Holy bliip bluup I can so see this :'D "In the great Texan outdoors, don't let your dogs disappear, someone could adopt them and take vverrrry good care of them, just like babies!"
maybe alveus should have dog ambassadors: teaching people about microchipping, neutering/spaying, proper tags (even inside collars) and leash training (maybe adopt one of your neighbor's anatoli shepards ugh those dogs are wonderful)
7:38 I am so offended and can’t stop laughing. My dogs name is Oreo (chosen by the previous owner and he’s not even black and white) so while I’m laughing about that she says it’s like naming your kid Sara, my name lol Neither names I chose by the way. To add my cats name is Lola which is also another overly used pet name haha I think my son is the only one with a unique name so I’ll take credit for that one.
@@doftly I love that. Thanks for teaching me! I also call my cat WoeWa when she’s just waking up or doing a whiney meow. I’m not a fan of baby talk but this isn’t baby talk, it’s different, like just a fun way to say Lola haha I’m so glad someone else in the world gets it. The fact its a toddler and I’m 38 makes me feel a little odd but who cares lol
Can confirm that you can get a IV drip or anything similar here in AZ , a nurse can come to you for it! They range around 200 and if you don’t like them going to your house, you can visit a hospital or Urgent care
itchiness can have several issues. most common it's a dietary issue, but with those long ears, it could be an ear infection. his coloring could also indicate sesitive skin, some colorings of dog breeds tend to have more skin issues than others. possibly even just sunburn. i hope they get back to their owners and that they ntake measures in case this happens again!
I was an EMT and when I was going through my advanced training, we had to have so many sticks before we could test. Yeah, we gave IVs to people with hangovers, firefighters cops each other, that sort of thing.
the first time my nursing student cousin in AZ told me theres a truck you can buy saline drips from for partying a little too hard, i thought she was just messing with my MN ass
getting IVs is either for rich people or nations with free/cheaper healthcare (i follow a lot of ppl who live in asia they have an IV culture in some places) so i get maya’s initial confusion abt the IVs
0:44...The I.V. trend is a regular feature at Rogan's studio in Austin . Many studio's in L.A. too... not for me : NO needles !! and , no liquor . Pre maintenance is a remedy !?...10:40..."you're getting tea-bagged !!!...." 😁🤣😂...
The IV nurse stuff she talked about in the beginning is a total scam lol. Works just as well as drinking water throughout the day- so basically for ~~lazy~~ rich people who want placebo :P
Not really, doctors can basically erase hangovers. A cousin of mine landed in the hospital once with (almost) alcohol poisoning and the Dr. told us that the right amount of whatever IV fluid they give in these cases can prevent any headaches at all but in cases like my cousin's (young dumb kids that don't know when to stop drinking) they give them just enough to keep them healthy but not enough to prevent the hangover. lol
Of course they aren’t neutered. It’s the south after all. Love the irresponsible pet parents. Always being part of the problem instead of part of the solution. Unaltered dogs will go out of their way to get out to go and mate so there’s just one more reason to get your dogs and cats spayed and neutered. Millions of dogs and cats are being euthanized every year simply because there aren’t enough home. These are healthy and adoptable pets. Euthanasia rates are through the roof in the south especially. So are the missing/lost pets in the south. The numbers compared to other areas of the country are insane. There are low cost spay and neuter programs and veterinary programs in every state that can help pet parents spay and neuter their pets. They just have to care enough and be willing to educate themselves about what is best for their dog or cat. If you can’t afford vet care for the life of your pet and don’t see the point in spaying and neutering, please for the sake of the innocent animal, do not get an animal. Any animal. Ever. Get a stuffed animal or a picture of an animal. Animals deserve better.
"You yelled at me in my dream...." That conversation never seems to end well. ^Also, we just found these two dogs this morning". For the last three months? Do you just let them go every night and re discover them every morning?
the collars aren't "useless" without a tag. they can be used to attach a leash as well as to control the dog, if needed. I'm surprised you were so desperate to move the dogs away from the unused land on your *animal sanctuary* . I appreciate they aren't appropriate "ambasadors" but ideally you could have helped them out for the sake of helping them as individuals, even if that is off brand. to reurn them to abusers (shock collar), to people who will *hunt* with them, makes me question what you are even doing.
1. Collars are useless for IDENTIFICATION if they don't have a tag. 2. This is not just a place that can take in every animal on earth. Do you think your local zoo would take in a stray dog? Because that's more in line of what Alveus is, instead of the large plot of land where every random stray dog can run wild like you think it is.
People have been hunting with dogs since before we domesticated them. Do I agree that having loosely controlled dogs on others property is good? No. They should have been better trained and had GPS collars. I also don't really agree that we need dogs to hunt nowadays but some people prefer to still use them. As long as they are controlled in some way and not bothering anyone, I don't think that's ever going to change. Also the sight of a shock collar does nothing to tell us if the owner is abusive. It's another tool that can be used in good ways and abusive ways. We don't know the owner. We don't know how they train the dogs. Edit: I just looked more carefully and they aren't even shock collars. They're normal ass leather collars. Obviously with no identification or anything but still. Not a shock collar. Also this is an animal sanctuary for ambassadors. Not lost dogs.
@@ElijahCem The hound was wearing a shock collar originally but they didn't use any footage showing it for this video. I do 100% agree with everything you said though.
@@UhOphelia 1. I didn't hear her refer to "IDENTIFICATION" specifically. Did she? If so - fair enough. 2. I understand the limitations of the sanctuary. Likewise, I understand a zoo, which is a for profit buisness, would have no interest in helping these dogs (or even these dogs long term). I also wasn't advocating for Alveus to house "every random stray dog". But they found themselves with _these_ dogs, by chance, and returned them to what is surely an unsafe enviroment and whilst you may consider a purported *sanctuary* to be akin to a buisness that exploits animals, I, perhaps naively, had assumed it was trying to help them.
@@blueillyriablue6913 So what would you want them to do? Do you want them to hunt down the owners and kill them or something? When was the last time you went outside and interacted with someone in the real world?

Nah, it's just Maya is so tiny herself ^_^
I love borzois, such beautiful doggos

I was once cornered by a Cane Corso guard dog named Sarah.
No chips, no tags, not fixed, wearing shock collars. Whoever owns them really shouldn't own them.
