- Hello Everyone......it's finally here the very first episode of Biscuits of Britain! It's come a long way from the video where I came up with the idea to actually planning and recording the video. I have to admit I really enjoyed filming this video and I cannot wait to record more for the series!

I really liked how you set up the tea and biscuit so gently in the beginning, and then just aggressively started dunking the biscuit. I laughed, lol.
Had to be done......I mean who delicately dunks and eats biscuits.....I can wolf my way through half a packet in 5 minutes!
just with less eggs!
Hahahahahaha! Omg that intro I love it and a decent colour tea too @ASMRAngel
You've literally helped me to relax and fall asleep during a lot of stress and depression for the last 2 years. Like I totally feel that I ow you something, thank you so much for these vids!
Hopefully you're in a much better place now Thomas
That introduction was amazing.
At first I was impressed with your graceful preparation, the classical music, it was all so fancy. Then suddenly, dunking the biscuit like no tomorrow. Pure hilarity! 😆
I look forward to watching more of these.
Hello. I'm currently starting the full Biscuits of Britain series after stumbling upon one of the episodes at random. When you mentioned that Americans ask what kind of tea you drink, I realized I was wondering the same thing (being American) and decided to research tea in Britain. I didn't realize until now that all teas come from the same plant. I fear this is an embarrassing fact to have learned after the age of 30, but I suppose many people may not know it or have ever taken the time to wonder. Either way, thank you for producing such lovely videos. I look forward to this series and more.
I love this! You're funny too!! :D i'm looking forward to more videos from this series!
Thanks for the video! I was taken aback by your beauty when the intro was over. Wow haha.
Your "Lotus" biscuits are for the north of France, Belgium and Germany, here we call them Speculoos and they are best dumped into coffee (I don't like coffee but I'll take some just for the speculoos ^^). I love your Biscuits of Bitain serie !! Love tea, love yur voice and your seriousness/sillyness in the scoring ^^
I loved this video! Britain is awesome from my sight point. :)
This is my new favorite ASMR video. I had not seen any of your videos before, and within the first minute of this one I subscribed to your channel :-D Just wanted to say thank you for this and I can't wait to see the other videos in this series (and your channel in general).
Thank you fattommy89 ໒(⁄◕‿◕∖✿)७
Ooooh it was like a crispy crunch! Ooh tingles!!!
I'm American, and I love tea. =) I will often sweeten my tea with raw honey or locally obtained maple syrup, but never refined sugar. I like fig bars or biscotti. Of course, Italians call any type of cookie "biscotti", but I am referring to the actual 'Americanized' hard cookie slivers in a variety of flavors. Making your own can be fun, too! Oh, almost forgot GINGER SNAPS. Oh, man. I love molasses.
This series is brilliant. Such a clever idea and perfectly executed. Enjoy these so much.
Hahaha! Watching this, I've never felt so American. I gotta start drinking tea like this. Love this video!
Let me know if you ever get used to the milk
I love seeing your excitement for eating biscuits! Your enthusiasm is admirable.
I take it very seriously!
Enjoyed the comparison. This is a very interesting video and series. ~Phil
So this is happening! I'm over the moon right now! Cannot wait for the next episodes. Thank you so much! xx
You and me both, it means I get to eat loads more biscuits!!
The crunch was amazing! The sounds in this video were so nice and the biscuits looked so yummy!
My resting pulse went Down to 30 beats a minute! A bineural Wonder this is. Well done Angel and thanks!
Thanks ***** (﹒︠ᴗ﹒︡✿)
So so glad this series finally got her! Amazing video as usual charlotte! Great sounds! Great video! Can't wait for next episode! Thanks! 😃Xx
Hilarious and informative
Not to mention relaxing
Very enjoyable Charlotte
Excited to see the next one
you dunked the shit out of that cookie in the beginning.
