I've been using a dummy patch cable into the headphone jack to shut off the speakers. Tip #4: use a cable from Phones to aux-in to really overdrive every feature.
First tip acoustic piano: I shut my keyboard off and try to choose between those sounds with the knob. But when I turned it on, it goes to one of those selected choices on the knob dial.
non ci credo Francesco.. cercavo il modo per disabilitare gli speakers e ho trovato il tuo video!!!! io ho il CS e funziona allo stesso modo! Grazie!!!!!!
Hi Francesco! I'm a beginning piano player and bought myself a CP as a secondary keyboard because I got inspired by your covers and so that I can practice/play anywhere. Will receive it by the end of month. So excited!
As a owner of Refaces and PSS a50, the keybed is nearly the same only differences are Black keys are mat not glossy and overall keybed it doesnt go as deep down as in the refaces (maybe there is some felt under the keybed which holds it back)
Record the music you play with the keyboard directly from the output so you can switch to that track when you edit the video because the keys, fingers tapping noise are a bit annoying and loud.
Thanks for posting...I heard about the secret piano but didn't know how to access. Also the endless loop...loop...loop....loop...loop...loop...............
Next time you do a video dont put your mic/camera on the same table that your instrument is on....every time you touch anything the vibrations bleed right into the audio.
what's with the swing vocal music that is competing (overpowering) with your voice? I thought I had another browser tab playing something at first. Ruins your video which I'm sure would have been interesting.
Love your videos :). Question. How light can you touch the keybed to make the sound? For me, the note doesn't get registered if I press the key very softly even if I press it all the way down. I tried the same thing with my pss-a50 and it actually plays that note when I press with the same lightness. I think it's normal but I thought the keybed of pss was the same as the reface series.. Just curious. Thank you!
btw some people have tweaked the electronics +rotary knob so that it could could have a designated acoustic slot (+lock into position dead center at the bottom with the acoustic piano sound.) If there are any electronic people reading this (who know how to do that) I will pay the shipping both ways to pay someone to tweak a couple CP's for me. It's such a great keyboard with this feature but I don't want the knob to slip out of place in the middle of a song.. YAMAHA... I would pay extra for a "deluxe" CP (exactly the same as the original, -don't change anything else, please) but with just one change = a knob with a designated stopping point for the acoustic piano.
I don't know, my point of view is that they wanted to make it looks like and extra in the reface's sounds, been this keyboard firstly thought for electric pianos.
I can't get mine to stay between sounds. So I can't get the piano. It goes straight from one sound to the next. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that on purpose.
@@FrancescoNasone Thank you Francesco! It's rare and wonderful to get replies from video posters. I gave it the old college try with your extra confidence in me. I've tried it a few more times moving the dial as slow as possible while watching the light go from one keyboard to the next. There is never a point in between. I'm wondering if they revamped the new ones to make it more difficult to access that piano. They just don't want to give away too much.
@@enjolisThe keyboard has to be turned off while you turn the knob in between settings. It won’t work while the keyboard is on. Works like a charm if you move it with the keyboard off and then turn it on.

Thank you for the video. Do you have to turn off the keyboard every time you want a piano sound ? Please eliminate the background music on future videos it's rather distracting
Thanks for confirming Francesco, that's like a functionality Apple would have invented 🤣 needlessly quirky and totally impractical, in the middle of a song you have to turn off to get a piano sound, what were they thinking, thanks for the very handy tips and useful video insight 👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely. A quick question. Will recommend this for beginners. I currently have a shabby keyboard and I am not quite happy with the weight balance of that one.
Thanks! The Yamaha cp is a professional keyboard. About the weight balance of the keys I thing you will be lot mor happy with the cp keys dynamic, especially if you’re going to use the electric piano sounds, but is not like a real piano or a pro digital piano.

You can but you have to update the software and loose the hidden piano
@@fennarios are you sure you can loose this piano by updating?

It’s not that the background music was too loud for me to hear your voice, but it somehow made it almost impossible to focus on what you were saying.
Ok but if you just read the manual the third hidden thing is clearly written at page 41.

Nice tips but you should probably add a tip on how to turn the speakers back on
It’s just do the same for turn them off, again
If you play the Reface CP through a Digitech Mosaic you can also get a decent fake organ sound (RD I with Chorus and Tremolo)
Excellent tips thanks for sharing 😁

Hi, does reface work from USB power, without using batteries, without using the power supply, just USB connection from the computer?
Yes! You need a 5v to 9c usb cable. I use it usually with a power bank check this vid ua-cam.com/video/ddotWWkyNls/v-deo.html

On a delay effects box they call it repeat or feedback.
