Helping us to let go of past hurts and the pain that they have caused us. It's only by looking at what Jesus endured on that cross by people who hated Him, and yet Jesus forgave everyone who hurt Him so severely, that is the example that we who are His children must follow no matter the offence we must let go and love Jesus more than our own lives.
