Fun fact about dying at the same time: in Russian fairytales (like about a prince and princess who fall in love), the stories often end "and they lived happily ever after and both died on the same day." There is something romantic about not wanting to be without your loved one.

You the best SmoothTurtle.
Thank you sooo much
A year on, and you are still greatly appreciated for this!
Fun fact: Ethiopia is the only African country that was never successfully colonized. They fought off both the British and the Italians.
“They never got Ethiopia”
Liberia was also never colonized
No, they won the first the time against Italy but then they lost the 2nd war
And they're doing amazingly well
@@moodbreaker7558 Liberia doesn’t count because it was under American control
The first 35 minutes is just kat and jeremy power coupling against everyone else
Sous vide means under vacuum(and then cooked in said vacuum). Meace en place means “everything in place” so courtilly’s guess was dead on and sous chef in that particular means under chef (or the second in command) so sous means under
I also take it that allez cuisine is fast food
@@TheAlmightyToaster01 nope it’s a battle cry like “Let’s do this” didn’t know it before but looked it up
Isn't "mise en place" "putting in place," since "mise" is a past participle of "mettre," unless there's an idiomatic use of "mise" I'm not familiar with?
@@M_M_ODonnell ah more than likely yes. I’m not French and my teacher wasn’t either so it’s a few levels of telephone away
@@M_M_ODonnell You are completely correct.
27:13 "Guys, we can all live!" - The last thing you hear before Chilled stabs you in the back.
Chilled: Hates phasmophobia and getting scared stupid ....
Also Chilled: LeTs CoNtAcT tHe DeViL on the luigi board!!!!
Well Satan is honestly really chill. Ghosts aren't.
@@zenora84 How do you know this?
@@Yourfriendlyghostpal Well, "Dante's Inferno" portrays Satan as being in a frozen lake at the lowest ring of hell, so he could be referencing that.
@@EndanDrachon Nah, I just thing he's a cool dude. Fun to drink with.
For the wheel of death in Trivia Murder Party, if the odds are actually as represented on the wheel, there is a 1/6 (16.666666…) chance of surviving because there are 36 gaps in between pegs, and 6 of those say ‘Life’.
16.666666% is actually not exact as a percent. It'd be 16⅔%, but I agree that 1/6 is the best way to put it in terms of probability.
@@copocopocopocopo Well, with a lack of a ‘repeating bar’ (don’t remember the term for it, the line you put over the first 6 after the decimal to show it’s an infinite series of 6’s) I opted for a lot of sixes and ellipses.
@@aqwkingchampion13 Hehehe. Yeah. Look, I'm not meaning to insinuate you're wrong or anything like that. It's just I'm a mathematician at heart, and, you know us, we're lazy. We prefer to keep it exact! That's why I said keeping it as ⅙ is definitely the way to go, especially because it's more accurate probability wise. (1 out of every 6), the same exact situation as with those problems you see in software gore videos where they answer -0.5 for the slope, but the program says they're incorrect, it's actually -1/2 (-1/2 shows the relation, -0.5 does not). And, it looks like that term is simply a bar, it's bar notation. Yeah, again, mathematicians are naturally lazy, so they use it to show it repeats without end.
@@copocopocopocopo Fair enough. I like math, but I’m pretty sure I’m too lazy to be a mathematician lol
@@copocopocopocopo Don't you lie. You wanted to 1-up someone on the Internet. He put elipses as an obvious replacement of the repeating bar.
Hearing Gavin calling someone a billy bookcase just reminds me of the wonderful phrase of billy nomates
that's a song by a hardcore band also, knocked loose, i think.
Who’s gavin?
“Billy should stand for something in Dutch right?”
IKEA is a Swedish company… 😅😂
Also, Billy is literally just a name. Shelves and some other furniture are just... human names. Other products are named after cities and Swedish verbs etc.
they are VERY American in how they speak, I broke down when they said that ahahha (Norwegian)
"I've cooked before" ChilledChaos
You forgot to add 2022 to that.
@@matthewelliott7294 no, I didn't
Ah yes, Chilled the Tall Kid. Totally not the guy who smooth talks everyone when he does stuff. Nope, no silver tongue... just height.
