Thanks for including the stereo speakers test. It matters a lot, though most reviewers don't grant it the attention it deserves. High-quality sound compliments good media.
You are always first on everything. LOL Thanks for sharing all these. Needed it badly as I just pre-ordered mine.
Not normally, normally I'm very late but this time got a unit early.
Chris! Thank you for posting.
Dear Note 9 we have been together for almost five years & you been good to me. We traveled around the world multiple times. We close many deals together and because of you I was able to stay in contact with many new friends and family from around the world. Did many video calls and got closer to people emotionally because of you. You were definitely there when I needed you the most. Time to upgrade to S24 Ultra. Will miss you. ♥🙏♥🙏
Good one. 😂
I have note 9 as well. I see no reason to update yet. The best phone samsung has ever created.
@@constellation982Maybe the S10+ was also a contender for besr Samsung phone but yeah, if Samsung still innovated and had such awesome hardware like they did back then (like variable aperture!!!) then I'd have loved them still, Vivo and Oneplus have improved massively and Oppo's on a different level now
Was surprised by the improvements to screen, that reflect on s24u was improved vastly
Vastly 🤣🤣
Are you speaking from personal experience?

i'm much happier now that the screen is flat curved screens are a pain with getting a protector to stay on mine kept falling off...
Awesome review with true pros and cons at the end. Thanks Chris!
My go to review for this devices. Great job as usual

How do you think he got the phone lol.

