I love these. Our mentors seem to be deathly afraid of fabrication, or using any material other than 80/20 or aluminum, and maybe plywood to mount the circuitry. Conveniently, this year i designed it, and i only have one thing to say, elevator. Good luck.

All of those gears must have cost a fortune at AndyMark.

Are there any resources available on this? Im looking into implementing something similar for our team but on a smaller scale. And maybe with an elevator.

I don't think money comes into play in this case. Probably mentors, but even then it's probably not built by them

More than money, this team has passion. All the money in the world won't help if the people involved are not passionate about the goal of teaching and learning robotics. To small teams like mine (5503), they seem to have more funds, but remember that this team is much more mature than we are, and they have built and built to make it what it is. Very inspiring group, and FRC is fortunate to have them around.

EZRACER What team? What do you need help with? The resources are out there if you truly have the passion.

you guys don't realize how lucky you are our team had $300 dollars to build the robot and 8 days because the kit took so long to arrive.

"we're not mentor built" 💀💀 no hate, just saying, at my team, a mentor would never be running driver practice, only the drive coach, who's always a student. In fact, all leadership on the team is done by students, leading to a far more rewarding experience