"Listen, you don't know what goes down in church parking lots. Like, that's a great place..umm..at nights!" Did not expect that from Courtilly. Matt, maybe. lol
I like seeing Chilled and Platy guess play with these Brainiacs. Just seeing them hang on brings me joy.
the copper and tin question made me laugh as i too learned via gaming what the answer was (yay for runescape lol)
Not as many people are big fans of the first Doctor because he was the Doctor in the sixties. Most people who watch the show now never watched anything from then. It's hard to find, and a lot of it was straight up destroyed years ago, because reruns and home video didn't even exist yet.
I’m honestly surprised 9 was popular enough to tie with 4, I never see anyone talk about him.
@@AshtonMonitor 9's biggest disadvantage in terms of popularity is only going for one series, but being the first Doctor of the revival, thus the first Doctor for many fans, helps tremendously. 4 is more popular mostly with older fans, and has decades of inertia. I think more broadly 4 would tend to rank higher, but the results are skewed by the audience here generally being younger.
Fun fact, My senior year we hired a mariachi band to follow the dean of discipline around to annoy the crap out of him for the whole day. worked like a charm
Now that D&D is mainstream, goblins are regularly considered to be equally as small as gnomes but more frail. Leprechauns are actually the biggest of the 3.
Did anyone notice how at 10:52, "Japanese yen" is misspelled???
I din't know whet yoe're telking eboet
@@YoruKurotsuki you should've replaced all a's with e's in that. That would've been cheeky.
"you know if youre talking to a salmon it hasnt fucked" i fucking cackled but no one noticed. good 1 matt
Capaldi is my favorite doctor; fun, sarcastic, cutting, and the confidence of someone who thought he was going to die a long time ago. Also, guitar-self-doom-tour.
Absolutely love when you guys play trivia murder party, and first class trouble thanks for making my week so far
I can't believe Matt said Chimera is a dog that says Edward. why must he remind us about FullMetal Alchemist
I like how chilled caught up in the near end, but Kat won.
It’s so funny that the 2 elements in salt r hazardous alone but together make normal table salt
Electrolytes: It's what plants crave!
It's what's in Brawndo!
When I heard Jeremy say “Boromir?” My heart dropped. He and Chilled strike me as Lord of the Rings fans.
The fact about Jeremy is that he has never seen any movie ever.
"what do you get when you mix tin and copper?" aka "have you ever played a game with smithing?"
or do you have any knowledge of human history
Or just had basic knowledge of chemistry, given that Bronze and steel were the only alloys, and almost everyone knows steel at least has iron in it.
My mind went straight to the original Runescape.
"Shut that baby up" I laughed so hard my water spewed out of my nose
33:50 Ties *aren't* broken by speed, it's broken by whoever is closer to the living player. Since Chilled had the body and was at the bottom, Kat was in the middle, and Court was near the top, Kat got the body.
I really hope months later Chilled reveals he actually never played Elden Ring at all by some accidental slip, it would be the longest ruse.
Friggin Matt "Actually Jeremy, a chimera is a dog that says Edward."
So, for trivia murder party, in the last round, it gives preference to the closest person to the living player. So in game 2, coutilly lost since she was further from chilled. If the distances to the living player happen to be the same, THEN the game will take priority to the topmost player. Answer time has nothing to do with it.
oh bless. 2 hours of jackbox, thank you 🙏 I was just trying to figure out what to use as background noise tonight.
Audience has an unfair advantage though, if the majority of people pick their own second and third answers then they will automatically be correct. (Or really whatever place they're trying to guess for the round)
Platy as a cult leader works so well, terribly charismatic and a bit.... out there lmao
Fun fact: berry b Benson from the bee movie his mom has a beehive haircut as per mentioned 1:46:20 roughly and it is a horrible looking cut
Also 2:20:15 tilly picked seahorse chilled picked "large bass mouth " bruh
I love these longplays. Never stop making these.
Was in 2nd year college when 13 Reasons Why came out. It was a tough year for my fellow pre-med classmates and I but watching the season 1 fucked many of us so bad that many students (including myself) had a leave of absence. Our mental health dropped so I understand why it would be challenged or banned.
Absolutely. There are standards in media regarding how to portray s*icide in a way that wont trigger those thoughts in other people. 13 Reasons Why broke every single one, on top of severely misrepresenting what depression looks like and perpetuating the stigma surrounding depression. It's pretty much a textbook example of "How to represent mental health problems in as poor a way as possible."
Dinner and a nearly two and half hour show of awesome. It's going to be a good night!
