I’ve really grown to like hughie more and more. I can see why chicks dig him so much now. And the fact that he’s neither a supe and doesn’t have the military training or physical strength the other boys have kinda makes him all the more and badass. And he’s dating starlight. Dude is cool as hell. Look at all hes been through and how steadfast he has been about it. He’s definitely done his part. His character has been great this season I think, the scenes with his dad and Mom are great, he did a mission impossible against homelander, he had that badass kill in episode 4.
Jeffre's character is basically throwback to Tyler Durden from Fight's Club. You'll notice that his character is basically 2nd version who has to agree with Butchers words all the time. Like first scene that who came up with stoopid name like The Boys, definitely what Butcher thinks 'bout it. Another example is them talking about sons and if he would've done something to his son and another example was in this: Butcher told him that Kimiko is good person and Annie isn't! it's like he is talking with himself and trying to justify everything or saying that his team is useless without him and they cannot do things properly. Basically Jeffreys character is justifying and approving all ideas and thought of Butcher, like when he said that his team are good guys and WE are bad ones so we gonna solve everything. This character is his alter-ego
Thank you. I think butcher let kessler know what was going on when they took that break and he pulled up to help butcher out while everyone was distracted. Even that is still a bit iffy on the timing but still
I never expected The Boys of all shows to make me cry, but they did it. Simon Pegg was amazing this episode and the whole Campbell plotline this season just broke me this episode.
Easily my favourite part is Ryan really making his decisions and standing up for them and homelander really seeing how he can work with Ryan’s ideals properly
33:58 Yeah I saw someone else say this, and I can understand it so ill try say it again for them the best I can The theory is, that when you are an adult and you are injected with comp.V , your superpower is based off your personality/trauma, Butcher gets laser vison/strength because of homelander, Hughie gets teleportation because in his eyes, his mother teleported out of his life. And when Hugh gets V, his superpower is phasing through matter, because his wife "phased" out of his/his son's life
Frenchie said he was worried kimiko would hate him but more worried she wouldn’t ? I was confused at first so that means he wants her to hate him because he feels he deserves it, because he hates himself...
@@zedkaa8689 oh wait I never thought about him being worried she would condone it because if so why didn’t he just say that.. i thought that him saying he’s more worried she wouldn’t hate him is him wanting to be punished and because he hates himself. But yeah she would never condone his killing of innocent people for a mob boss, just because she wouldn’t hate him doesn’t mean she condones it, it would just mean their bond is strong and she can clearly see the good in him and how remorseful he is.
It is about her moral character. If she was okay with his sins then she would be a bad person (in his worldview) and he doesn't want her to be a bad person who is as damned as he is. (In his world-view)
Well it's understandable. She's raw right now after what Firecracker did. Everyone has their breaking point and She's finally reached hers. Which I'm guessing is why her powers are on the fritz. Her emotional state is messed up, much like nearly every other character in this series.
Frenchie has never been in a situation where he has had to directly address who he has killed. Yes, he addressed the one making him kill, but imo that was just the beginning of addressing frenchie's past. So in my opinion, yes, meeting colin was a good way of showing how his past can always catch up to him.
Oh Man Hugh Campbell's death was so sad. I was almost sent to tears. But the way he walked through people was horrifying! Compound V is some sick twisted bile!
Kimiko was right. '' Maybe your dad's supposed to die!'' Huey hangs on to people. If they just let Simon Pegg die those people at the hospital would still be alive.
The butcher saw the death of the rabbit and the parasite leaving its body. Just remember that the compound v and the temporary, which can be more difficult due to their situation. and added that Kessler is a hallucination of his traumas that he makes him see!!!
My boy Ryan finally embracing his super nature. Hes basically going to become The punisher. Or more accurately a batman who kills considering he has more of a sense of justice, so basically Ben Afflecks Batman but with 0.5% of Supermans powers.
I do think there is a similarity between Hughie and Hugh’s powers. And we’ve seen that so far with a few parents and kids on V. Ryan and Homelander are similar powers, Translucent and his son are exactly the same.
AS wild, funny and heartbreaking as the episode was the thing that made me laugh until I could hardly breath was Butcher's "I'd call you a c*nt but..." line. had to pause, collect myself, then text the quote to my husband at work. he doesn't even watch the show, but that line was just too good.
I think what Homelander learned from both Sage and his reunion in the lab, while seeming positive in a sense at first, as a less unhinged approach, is really disturbing. He decides that in order to win over Ryan as his son to use as a pawn in his plan to overthrow the world, he's found a middle ground in dominating humans, in which he can warm his son up to easier. Instead of brutally killing humans directly, which his son reacts negatively to, he's simply easing his son into mass murder by now exploiting his virtuousness in teaching him that 'As long as your intentions are good, forcing good people to do bad things to bad guys isn't in itself a bad thing.' Imagine the chaos releasing a super-powered fourteen year old kid with that kind of mindset would cause on an international scale. This is part of one of the reasons why I love Amazon's adaptation of the The Boys, as they take the show's narrative questions in that direction often, while grounding the show in a way that's not self-serious. Based on Ryan's recent discussions with Butcher, and his maturing age though, I figured he'd be smarter than to fall for that sort of carrot from Homelander.
