Just replaced my Zeiss Planar 50mm f/2 with a Leica Summicron Rigid on the MD 262.
The Zeiss was too sharp and the Rigid showed a buttery smooth detailed rendering without the aggressive sharpness. A great lens that gives digital a filmic look...!

Hi Ben, I really enjoyed your review of a lens I own as well. Great for black and white photography. You present in a very pleasant way and I would love to see more of your videos, that is why I subscribed.

Greetings from not so sunny England. Thanks for a great review and some very interesting shots which while obviously of China reminded me slightly of northern Italy, perhaps there’s something in the design of the apartments? I also took a moment to look at your website which and the portfolios of shots including yours which were all hugely impressive. Best of lick with the channel.

Hello Benjamin, Loving this review, I have one of these lenses and its one of the best. I have been struggling to get a vintage style lens hood. Please advise what one you are using. Thanks Brian

Hello Brian, the hood I am using right now is the Leica original IROOA hood, it works perfectly on 35 Summicronv1/Summaron2.8/Summaron3.5lateversion as well

Hi Benjamin is there a compatible aftermarket hood that could be used on Rigid?

Yes, I have bought a few on eBay. They resemble the original but screw into the filter thread. One can use a filter without vignetting, but not a stack.