Great review as always 👌🏼
I'm in the States & couldn't pass up the $800 for my mint 512g S22 Ultra.
I've been waiting on that Flat Display since the Note 10+.
I cannot stand when I try to cut out a photo that's close to the edge & my phone goes back to the previous page!
I've ran across this so many times with this curved display, which is great for watching vids & stuff but the 512g S24 Ultra will do me just fine for years to come. Nice review! From TX 🤟
Same page but I still prefer the sd card slot coming from samsung galaxy note 20 ultra I need to have 6 months just get get the s24 ultra with my shitty centeelink and minium wage job.
Excellent review, thank you.
Is the text translation and AI generative parts only on Samsung messages or does Google messages have it too?
very nice and concise review mate! btw really missed New Zealand so much..I hope one day I can come back here
Very sensible review video. All important things covered without too much stress on AI and cameras.
Really enjoyed your video buddy, Birmingham UK 🇬🇧 keep it up 👍🏻
Nice up mate! Waiting for your Honor Magic 6 Pro review! Keep it up
Thanks - great review and I need to have it :)
Sir... does 50mp periscope have "dual pixel pdaf" or only "pdaf"? Looking forward to your reply.
Awesome review and First impressions as Chris Sir
Bro you work is the best among all the youtubers. Youre honest. Period.
Greetings, Jose from Puerto Rico, I am a new subscriber. Yes, I will be upgrading from my S23 Ultra. One of the main reasons is the flat screen. I've been carrying my S23 Ultra without any screen protection, due to the fact that I couldn't find adequate screen protectors because of the curved edges. Now that this new model comes with a flat screen, that won't be a problem. That might not be something noteworthy for some, but for me, it's a plus. Having said that, I've read some negative comments on different forums that this new phone hasn't changed much from the S23 Ultra and has glitches not found on the S23 Ultra. But I feel this will be addressed with software and firmware upgrades in the future. Let's not forget that the S23 has had many upgrades in the past year. I read similar comments before when the S23 came out and was compared to the S22 Ultra, but eventually subsided when newer software upgrades addressed the glitches and bugs that come in every new phone. It is a natter if time, and we have to be patient; down the road all these issues will eventually be tackled. I love the fact the Samsung when head on with the A.I. which has some bugs, but like I said, as time goes by it will only improve.
Good quality content, as always! Here in Brazil, It comes with a 25w charger.
Thanks to Brazil's consumer protection laws by requiring a charger in the device's packaging.
@aexetan2769 wish canadw would do that!
It's rare, but once in a while Brazil does something good for the Brazilians.
Australia has the greenest laws that gov gets money from high taxes the phones cost your kidneys and your left testicle
Perfect vid. Thx.
Is the two sim card available in the US version as well?
hi. do you know if it has a built in DAC? cheers in advance.
do you have the exynos s24 in for review as well?
Thanks I needed this info, I’m finally making the change from iPhone to galaxy, I just preorder the s24 ultra and can’t wait to see the results in person.
The one downgrade from current iPhones is video. All the S24u video samples scream out that it was shot on a phone.
Thanks for the level-headed look at the device compared to all the hype out there, really appreciate your channel for that.
Very good review Chris I hope you will also review s24+
Is it true that you can't remove that onscreen bottom line when using gestures?
Hey TechTables, Will you make a review of Oppo Find X7 Ultra? Great video!
Do I still have to switch it down to 12MP when changing camera modules?
Is tracking AF still missing in 50MP mode?
Is there still not human/animal eye detect AF?
From my experience I'm changing the SXX ultra series every 2-3 years because there are no so much changes every year. After some time you get a software update on your old SXX Ultra and you can enjoy all the new features from the new SXX Ultra
I swapped my 23 ultra for the 24 ultra, I love the fact it has a flat screen now. Battery life of any phone does get better over the first couple of weeks while it's learning your usage. I'm not bothered by fast charging, I've got the 25 w charger, and it's more than fast enough.
How's the AI feature?
@@IAm-Moses I played around with it in the shop, moving a person in the gallery, works really well. Mines coming on the 24th
@@sparx2391 copy.
Glad you still mention 3.5mm jack and sd card slot. Samsung still includes them in the midrange devices but not in the most expensive ones which are supposed to include more features than the "cheap" ones
As an Android user in Korea, I always refer to your reviews when making product choices.
It was very helpful in purchasing Galaxy S series. Thank you for the good content. ^^
Is it true that Apple phones are now kinda "hip" to go against your company Samsung? Just curious of the percentage of users that use Apple vs Samsung now compared to just 5 years ago. Anyways, I'm rambling. Take care. ✌️
That flat panel is a real deal for me. Love to see Samsung is going in right direction. Btw quality of front/rear camera really impresses
Waiting for your ROG 8 Pro review. Keep it up!
Thank you!
please bring camera comparison between s24ultra and vivo x100 pro
Do you know if voice typing has improved at all?
Please can you tell us about the face recognition is it still not secure as s23 ultra ? You can unlock the s23 by using a photo
Another solid review Chris, can't justify the price of this phone even with the Sammy trade in deals in $NZ.
Is the corner of the Ultra version uncomfortable in your palm, especially when using it with one hand?
In regards to the speakers, I've found that they're richer and a little bit louder. Other reviewers seem to be agreeing. Always a welcome improvement.
Thank you 👍
why there was no information about pwm?
Awesome as always. Is there any chance you put screen protector and give us an update if reflection get worst? I wanna know if anti reflection works with screen protectors? Thanks in advance
Hi, it's worth noting that with a protector it's worse off so you really need to use no screen protector.
Please test the Exynos 2400 version on the S24/S24+ if you can. It seems that the Exynos 2400 is outperforming the S24U's 8 Gen 3 in gaming and in the various benchmarks as well when it comes to stability and efficiency
But battery life is a joke!
The Exynos 2400 is surprising many in how it is actually outperforming the 8Gen3 in many key areas. To anyone with inside knowledge however, this is no big surprise. Samsung have deliberately been low key with the 2400 to prevent a potential sales hit for the 24 Ultra.
So, I have a basic,Galaxy A50 at the moment and I'm thinking of upgrading. Do you reckon I directly opt for the S24 Ultra or just settle with the S23 Ultra? I also feel that S23 Ultra was already pricey, so this one, no doubt is the pricier of the two... considering this, should I opt for the S24 Ultra or the S23 Ultra?
How about shutter speed?
THE DISPLAY IS ON NEXT LEVEL!!!!!!!!
I am really interested in knowing which phone you use as your daily driver, Chris. This is considering how many phones you have reviewed on this channel. Well done!
My daily is the S23 Ultra 512GB and has been since I bought it from release day. I will hang onto it for now until with get some camera updates with the S24U It's just in dire need of some improvements. My second phone right now is the Vivo X100 Pro which has some of the best cameras around. But video is not as good as my S23U. And I love using my S-Pen.
What's the haptic motor like?
ANY NATIVE CALL RECODING WITHOUT voice notification that call is being recorded? Like on xiomy,Huawei....
Do tempered glass screen protectors work with the fingerprint sensor? Is it worth upgrading from the S22 Ultra you think?
It will be a good leap forward. You'll notice a significant improvement in both camera and video.
I have s23U 512. Shall I upgrade it to s24u or wait for s25 till next year?
How much better do you expect the Antutu scores to get with software updates etc? Kia ora Aotearoa
you can expect a little down coz the chip is heating high while even it is already throttled the 8gen3 performance
so why is there no price diff btw the s24 u and s23 u ?????
Which one has a bigger screen?
Dat display is smth else 🔥🔥🔥
Good review. I’m coming from a standard S21 and this is going to be my first time using an “Ultra” so this is going to be a bigger upgrade for me compared to someone coming from an S23 Ultra. About the fast charging, if your intention is to keep this phone for longer than 3 years, like I likely will, knowing it will support 7 major OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates, I wouldn’t worry about it. Extremely rapid charging will just accelerate wear on the batteries.
will he get 7 years of android updates or just security patches?
@@007_unknown_user Both. Google has been releasing yearly major OS upgrades since 2011. By that logic, the S24 will get all yearly major OS upgrades, as well as monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly security updates, for 7 years.
I was about to buy s23u today and then I have tried s24u. I did not expected that almost flat screen and more "rectangular" shape on s24u will make such a big difference for me....
Then go ahead an waste your hard earned money. With all due respect.
@@neilmcguinness4422 Its all about preferences. Every phone over 1.000 is waste of money...
Its not a waste, Samsung phones are great. I have a fold 5 which is almost a waste but i got it for a deal.@@neilmcguinness4422