Yeah it definitely makes sense to me about him hallucinating Joe. It was always weird to me he knows everything about the boys and what they going through and even this episode knowing Frenchie a junkie
yeah but didn't it seem silly to have cate there who could either touch him to make him tell the truth or even hear in his thoughts he had no idea and was innocent and A-train thinking im cooked. Or am i forgetting something from Gen V?
@@seedking40to force them to do something she has to bare skin touch yes. Not the thoughts though. They can explain that away by saying she is back on meds though. But surely sage could have figured out to make cate use her powers for truth. I’m just nit picking though I don’t really care
@@stormblessedkiwi8049 We saw in Gen V that she can become overwhelmed by thoughts. So either she has trained to calm her mind or is on meds like you said. With so many people around I doubt she would want her mind open. As far as Sage goes I think she is just putting A Train into a box to use him as a card to play. She obviously knew from the start it was him. After all it was A train who she used to plant the bodies in a magician esque manner. If she needs a quick escape or something to be stolen A train is definitely someone you want in your corner. Between planting the bodies, stealing files, stealing V, and saving Hughie A Train is probably the most useful 7 member after Sage and Homelander. Also, Safe could have used Tek Knight to get to bottom of it, if she already didn't know. A Train is the only one that can get into a place so fast and leave as if no one ever entered. Plus she could just hack his phone records.
You should definitely check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, ,the acting was amazing.
Technically, Butcher’s ‘hallucination’ of Lenny was possibly just a bad dream and the other time in season 3 was brought on by Mindstorm’s powers. As for Butcher’s hallucination of Kessler, I do think that is what’s happening, but less like Venom and more like Hulk. The only connection with Venom is that he’s actively talking with his ‘persona’ and the weird worm thing inside him, but him blacking out, lashing out like a monster and destroying Ezekiel looked more like Bruce Banner turning into the Hulk. Also, I agree with Chris about the connection Hugh Sr’s powers have with Hughie’s when he took Temp V. Teleportation is just another form of super speed in a way and speeding your molecules so fast you go through objects and people is something the Flash and Reverse Flash do, and it would also tie with A-Train like how Butcher’s powers were like the same as Homelander’s.
I don't understand why you guys are so amazed that Numans daughter and Numan are bulletproof. And keep saying how numan is upgrading and all that. Its made very clear threwout the entire show than most of the supes are. Butcher shot starlight with a 50 cal rifle like 3 times. Soldier boy, homelander, queen mave , translucent, number of people on gen v as well. All bulletproof. The damn animals in this episode as well are all bulletproof, point is most of them are strong a durable on top of what ever powers. Lower tier supes arnt like gunpowder, mezmier, ect. That's all. Also, numans powers arnt to pop heads , she's a blood bender same as the girl in gen v. She said it in gen v. Poping heads is just her preferred way of killing . She can just control people's blood
@markstriker925 true , your 99% right there but to be fair, don't reslly know that for sure. If homelander clapped anyone's head I'm sure the same thing would happen even if they could be shot and take no damage. But I agree with you 100% lol just saying. But yeah, Popcorn ezekiel , blue hawk, there's alot of low teir as well. If I wanted to sit here for 20 mins and think of a bunch more I could but you get the point lol
Sage knows who the real moles are and she's okay with the discord A-Train and Ashley are sowing among the Seven. The one thing standing in her way is Homelander, the chaotic variable in her plan. Because remember what he told her in Episode 1? "We could put some your theories into practice on a global scale." Homelander only assumes he's part of that plan.
I think it's more like Butcher has an angel and devil on his two shoulders. The angel being his ex-wife that's driven to save Ryan, and tbe devil being Negan that's driven to kill Homelander. It's like a war within him and he's going back and forth.
Bro, we already know, but I’m glad you kept the rest of the Normies in the dark. But yeah, the popular theory going around is that Kessler (Jeffery Dean Morgan) isn’t really there, and Butcher is hallucinating him just like he did Becca. I feel like this is gonna hit us, not like the Sixth Sense, but more like that Scrubs episode “My Screw Up”. If you know, you know…
To answer that comment about phasing and regards to kitty. kitty would actually lose limbs and or completely out right have fatal injuries or die if she did that. Ex when she phased her hand into wolverines skull she lost her hand doing so
Don't forget that Ryan as Homelander's son shares the same powers with hum. He knew Adam was lying because of his heart rate. Homelander has sensed lies like that in previous seasons.