No doubt, made me feel uncomfortable.
glen donnell don't worry no biscuits were hurt in the making of this......except maybe the one I dunked and ate
Sir Worsham That was not a cookie..
OMG I am 45 seconds and I am loving it! You are so funny and adorbs missy!
anythin from this network is great viewing.
The opening tea preparation reminds me of the British classic Keeping Up Appearances ha! Lovely video x
The Bucket residence, the lady of the house speaking!
This video was excellent I loved your playful seriousness and the sounds are tantalizing. I can't wait for the next episode
I too am beyond excited!!!
◦°˚\(*❛‿❛)/˚°◦
i've been subscribed to this channel forever but today i was browsing other asmr channels and didn´t like their voices, your voice is just perfect for this.
this series seems so cool!! i’m definitely gonna watch it all and subscribe because british things are fascinating. this is like a relaxing chill out session.
I'm going out and buying as many packages of biscuits/cookies as I can possibly afford... As soon as the shops open!
This was so wonderfully relaxing but made me so hungry haha.
This was so British and I absolutely live (or I guess sleep) by your videos! So excited for the next Biscuits of Britain! :)
The staff in the shop might think you have some sort of biscuit addiction.....I'm sure that's what they think of me when I go and buy mine for my BoB videos
am saving this for tonight bedtime but just saw the first minute and bloody well laughed at the mad dunking after Downton Abbey posh intro, brilliant :D
I luurrvvee the opening of this video. It seems so quirky and cute - then quickly takes a darker turn as she fair murders that bikkie.
Got to get those biscuits right in there, need a good coating of tea!!
I live in Canada, and a few weeks ago I discovered that the Wal-Mart in my town had just added an 'International British' section to their grocery department, which has become my favourite section, because everything I've eaten from there is so good! So far I've tried the Tunnocks tea cakes from your picnic video (which are amazing by the way, thank you for telling me about those!), the Tunnocks cookies (or biscuits) in this video, and a chocolate pudding (In a can, that I had to boil. I'd never seen anything like it, it was a bit of an odd concept to me, but totally delicious).
TimBurtonIsAmazing So pleased you liked the Tunnocks, they're delish!
I actually live not far from the Tunnocks factory and know someone who works in it, so get the occasional freebie! Another Tunnocks product that is worth trying if you haven't already is the caramel log, it's similar to the caramel wafer but instead of having chocolate on the outside it has sprinklings of roasted coconut, has the potential to be very messy but SOOO worth it.
What????? That sounds amazing......where can I get them from, does your friend have a vacancy for a best friend from the North East?
you are adorable girly
I love tea and biscuits/cookies. This is such a cute idea. And your tea set is beautiful, just as I would expect :P
Lovely idea, looking forward for the next episode :)
I've already filmed it.....I can't wait to put it up!
I'm from the US, I live in the Coastal Carolina region. Let me just say biscuits and tea are soo different than that of Britain!! Our tea is sweet and iced and our biscuits look similar to an English muffin, but is much more of a "cakey" consistency but isn't sweet unless its buttered and jammed up. Or you could pour sausage gravy on it. (Yes i know its bad, but its the way we do it!!) Didn't know if you knew that or not, but I find it interesting how they are so different but are called the same. Neat!!
I used to wonder why people from America ate biscuits and gravy and why the biscuits were scones, it was very confusing
I can definitely understand why it would be! Haha.
the lotus was always up against it against a full-wrapper chocolate treat in every aspect to be honest. The robustness in the dunk, the general taste factor and classic nature of the wafer was formidable. Looking forward to future duels.
Just what I wanted! I'm American but with a British soul and I adore tea time :) thanks for the video!
Oh my...you were as excited as a kid at Christmas to get into those cookies! You have the best personality! And now I want tea and cookies! Lol :)
I've lost count of how many people I have made hungry now, we should all meet up and have a giant cup of tea and chit chat
Hello Charlotte! I absolutely adore this video and have watched it many times.