@@fzr1000981 You'll probably get a better trade in a few months
Just hold this at retail store yesterday and damn the corners are sharp.
What setup do I need to achieve better results with my S24 Ultra? When capturing photos of moving objects, I've noticed they often turn out blurry. How can I address this?
You can't really, only to to have the best lighting possible otherwise we need a firmware update from them.
I have a fold 5 and s23 ultra and go back and forth between them. Love the 23 ultra, especially the zoom on it so im very skeptical of the 24 ultra with the downgrade to 5x (yes i know the sensor is better). I pre ordered one anyway and will see how it goes
FANTASTIC REVIEW, Thanks! Quick Q, does the S24 display look more like a matte finish vs glossy of the S23? I'm just wondering if it has a hazy look like desktop anti-glare coatings. Thanks again!
No it's crystal clear the best display I've seen.
Thanks for the super quick reply and letting me know (I prefer clear/glossy over matte/AG,) I greatly appreciate it, subscribed! @@Techtablets
just got mine from tmobile. colors are washed out. looks as crappy as the motorola xoom tablet i had. natural/vivid color setting does nothing. looks like the s24+ and s24 having the same issue, and since the display glass is different, it cant be that, must be a bug. as it is right now, looks washed out / really bad. the display overall is nice, so much for the anti reflective when you add on a glass cover, lol. But they have to fix the color wash out, it looks terrible. Red looks the worst, looks like a washed out fuschia. @@Techtablets

