- Today we unbox a saxophone... Why? Because I am a sax player! I learned how to play ukulele because my goal is to turn everyone in the world into a musician and the ukulele is the perfect instrument to do that with!
The saxophone was my first real instrument and my introduction to the world of music. I have never owned my own saxophone until today and I am thrilled about it.

This got buried under Friday videos and I had to search it out. I smiled so wide when you took it out of the case and teared up. That was beautiful.
I also liked the Fluke. It sounds like it would make a nice low-G instrument, but when I saw the price at Amazon, it kind of took my breath away.
You kept saying you didn’t remember your music, but it seems you remembered more than well. You’re incredibly talented.

She made this cheap instrument sound very nice. Just shows how good she is. For all those out there who want to buy a saxophone I wouldn’t suggest mendini because they are meant to break more. I’m got one in six grade and managed to make it to 7th grade until and bunch of keys fell out.
It would be so cool if you did the melody as the saxophone.😊

This COLOR! My eyes fell into the depths of it's beauty, upon seeing this playable Art. It's gorgeous, gotta see styling photos on IG. Saxophone play along videos is a big YES. That's a fairly affordable price (Mmm, another uke or saxophone?) Got me thinking of researching saxophones now. Seriously, this saxophone is a work of Art, a kinetic sculpture. Well done finding a deal, encourages the wonder of perhaps expanding my musical talents. Although "talents" maybe exaggerating, if i can only make screeching noises at first, I just call it New Wave Jazz:) Thanks for inviting us to your party. Bonus, seeing your new uke too! Love the design and old world charm, blended with the new technology. The past mixed with the future makes a lovely Present🎵🎁🎵 Now all we need to do is invent the Ukeophone. Happy sounding days Ms.B

I'm sorry I saw this 7 months too late, but I am super happy that you now (rather then) own a Tenor sax. I played Alto for a while and wanna move to Tenor. I hope you have a blast when you play it. I saw your Ukelele & Tenor sax play-along of Havana and was thoroughly impressed.
Congrats, it's great seeing musicians reunite with instruments they used to play, it really does feel like getting a piece of yourself back.

$339!!!! That's a great deal! I bought a tenor sax for my granddaughter. It's a Jupiter and I bought it used from a music store and it was $799. Maybe not the best deal. Who knows. At any rate, my question to you is how often do you have to take a saxophone in to get it cleaned? Just now I'm seeing the Fluke. How cute and practical! And it sounds great!

Jupiter saxophones are pretty good, so you made a good choice with that!
There are cleaning accessories you can use on saxophone. I like using these after every practice.
It's good to get a sax tuned up and cleaned 2x a year... after marching season and after the school year
So when it comes to budget saxophones. It's always hard to find a decent well built and great thick/rich sounding saxophone. Now Mendini is a brand I have heard to be great for beginners but Mendini has some issues with packaging and build wise. The parts will tend to wear after a while and tuning will get difficult. Now I would suggest looking into Antigua Saxes for some decently well priced saxophones. Or maybe some Selmer Bundy saxophones.
Now I'm not saying Mendini is so bad, they have good sounds and such a beautiful design. And will recommend for Amateur saxophonists. For you I would recommend a Antigua Tenor Saxophone for a more rich sound for a good price

I play viola, alto & baritone sax, uke. I own violas & ukes and want a sax too but I didn't consider Medini because they make violins that aren't really great. I guess I was wrong to judge the brand though. Yours sax sounds really solid.