I should mention that I'm an American, and today I went on a bit of a shopping trip inspired by you and your videos :-)
Here in the US there is a shop called World Market. They sell home décor, toys, wine, and foods from other countries. I love this shop! Today I popped in and went straight to the UK food section and proceeded to buy Jammie Dodgers, Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Biscuits and Milk Chocolate Tea Cakes, and a packet of Malteasers! I can't wait to try them all!! I did show some restraint though...I didn't get the Lotus biscuits topped with Belgian chocolate :D I have loved the original Lotus for years.
I'd enjoy a video on traditional English tea time foods, proper brewing, etc...
Hope this is helpful to anyone in the US who wants to try the treats they see on your channel. :-)
Yey have you tried them yet? I'd love to know what you think of them!!
In Sweden we have the old custom of having "sju sorters kakor" (lit. seven kinds of bisquits/cookies/cakes) with our coffee at the mandatory and pseudo-religious Swedish 'fika' (no adequate translation available in English), so it is enjoyable to see what you brits are doing with your tea and bisquits. ^^
7 different kinds???? I need to go to Sweden!
Though the assorted bisquits and cakes may vary depending on family traditions, it usually consists of shortcakes and the like...
It's too bad this custom is being phased out in favour of american or continental customs (although we will NEVER give up our coffee, just as you brits and your tea :p )...
You gotta fight.....for your right......to driiiiiiink tea!! (or coffee in your case)
well I do that, litre by litre per day... ;)
7:02 I am in love with this angelic, spontaneous laughter ! ❤⚘
I feel like I got TOO excited about this video. I did a happy dance as I lay in bed when I saw this video!
We can be super excited together!!
terrific idea! PG tips is terrific but more difficult to find in America unfortunately. Tho I have had great success at Publix, a local grocery chain that has a "British" section and also a grocery chain called ALDI which came from Germany which I find quite interesting. ALDI is apparently short for Albrecht Diskont in german. I first tried milk and hot tea when I was dating someone from England. At first I thought, "Hot tea? Milk?", I'm from the American South so tea is typically served sweet with Ice. :) So it was a big change but so worth it. The milk helped to keep the bitterness down of the black tea and you are so right about the sugar. At first I did include it because that's how I've always had tea, but once I got myself off it you can really appreciate the taste and flavor of the different teas. I often drink hot tea now with and without milk and enjoy both. My favorite as of now is green tea daily tho nothing is more satisfying to sit down with a nice cup of english tea (black tea) with some milk (Tho I prefer cream!) and a nice movie or book to read!
I will say that I don't indulge in biscuits anymore. :( It is sad but I avoid foodstuffs like that now for health reasons mostly. Tho this reminds me of how much I miss it! Lol. :) Thanks for the video! Also I noticed this video is easy to hear you for sure. Usually I have to pump up the volume all the way so thats nice. Tho I noticed your intro was a bit too loud for my taste but it is just an intro so no biggy! Thanks again and looking forward to additions episodes.
Oh, the biscuits I did eat were McVitie's and Walker's. They were heaven. :)
I love it when people drink tea the British way and enjoy it, tea can be quite bitter and when I was in the USA I found that adding sugar or honey didn't make it nice (I'd say it was tolerable). I too like cream in mine although it's not good for me as I'm lactose intolerant.
Also top choice on the Walkers, they make some amazing shortbread!
All I've watched is the introduction and I already love it! :)
(ʘ෴̴͜ʘ)
Decided to start with this one. Not used to the whispering but for some reason it was hypnotizing. It seemed to make me feel less stressed. There's something about this. Can't quite think of what it is or put my finger on it. I was thinking of Lotus throughout this whole vid. Interesting stuff. I do like this. I will check out more. Since I'm new to this I wouldn't be able to recommend much of anything. Have a beautiful day.
nowt like a good cuppa and a cpl of biscuits, great video, thank you
I love this...now I know what biscuits are yay!!! Now I need to make me some tea hehe
yey, join me on my next video with your tea!
