Mike Bickle's Spiritual Death Trap: IHOP-KC Turned Christians Into Unbelievers

Back in October a former member posted an hour-long video about her experience and said she is no longer a Christian because of the spiritual abuse at IHOP-KC. This is a sad consequence almost nobody wants to talk about.
Spiritual abuse as a concept and point of discussion is still fairly new. The questions that come up are what is it and what can its effect be? And how bad was it at IHOP-KC?
We have heard about some who were spiritually abused and stopped going to church, but not so much about those who not only stopped going to church but also left the faith.
How many kids arrived in Kansas City to help start a global revival but departed as atheists? Imagine as a parent sending your daughter there and funding the experience then finding out she abandoned God.
People like Rick Joyner talk about restoring Bickle to ministry but don't talk about restoring the abuse victims to their relationship with God.
Restitution is great as a concept and important, but what about those who are no longer walking with Christ? What are Isaac Bennett and IHOP-KC leaders going to do about this? What is God going to do to them if they do nothing?
Jesus told them this parable:
"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."

We were on staff there for 20 yrs and when we left in 2019, we left Charismania totally for an evangelical church. Our pastor teachs ONLY the Bible and full books verse by verse. It is like hearing truth for the first time in decades. We don't miss the crazy dreams and false prophecies and all the hyped up emotionalism a bit.

There were seasons when ihop was way out there. And, there were seasons when the Lord greatly used them. The global intercession, the worship team, the powerful gift too the Nations will remain. It’s called GROWTH … it’s called MATURITY … ! It’s sad ! Sad that the church in America is so easily swayed by lack of understanding regarding the “gifts of the Spirit,” and as always… throws out the bath water, including the Truth that the baby has too MATURE. !!!!
One can preach, and teach the word all their days. But, the Truth is, without the illumination of the Holy Spirit on that scripture, the depth of revelation will NEVER COME too LIFE. 😢. Lord, help the Church, on the aUSA, help their attitude toward the FULL Counsel of GOD 😫
