Thanks .. every one of those AW chassis I have for the track I rip apart and get rid of the grease and the other tips you have mentioned Thanks Much , great video .. 2 years ago or Today 😊
Good info. The T-jet cars are a lot of fun to tinker with. Problem!! Every Auto World Ultra G car that I've purchased has a a lose rear axle. Very sloppy rear ends, I'm not happy with them. I've had to peen them to make them work. I don't mind doing that but It's 2021, this should not be happening.. I going to send them an email and see what they say. That is if they answer my email?? Have fun racing!!! Keep making videos!
So the hubs are under parts in the the Aurora section the are tuff ones replacements the tires are in the silicon tire section then go to the super tires link at the top of the page and there is all kinds of size to choose from
Troy, that was a helpful video. I'm wondering if you can recommend a source for aftermarket tires for the stock Autowork ThunderJet Ultra G? I have been trying to find a proper size. I've ordered several different sizes but all of them were way smaller in diameter than the stock tires that came with the cars.
The only issue I've had with Johnny Lightning is their little Corvette convertible bodies dont fit on any of my chassis because they are just too tiny. The shoes won't clear the front end making the car undriveable.
What crap this is. I've raced tjets tuff ones and AFX 's since 1969 at 10 years old. All you need to know is a few simple things. Keep the car spotless clean, how to adjust brush tension, where to lightly oil, and good tires(silicone) for traction. I was here from the first playing mantis/johnny lightning stuff to the current ultra g's/X tractions. I have all my old aurora cars and about 1,000 ultra g /xtractions. All you have to do with these new cars is take them out of the package and put them on the track. Almost every time the car will just plain COOK! Fast as hell! Loose rear axle and sloppy gears and all! Anyone who takes one of these cars out of the package and tears it down without even testing it is a fool! If a car isnt working well, which is rare, then you use your HO skills to work it. Auto world cars are FAST, even with all the slop and grease.

Appreciate you sharing I’m just getting into the slot car I have 69 Camaro on the way I’ll be following for more
Could you do a video sometime on the different wheel sizes and take some of the mystery out of it? Thanks
great video. some good info.
Great information!! Thank You!!!
I can always count on any car from Auto World to need some work before I run it on the track. The do not have the quality that they used to have.
