I have agreed to be a merit badge counselor for this merit badge during the CoronaVirus lock down. This has been a big help in figuring out how to do these requirements while being housebound. I think I can use skype to work with the boys and they can use the computer to access many of these requirements. Thanks,
@@EagleScoutMacGuzman It went well. We had several sessions and the boys are only lacking the volunteer work to complete the badge. Last eek I did a zoom class for 23 boys for the district and 4 have already completed the badge with everything using hours from volunteering over some time - they do regular volunteer sessions and are continuing through the lock down - food bank and meals-on- wheels. I put a note on my requirements plan crediting you with the help you have given me. Glad you have put these on FaceBook for folks like me who need some help.Proud of my kids.
@@EagleScoutMacGuzman I thought I replied, but I don't see it. I have done the training for 2 groups now. My grandson's troop had 3 boys on zoom. We met several times over zoom and they only have 1 or 2 requirements left to complete. I also did one long session with the council group of 23 kids and 5 have completed the requirements already. I put at the top of the plan I sent to the kids a thank you to you, by name. Thanks for the help. Susanne
I'm going to a merit badge day friday, and I need to know if there are any pre reqs for both this badge, and citizenship in the world. Could you drop them below if there are? Thanks
To look over what they did not complete at the camp and get that stuff done before they forget they have that parshal and hold on to their blue card since if they lose it that means I have to start all over again on the merit badge. After they earn any merit badge to update it with their scoutmaster scribe so there's a second record of them earning the merit badge.
@xfile x every Troop should have access to Scoutbook. Try to keep that up to date. Not just ranks and badges but campouts, hikes, service hours too. Our Life to Eagle Scout Coordinator takes photos of Handbook each rank page in case it gets lost or damaged.

That’s great Susanne OBrien. My district is hosting online Merit Badges each week starting on Monday. I signed up for Public Health👍
Susan OBrien how did your MB session go? Ours lasted 4 days with 60-90 minute sessions each day.

Volunteered at a local charity with a few of the other guys in my troop that were taking it too.

@TheHotCoolJAGER1 that is the best way to do it. I am completing the Weather MB in a similar way. Teh Counselor works at a NWS weather station.