Hi Chris i very much like your video of S24 ultra great review and attention to detail. Love your style. Can you do detail comparison of S24 ultra and iQOO 12? Thanks from Philippines ❤
Hi, I might do a comparison with the X100 Pro or Find X7 Ultra.
Thank you for yet another great and honest review Chris!
It's great to know that Samsung has provided their users with the option to permanently hide that disgusting hole in the screen.
And the 1TB version is currently on par with what smartphones with MicroSD support can offer, as the 1.5/2 TB cards are still a rarity.
However I'd say that for me this is still a worse offer than Sony's Xperia 1V that has a dedicated camera button - and you can make a quick photo without even taking your winter gloves off :)
I honestly didn't even realise i had a hole on my s23 until you just mentioned it and ive had 5he phone a year, you dont see it
Wait, you're talking about the selfie camera?
@@danniel7480 Yes, that disgusting hole in the screen for the selfie cam. I want my screen space pristine.
@xlati0n still better than iphones traffic island. You want a screen with no hole punch than a nubia is up your alley.
If you're from the S10, Note 10, A52 and A72 series & earlier, then go for it. For S20 & Note 20 series, perhaps once the last security patches for both phones will be updated this year. For S21 & S22 series, better wait till 2/3 years later unless you're not a fan of Exynos chipsets.
I still have the S20+ (Snapdragon version) and it is still quite a capable device, especially with 12GB of RAM and the last One UI 5.1 update for it. I can still continue to use it for years.
Yeah, was gonna buy a new phone after three years but a UA-cam commenter mentioned there are security updates waiting to be pushed on my current one so I'm just gonna hold off to experience that.

I have been using the S23 Ultra, Iphone 15 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro for the past few months and been comparing the Ultra Wide Shots.
I can say the Pixel 8 Pro still has the best results, it's clearer, sharper and best in low light situation. Pixel 8 pro Video Boost is excellent, definitely works and not a gimmick. Been looking at review of the S24 ultra's ultra wide quality, i think I might be disappointed! I was hoping you could confirm it. Thank you in advance.
Really impressed with the smoothness of the lens transition of all cameras.
We appreciate your recipes. Keep working hard.
Should we talk about, that u wrote "Techtables"? :D
why are the score this lower ? :/ all other gen 3 are close to 2M
Almost 2 million. Just 2-3 years ago we arrived at 1 million. 5 years ago we got 100-200k.
With that much power, we should be using our phones as work or productivity PC.
But mostly phones are just toys.
Nice
Dunno about the S24U but I have the S23U and between the weight and glossy finish I found it always slipping and sliding and the first thing I did was put it in a Speck case. If you're also someone who will use a case of some sort, the material of the phone is of course essentially irrelevant.
What game was in the video? Really interested playing it haha
Genshin impact. Also on PC and PS5

Is the phone lighter
I did the upgrade, due to the trade codes and bouns codes, out of pocker $958 AUD with trade in. But got case, Bud pro 2, charger and more in that price. S24 Ultra 1TB Black.
It was weird that the more you zoomed in the more wind noise you could hear. Hopefully it's just their audio zoom feature that can be turned off in the setting
It was that I should have turned off audio zoom.
It would be interesting to know how the phone hears. Does it record well.. most times I am at a concert, the sound is crap. How about they start coming out with recording sound in HD sound.
Can you talk about the American version of the ultra 24
my dear brother, do you advise me to buy the S23 ultra or S24 ultra 🙏🏻
How are the haptics? My S22 Ultra used to have crappy haptics compared to my iPhone.
The circle search could be useful in shopping tool if one can circle search for cheapest price quickly. One could do it now, but it takes more effort.

The Pixel 8 Pro gets this a few days before the S24U is released. It is a Google AI feature Samsung is paying for.

I sold my S23U because of camera problems. Shutter lag mostly. I can deal with oversaturated pics, but blurry and unusable mess I got (just like with any Samsung I used in previous 7 years) when taking pictures of moving subjects is big NO for me. And I know a lot of people who gave up on Samsung devices because of terrible camera software.
S24U has shutter lag, too. Vibration motor is the same (extremely weak, unusable). Just out of curiosity, how is that "refined" ?
The uniform bezels 🤩
