Just replaced my Zeiss Planar 50mm f/2 with a Leica Summicron Rigid on the MD 262. The Zeiss was too sharp and the Rigid showed a buttery smooth detailed rendering without the aggressive sharpness. A great lens that gives digital a filmic look...!

Hello Brian, the hood I am using right now is the Leica original IROOA hood, it works perfectly on 35 Summicronv1/Summaron2.8/Summaron3.5lateversion as well
Yes, I have bought a few on eBay. They resemble the original but screw into the filter thread. One can use a filter without vignetting, but not a stack.