Thank you for the awesome entertainment. I know you get plenty of these but my wife and I love watching these videos together. Keep up the awesome work
The short little Elden Ring conversation at the beginning made me happy
The laugh I let out when chilled said "because I cook" scared my cat awake
1 minute in and i already know these are gonna be some nice games!
Figure Skating jumps
Me:*bursting with joy* LUTZ AND AXEL YURI KATSUKI TAUGHT ME WELL
same
Just got home and I'm so ready for this.
15:33 technically this question is wrong as reptiles brumate rather than hibernate
Hasbro selling Ouija boards kinda takes the creepy factor out of it.
Vitamin K does a lot more than that!!
Edit: On second thought, the NaCl question and the ATROCIOUS 'molecules' in the second game took the cake in driving me nuts!
The mariachi thing just happened to me yesterday, we were annoyed because they didn't know how to play their instruments
the popping back thing is funny cuz when i crack my back, it sounds like i grabbed a handful of those 4th of july popper things and threw them on the ground
Lol did chilled put russell t davies the doctor who show runner as a prime minister
The perfect video for 4/20. Thank you :)
To everyone who played Poll Mine here: a Chimera is literally just a creature made up of several other creatures. Doesn't matter what animals, how many heads, etc, it's just an amalgamation of living things.
The sending food back thing... I never used to be the person who'd send stuff back, but would let staff know. After I developed food allergies though I had to break the habit for my own safety.
I love how even the Trivia Murder Party announcer was confused.
44:46 Peanuts debuted in 1950, and "Samantha" wasn't a popular name for girls until the 1960s, thanks to the TV show Bewitched.
Every time they play with Platy he manages to reach new levels of displaying lack of knowledge... amazing :D
I just said something that sounds awful out of context "I want to see a baby in a beehive"
50:20 I got you, Chilled.
For the movie question I always look into them a lot beforehand or I just sit through it cause popcorn is amazing
I've only walked out of 2 movies ever, the live action movies or The Last Airbender after probably 30 minutes and Dragonball Evolution.
Ouija boards are literally a toy made by hasbro, it is a child’s toy to contact spirits. Before them there was a Japanese game done with an alphabet on a piece of paper, a coin(yen has the hole in the middle)and a red gate drawing. Go cheap with the authentic game
Bruh not me thinking of Pizza Hut and then Max putting that as his answer XD
during the last bit, jeremy says bullet ants are the most painful insect, i'm pretty sure the one guy who did like, climbed the pain index, said some kind of wasp, executioner wasp? was most painful. but. just that guy. so. eh.
I love how everyone has a Billy bookcase XD we also have one of those
If I’m watching a bad movie at the theater I’m gonna fall asleep 😂
fun fact: that breaking bad scene of Walt and Skylar in the parking lot was at my high school in front of the science building. And they filmed an episode in my house
It took me awhile to remember In Search of Lost Time. I ain't read it, for good reason, but I know about it. IIRC, it's one of the longest literary works ever written. One novel across 7 volumes for 4000 pages and 1.3 million words.
Oh, and Vitamin R is a street name for ritalin. I know that because of the Chevelle song
Man, what a lineup here.
The only times I have ever sent back food was food I couldn’t eat. I have kept underdone food and cooked it at home, but I am lactose intolerant and unable to eat mayonnaise, so if I asked for no butter or mayo and I got it anyway, I send it back. But only if I asked.
People arguing absolutely belongs up there, especially if you live in an apartment below them and they do it every single day it's exhausting.
So actually back in Italy, they had a really bad stray cat problem, so you actually would have cat gut used in very old violins that’s where the term comes from
Trivia Murder Party never gets old, but I do like Role Models quite a bit.
Kat and Jeremy kill Matt jr Matt senior "MY BOI THATS MY BOI!" XD
I ordered from a drive thru window on foot multiple times during covid. I walked to work at 5am, tim hortons knew me and still gave me my order
Agreed, not even with Covid. There's more than a few times working graveyard shift where I would get off work and the main store part of nearby drivethru places would still be closed but they are 24 hour drivethru. I've walked through the Drivethru a few times like that to get food since anything else in walking distance is closed, except for maybe Gas Stations but then it's a question of what ranks lower: Gas station food or fast food? I'd say Gas station food is lower, unless maybe doing junk food like Chips and pop and chocolate bars.
