I'm pretty sure the reason why they want you to pull not push is because the small little piece that moves is just like a crescent wrench you want to push when the little piece is facing you because it could slip that way and by pulling it it puts pressure on a different part of the opening of mouth on it
Though I certainly like tools, for someone who who is going to install half a dozen Mini-Splits in his house then put the wrench away forever, wouldn't a normal torque wrench with a set of crows feet be adaquate?
From a metrology view point, you will have a more even torque on the nut with a box type crows foot. 4 or 6 sides vs. just two sides, do to the opening. Two sides would want make the nut oblong in shape which would causing the threads to bind more so it would be an improper torque on a brass nut since it's softer material as well compared to a steel nut which would hold its shape better under toqure, that is what you must concider. Remember what kind of accuracy do you really need is this mil-spec and do you recalibrate the tool on a repeatable bases.
I went back and forth before choosing the CPS. I like the way the handle is more minimal on the BlackMax but honestly I'm sure that the Yellow Jacket is excellent as well. Maybe I'll order one and make a comparison video. The price seems to very somewhat as both were about the same price when I bought the CPS.
Ha, good point! Technically it does measure torque in "reverse" so I think it's "okay" under that scenario. I could be wrong but the manual didn't say that you should not use it for reverse rotations.
@@BenjaminSahlstrom its a joke about a Black Jack which is a Type of bludgeoning weapon. not My funniest joke sry. Black Max would be black jack's brother and also since they black they be brothers.
@@garrysekelli6776 Ha that's great! Thanks for the explanation. I probably should have done the typical "nod and laugh" while pretending to know what the joke is about. Thanks for the comment!
How would you pull the wrench when the flare nut is on the opposite side. Example the flare nut on the outdoor unit seems like you would have to push to tighten instead of pulling?
Well if your tools are making you money then it's a investment. I know alot of people will say they have a feel for tightening without a torque wrench and that's perfectly fine for them , and works for many. I got the torque wrench to eliminate any variables and to do it how manufacturers specify . Customers do their research more than ever today and if you install many of these ,you will have some look at what your doing and they will point out any deviations from what they have seen to be the proper way to do it .
You are the reason why people like myself and others have to fix your screw up. By doing that, your mushroom the fittings and sometimes the fitting on the unit which has to be removed and replaced. 99% of leaks are from people strong arming them
after seeing your video, I ordered this CPS Blackmax. It is a really good tool which made me install my 2-ton Senville so easy. Thanks!!
I can't see the description of the videos you refer to
I use one for my RV shop when working on Rv’s. Only way to go.
Very well described. Thank you.

Aún la tienes, vale la pena?
Adjustable wrenches should always be pulled into the adjustable jaws. Keeps them from opening up.
Thanks for the video =)
Where did the rest of the install go?

@@monadking2761 I had to google Metrology. That's wicked smart. Thanks! 😊
I was wondering the same thing since I have crows feet and would rather hold onto 150$ considering I’m only installing one mini-split.
Curious why you chose the Blackmax over the Yellow Jacket which is about $27 less?
I have the yellow jacket car crunch in my truck it is amazing

@@BenjaminSahlstrom if you're not aware, the website camelcamelcamel.com is a nifty way to view Amazon price history...
The yellow jacket that I looked at said starts at 18nm and this one starts at about 8nm I think.
I got the cps and i wanna return it already
Thank you
Does the neck give when the torque setting is achieved?
No.
That...is a cool tool
Can you flip the head 180 for those tricky angles?
No.
You said not to use in reverse and you loosened the fitting without turning the wrench around or getting another wrench to loosen

It's not that it can't be used in 'reverse', but that it's less prone to slippage and is it's most accurate when used 'forward'.
How much
About $175.
Wow amazing products
Sir please give me this products
I wish I could! I couldn't get them to give one to me either! ;)
Why use that vs a regular digital torque wrench with crows feet?
I give up, what would happen if it was used as a wrench while turned off?
Men what is price in us dollar...
$175
Very costley price in us dollar...
Finally ive found jack's Brother.
I'm not smart enough to know what that means. I must spend too much time working or something.

Too expensive, just tighten as much as you can and you're good.