I think everyone is overlooking that Hughie’s dad’s forgetfulness/dementia is a very common result from a stroke in real life - it wasn’t a side-effect of the V. The V gave him Kitty Pryde powers and the dementia made it difficult for him to control those powers.
Possibly. I mean, the only time we've ever seen him is when he's with Butcher. He literally has an angel and a devil on his shoulder, likely caused by the now-superpowered tumor in his brain.
4:09 Maeve didn't die. Don't you remember the last episode in season 3? She was shown to be alive after the Soldier Boy explosion in CCTV camera and Ashley deleted the footage that showed it
“Tom Hanks” being Hughie’s dad’s final words kind of reminds me of the last words that Hughie’s girlfriend ever heard in the pilot being “Billie Joel” idk why.
But if negan is not real, who took the drugs for ryan to butcher? In this episode when butcher arrives that house, who opens and closes the other door of the car? Lol
The Frenchie & Colin storyline is totally fitting with the whole theme of the season. The sins of your past catching up with you. Kimiko's storyline is the exact same thing and nobody seems to have an issue with that. In fact you all seem excited to know more. How is one character having to come to terms with their past, in a season devoted to the concept, so interesting while another is boring and - out of place?
It does sort of make sense, if Kessler is another hallucination, He's serving as the devil on his shoulder convincing him to control or kill Ryan, where as Becca seems to be the angel on his shoulder who wants him to save Ryan. We have a dilemma folks, which side is going to win out??
That whole thing with Butcher kidnapping Sameer is ridiculous. Made no sense at all how he would be able to do any of that without anybody hearing anything.

Yeah it makes sense that Tek Knight and Sage would collaborate because he analyzes people pretty extensively as well.
"My Wee Hughie." 😭😭😭
How the hell did Butcher capture that guy and chop off his leg when they were all together lol
EXACTLY! They jumped the shark on that one.
I was thinking his friend kessler did it but I thought he was imaginary. So idk I guess maybe he is a real person
Thank you. I think butcher let kessler know what was going on when they took that break and he pulled up to help butcher out while everyone was distracted. Even that is still a bit iffy on the timing but still
My best guess was when they run out from the barn he knok him out then latter on chop his legs
Small detail, but he arrived a bit later outside than everyone else during the sheep incident.
i dont know why but the scene where A-train looks to sage in a "you see this shit?" kinda way only to realize she doesnt gaf was crazy to me.
Simon Pegg deserves to win an Emmy for this episode tbh, he was fantastic
I never expected The Boys of all shows to make me cry, but they did it. Simon Pegg was amazing this episode and the whole Campbell plotline this season just broke me this episode.
Easily my favourite part is Ryan really making his decisions and standing up for them and homelander really seeing how he can work with Ryan’s ideals properly
33:58
Yeah I saw someone else say this, and I can understand it so ill try say it again for them the best I can
The theory is, that when you are an adult and you are injected with comp.V , your superpower is based off your personality/trauma, Butcher gets laser vison/strength because of homelander, Hughie gets teleportation because in his eyes, his mother teleported out of his life.
That Neegan Fight Club Prediction Is Brilliant
Annie's temper keeps getting the better of her, which she obviously didn't learned from last episode.
Well it's understandable. She's raw right now after what Firecracker did. Everyone has their breaking point and She's finally reached hers. Which I'm guessing is why her powers are on the fritz. Her emotional state is messed up, much like nearly every other character in this series.
This episode left me crying, amazingly emotional. Also, I honestly think it's really nice Hughie named his cat Jar Jar.
You guys are definitely one of the best reaction channels ❤❤❤
Kimiko was right. '' Maybe your dad's supposed to die!'' Huey hangs on to people. If they just let Simon Pegg die those people at the hospital would still be alive.
Sincere sympathy to whoever had to cut this video, there was just too much awesome craziness to fit in the time allotted.
The butcher saw the death of the rabbit and the parasite leaving its body. Just remember that the compound v and the temporary, which can be more difficult due to their situation. and added that Kessler is a hallucination of his traumas that he makes him see!!!
Surge should really watch Alias since he brings up Lost so much.
Bugs me how those sheep fly better than Starlight’s first flight 😅
Chris reaction to the bull scene got me cryin😂
My boy Ryan finally embracing his super nature.
Hes basically going to become The punisher.
Or more accurately a batman who kills considering he has more of a sense of justice, so basically Ben Afflecks Batman but with 0.5% of Supermans powers.
I can tell you're a hometeamer😂
With the amount of tease Tom Hanks has been getting, he better do a cameo in this show!
Everyone is mad at Newman for suping her daughter, but everyone seems to forget she did it to protect her from Homelander.
Jack Quaid's acting was phenomenal in this episode.
14:25 Hmmm sounds like Navi knows what she's talking about. Navi be getting freaky!! It's always the ones you least expect it from. 😂😂
You didn’t expect Navi to be a freak? Lol. I’ve seen plenty of clues before.