Jeremy: actually, the chimera is the dog that says edward
aaaand thats the best quote of the night
Thirteen Reasons Why is a book and as a book, it is pretty good, as it is walking you through the mindset of a girl that committed suicide and ends with Clay reaching out to a friend he thinks is showing similar signs of being suicidal. It links up these awful events and shows how having such a godawful time and having an adult brush you off, could make someone decide their life isn't worth living.
The show though, missed the point entirely, so it was controversial due to seeming to romanticise suicide and people argue the book does as well, but I disagree with that. Also, some of the changes between them were unnecessary and solely for 'TV drama' that wasn't needed. The story of the book was dark enough as it was and didn't need any more drama. There is a reason why people liked the first season which was still fairly close to the book at least, and HATED seasons 2, 3 and 4.
Darn when it comes to what noise I hate waking up to it’s a lawn mower 😂
11:47 They do know that Sauron and Saruman are different characters both in LOTR, right?
If I remember correctly, I think it’s actually typical for your dominant eye to be the opposite of your dominant hand.
First thing that came to my mind at 12:19 was "they never got ethiopia~"
1:26:05 The only movie I remember ever walking out of was The Last Exorcism (2010), and it was so bad EVERYONE in the crowd loudly booed.
So it might be a bit random, but am I the only one finding Chilled's videos on the quieter side of spectrum as far as UA-cam goes? I constantly find myself needing to up the volume a bit from the usual
Yeah same. It doesn't bother me at all, but his videos are consistently quieter than everyone else I watch.
I'm glad I was one of the 5 people the nibiru joke was for lmao
Chilled saying he hasn't seen braveheart was painful ngl lol
As someone that goes to sleep to music, usually dubstep/edm etc and what other would consider obnoxious music i knew it wouldn't be it lol
The golden girls question hurt me
51:30 guys im tallest kid - Jeremy 52:45 Matt chose CHILLED for "elected official" 53:21 "i see you with a crown actually" "you do actually... normally when i play Mario Party" 53:40 "Joke boat has used all the Sea Puns" FULL TRANSPARENCY!!!! 54:24 "i didnt get anything , i was the Captain for sure!" 55:00 would they ACTUALLY put sociopathhic? 55:55 the muscle , this little guy thats pissed 57:20 dont wanna discuss just see what you end up doing 59:02 interpretive writing 1:00:23 what goes down in church parking lots-metth 1:00:54 another interpretive writing 1:01:33 Mute "this is for you chat for givving me this answer" 1:03:30 cant wait to see Matts description 1:04:15 "hope i spelled that right" "does it include leavbing?" "it does incrude leavbing" 1:07:29 across the board 1:08:40 interpretive writing , and "matts Spooky AND Pookie?" 1:10:38 common trait 1:14:34 oh so what she make... oh she didnt do it
Chilled... "It's the contractions" ? Never isn't a contraction... XD
With the winking thing: I sometimes do this weird thing where I inadvertently wink, using my right eye. To explain, it’s pretty much a sensation where only my right eye blinks.
I physically can't wink with my left eye because I can't close just my left eye
**whispers** _”They didn’t get Ethiopia”_
Also: I took figure skating classes prior to high-school (>22 years ago), and I thought star jumps were a thing…
Chilled chaos looks like a little boy when drinking his jug of water
I REALLY want some good tater tots now. Tater tots with a bit of lemon on them are GREAT.
Hey, this is good timing
For the question of the British colonies, when I see Ethiopia, I think straight back to the video ‘history of the world I guess’ of the part when the Europeans colonised Africa and the narrator whispers “they forgot Ethiopia”
1:29:53 to be fair I have heard their trumpets before, very VERY loud I must say. I once had a neighbour that would have a mariachi band come over almost EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT.
1:31:55 my dominant winking eye is both. But I use them for different purposes. Left eye winking is me lying, right eye winking is for…well special occasions💋
10:10 the broccoli in combination with room 420 is for germans actually very funny because a german politician once compared weed to broccoli and since then it has become a synonym for it. Anthony would have definitly goten my point.
The airplane amenities answer being "comfy clothes" in top 3. Shows the game/people are stupid. The amenities would be stuff they give you. Unless im stupid ive never heard of airlines giving/loaning clothes for a flight to be more comfortable
2 hours 20 min jackbox video 😩🙌 jackpot
Courtilly asking who likes dubstep music hurt me in my heart lol
