This is definitively one of my absolute favorite songs I've ever done on this channel. This cover came together exactly how I envisioned it and chiisana did masterful job re-creating the emotion and beauty of LiSA's original performance! I love love love this song and have wanted to cover it for years now, so this cover is a dream come true. It was really tough to record and play the fingerstyle parts in the verses on this track, since I literally have never played fingerstyle in my life, but it was a challenge that was worth it! Being able to get these parts sounding so good was incredibly rewarding 💖
I really wanted to give this track some 80s rock ballad flair so I got HUGE on the latter choruses and wrote a banger melodic guitar solo; it's def one of my fave solos I've ever done and I hope you love it as much as I do! I wanted to make sure this video looked as good as the song sounded so I did two locations and tried to get really beautiful shots; it turned out suuuuper well and I'm really happy with the shots :D. A truly amazing cover! I love it, the emotions going into it that you can truly feel. The words resonate with me emotionally a lot, and there is a lot of meaning in them. I know you didn't write the original lyrics but this translation and english version of it hits me differently than that one does. I love both this and the original a lot! They're tugging at different heartstrings? Making an english cover that to me at least is at nearly the same level as the original is truly amazing!
It's a real shame and unfair that such an amazing cover hasn't gotten more views or popularity but I guess that's how the world is...
Either way, I at least, truly love you work with this song. I listen to it all the time. Amazingly done!
