Switching heads was a very good call! I have seriously bowhunted since 1986 and have used traditional fixed heads (2,3,&4 blade), quality strong replacement blade heads (3&4 blade Thunderheads), but have never used an expandable head. I have used nothing but 2 blade Zwicky Deltas or Zwickey 2 blade No Mercy for the last 30 years. I use these heads with both my recurve and modern cam bows with heavy arrows. They always leave a large wound channel and get full penetration 99.9% of the time for a great blood trail. Bowhunting is about good shot placement....A good strong cut on contact broadhead does help if you hit any kind of bone. I hunt public lands in the Florida Big Bend area and these heads slice right through both sides of a large boars protective shield with no problem. The cut on contact heads will always out penetrate and never fail. Another plus is that you can resharpen them to a scalpel like edge. I always want an exit hole for blood on the ground tracking purposes! My 2 cents! Gotta go touch up my broadheads! Good hunting!
