. I'm sure someone remembers this and can reference the show.
Top Gear, with Jeremy Clarkson in the Peel P50? One of the more famous episodes from the whole series?
@@jessebrook1688 YES!! Top Gear! Thank you!
Right hand drive? I grew up in the 1960's/70's with a neighbour who had an ORIGINAL Isetta THREE wheeler version! (2 stroke engine!) I have loved the concept ever since! During that period, smaller lighter and AFFORDABLE cars were becoming the largest sellers in Europe! (Mini, Messerschmitt, Hillman Imp, FIAT 500/600, Citroen 2CV/6 Dyane etc) The evolution of cars into status symbols, instead of utility tools to get you and your family beyond the town you lived in, for work, or recreation, has PERVERTED the concept and made these essential tools a luxury item.
Ther Microlino, is a BRILLIANT concept, that will no doubt become a much better product in time, whilst providing everything you NEED to get about, whether that is commuting, shopping, or the odd picnic in the country! It doesn't pretend to be anything it is not! Make a Microlino "Max" that is 6" wider and give it the ability to keep up with highway traffic (70-80MPH) and a faster charger to help standardise the charging infrastructure, and the car will be at "peak fun", both to drive and to own! I also agree on the pricing point! This should become easier with economies of scale, but as a "niche" manufacturer, producing a hugely popular vehicle, I see no reasons this should not come with time and EXTRA INVESTMENT! (manufacturing plant in the UK please? - allowing RHD and export to other such regions?)
Do you remember the registration of your neighbour's three-wheeler Isetta?
I love that you accidentally called yourself rich. 🤣🤣. Amazing video!! 😊
Now imagine the Microlino parked in the Bed of the Cybertruck…
Microlino and Cybertruck…
Just good Friends…
would you also do an Evetta EV review as I'd love to know which clone is best.
It's so cool
Should be proximity key only. That key sticking out of the stalk is a design flaw.
To be allowed to drive on the Autobahn, your vehicle must be able to do "more than 60 kph". That is the only rule in regards of speed. 90 kph is plenty enough.
It is legal to drive on the Autobahn. The maximum speed must be more than 60 km/h.
The thing in the vehicle registration certificate is as follows. The 13 kW stated under P.2 is the continuous power for 30 minutes, max power is 19 kW.
Will there be anticipated safe exit issues in event of collision, if contemplating USA entry? Pretty cool though!
no problem, they have a window hammer in the glove box 🤣
The original 1950s/1960s Isetta and Heinkel bubble cars had a standard sunroof more for exiting the car after a frontal crash than for fresh air, and I presume this is the same. You just have to hope that you still have the use of your legs after such a collision.
Sorry if I missed it, but is the battery air- or liquid-cooled? Because a small, air-cooled pack (so, low lifetime) in an expensive car makes the price that much harder to swallow.
Probably air-cooled, with low motor power and charging speed, you really don't need liquid cooling
If the base model was $12k and top of the line model was $15k it would make sense
I don’t think I’ll be going any smaller than my Mini Cooper S E thank you, at least the Mini has the power/ speed to get away from the big trucks on the highway!
Cute little car hope they bring it to the uk
It's less than a Harley Davidson Livewire....better mileage range...roof for the rain and the sunroof for other times. With that top of the line battery and refinements...that's a serious daily commuter and regional run about.
On the other hand, you could buy an entire Zero motorcycle (with more power than the Microlino) plus a Tata Nano for less than $20k, then put the Zero drivetrain in the Nano.
can you recline the seat to almost level for sleeping ?
I ordered one❤
so...totally cool,
I WANT ONE!!!
Range test please.. Also does it come with a/c?
lol the zoom.. def something i would do
One suspects these guys have been as hurt by inflation as anyone else - so either they sell buckets and the price comes down, OR all the improvements Kyle talks about in the video bring the quality up to match the price point. I would personally love to see so many of these on the road, be THE car you saw at the supermarket etc. However you've got the Dacia Spring filling that small utilitarian hole in the market and more competition is going to come through. I think the Microlino is a much better and more versatile vehicle than the Citroen AMI, but it also doesn't have the same carrying capacity. The AMI passes the 'big sports bag' test for example, while the Microlino does not. Maybe if the Microlino had a split seat where the passenger side folded down, then it could be more useful and less of just a status symbol. There's real potential with this car and I would love to see it find that sweet spot and sell through the roof.
Cool. If quality can be achieved, high volume would easily bring down the price. Thanks!
Smart is closing its order books for the EQ Fortwo from April 2023.
The isetta bubble the steering wheel lurched forward with the door so it was easier to get in…
Isetta was a vehicle designed by ISO, an italian company, , not BMW. Presented in 1953.
It was produced by BMW under license.
Official BMW name for the Isetta was BMW 250, but many used its original ISO's name.
I want one here in Alabama ❤❤❤❤
Order it in light mint green of course. Its like a higher quality Ami but does 56mph instead of 28mph. As you say, its too expensive so its really just a wealthy play thing.
90 km/h to you are 21, are the new rules that are comming in eu .
so you are right this is aiming to be a toy for kids between 16-21
but im not sure they thought about the student driver situation, that needs a passenger of higher age in the car 🤣 imagine buying this, to get in the passenger seat 😆
@@Hansen710 Oh, ok, i didnt know about that (im in the UK).
I think it's more than a wealthy play thing. If you don't have kids this car could be all you need if you live in a city. Lifetime cost will be lower than a regular car, unless it breaks down a lot which would be my concern.