Instead of brutally killing humans directly, which his son reacts negatively to, he's simply easing his son into mass murder by now exploiting his virtuousness in teaching him that 'As long as your intentions are good, forcing good people to do bad things to bad guys isn't in itself a bad thing.'
Imagine the chaos releasing a super-powered fourteen year old kid with that kind of mindset would cause on an international scale.
Agreed
That Mf is Not Real!! ... Feel Like Butcher is the only one who sees Kessler. 5 eps in and He has had 0 zero scenes with any other character🤣
I'm glad they didn't throw away the entire plot of Gen V down the drain with just one episode. Plus the scientist is Neuman's bf so leverage
yeah but didn't it seem silly to have cate there who could either touch him to make him tell the truth or even hear in his thoughts he had no idea and was innocent and A-train thinking im cooked. Or am i forgetting something from Gen V?
@@stormblessedkiwi8049 I believe she has to take off her gloves and touch the person to effectively push them and read their minds.
I completely didn't realise about Butcher imagining his friend until i saw the comments to this reaction.
23:51 “It’s time to put him to go” 😂 Pat thinks he’s takeout
22:42 poor mm man, they’ve been driving him crazy since season 1
My only complaint about the sheep is that they all had the exact same powers. What are the odds of that?
24:52 "noooo he could've made more virus"
Butcher: don't you worry luv
The whole sheep section reminded me of a horror comedy film called ''Black Sheep'' so much fun, lol.
Mann Simon Pegg is still so amazing.. his acting is stil genuine af
Blindspot was another low tier supe.
Never laughed, and cried, so much at a Boys episode. man
Suraj with the Zelda reference got me because I immediately flashed back to Ocarina of Time getting swarmed by cuccos
This show shows how scary super powers could be
I don’t get why Neuman wasn’t popping sheep heads tbh
Those things were moving crazy fast its not easy to get clear line of sight when that happens.
The reason the barn door was unlocked was because Butcher snuck out that way with Sameer. Thats how the sheep got in.
Thanks rana she's cute lol for coming back thats awesome! 👍🎉❤😂
Kessler started telling about how Butcher saved him on a mission. He probably didn't.
Chris head shines more than my future 😅
The writers of this show will not allow Hughie to be happy!
I think everyone is overlooking that Hughie’s dad’s forgetfulness/dementia is a very common result from a stroke in real life - it wasn’t a side-effect of the V. The V gave him Kitty Pryde powers and the dementia made it difficult for him to control those powers.
It's not a spoiler not unless you seen all the episodes. It's your thought/theory. I also agree with this theory.
The bunny is going to steal someone’s soul. Hey guys 👋🏻
I also feel like negan is just a hallucination, either its the infection or hes just going crazy
Possibly. I mean, the only time we've ever seen him is when he's with Butcher. He literally has an angel and a devil on his shoulder, likely caused by the now-superpowered tumor in his brain.
i didnt even think about it like that but his Tumor is probably using his memories to Influence Him
I think Butcher is going to figure out Kessler isn't real when Becca talks to him and Kessler tells him to ignore her
Fun fact : Firecracker is also KARA from the game Detroit become human .
11:31 Finally a reaction to "articulate" 😂😂
4:09 Maeve didn't die. Don't you remember the last episode in season 3? She was shown to be alive after the Soldier Boy explosion in CCTV camera and Ashley deleted the footage that showed it
The Jabberwockers (not sure if its spelled right) but they're from America's Best Dance Crew and that ended a long time ago 😄
At this point, the plot twist would be is Kessler is actually there for real 😆
How is one character having to come to terms with their past, in a season devoted to the concept, so interesting while another is boring and - out of place?
teleporting and having super speed is more similar powers instead of just being able to faze
It does sort of make sense, if Kessler is another hallucination, He's serving as the devil on his shoulder convincing him to control or kill Ryan, where as Becca seems to be the angel on his shoulder who wants him to save Ryan. We have a dilemma folks, which side is going to win out??
39:45 I'm glad I watched this after Ep6 bc I would've been spoiled dang!
That whole thing with Butcher kidnapping Sameer is ridiculous. Made no sense at all how he would be able to do any of that without anybody hearing anything.
I know Antony Starr is amazing as Homelander. But we gotta give some props to Ryan's actor too. Cause now hes starting to become more like Homelander 😳
Wait, I thought everyone knew that "Negan" was a hallucination?!?
Suraj is me. Everything relates to Lost.
Butcher is doing Fight club. Kessler is not real. Its just Butcher hallucinating. Because only Butcher interacts with Kessler. Not even Samir looked to the side where Kessler was standing. Samir was looking only at Butcher.
MM will be able to get Frenchie out of prison, but i expect he'll choose to stay.