I was so flippin' excited to see this! and I can't wait until you have a Po box so I can send you cookies from Cincinnati, OH. USA
Thank you Tina Peterson I'm on the hunt for a cheaper PO Box alternative......I can't wait until I get one! (ʘ෴̴͜ʘ)
Oh have you had Maria Cookies? When made by the popular Mexican brand Goya they are quite delicious with tea. Not very sweet but very interesting.
Loove it .... makes me feel that I have to visit Britain again as soon as possible ... biscuits were one of my biggest sins when I stayed on the island and although I´ve tried to simulate a British teatime several times in classroom it never tasted as good as in old Britannia ...really excited to see your choice now ... MC Vities ... Digestives .... mmmmmmmmhhhhh .....
Which country in Britain did you stay in? We all have different kinds of biscuits! I live in England and we have the best! :-)
The area around Birmingham ... you definitely have!!!!
Digestives will definitely be making an appearance one day!
BIG LIKE
Man, I'm gonna like this series!
Me too ( ° ͜ʖ °)
I prefer the crunch sound of the Lotus, what I like to do with my cookies or "biscuits" is I like to crumble them up and sprinkle them on top of ice cream, it is so delicious! And now thanks to this video, I have to go and do that today.
You've given me an idea, I'm going to crumble them over some cupcakes I'm making next week!
Brilliant, let me know how they turn out.
joel diaz Well they were DELICIOUS!!! Went down a treat!!!!
Lovely, did you save me any?
Yeah I've posted it out to you
Ha-I remember enjoying British Biscuit's with a spot of tea in London. Now mark you, in the States when we say "Biscuit" it generally refers to a dough based biscuit, especially in southern states and at first that's what I thought I would be getting. "How odd to drink hot tea and biscuits" Little did I know...I also enjoy scones, my mother and I loved them. When tea was served our British tour guide would insist we drink it with milk as he would quip; "Tea w/o milk is so unsophisticated." Anyway, after watching this I'm craving British biscuits.
Ha ha sounds like a good (and strict) tour guide!
Ah, Alex (our guide) wasn't really strict per say, he was extremely British and a great guy, some events that took place I cannot print :) Once when we went by Buckingham Palace he announced "This is where Queen Elizabeth is!" Some hillbilly from North Carolina asked "What does the Queen do in there all day?" and without missing a beat our tour guide responds "Why my dear lady...she Queens and Vacuums!" Classic!
I agree with the crunch comparison the wafer biscuit seemed like a more dynamic crunch than the more simple crunch of the caramelized biscuit. Lol okay enough of that. I love your videos, always brilliant and very genuine. Thank you for all you do for us.
Thank you Rick Gimenez I'm glad we agree on the biscuit crunch!
Heston Blumenthal has a nice little segment on how emphasizing staccato sounds affects perception of crunch quality.
I loved this :-) Looking forward to future videos in this series!
I love ur vids ur awesome you were one of the reasons that I got inspired to asmr 😀😀😀
Just started this series and your videos and kind and calm demeanor are very relaxing for an anxious person like me :) also any time i drink hot tea it tastes very gross to me, but im not sure if thats because we make it differently in america and is probably really wrong. X.x
Hehe, 'that minging chocolate'--I'm enjoying listening to some proper northern ASMR :)
I'm pretty sure that's the official name for rank chocolate!
Oh man, I got hungry lookin at that caramel biscuit even as I was eating food. Now I want tea.
They're delicious, if you ever see them snap them up!
I can't hack it anymore. Have to put the kettle on. If I have no biscuits in my cupboard I shall curse thee!!!!
No biscuits??? You need to amend that ASAP!
I've been waiting for this since you mentioned it. You're the best
Thanks for watching Steven scb
lotus biscuit spread, best thing since sliced bread, best enjoyed on sliced bread!
I don't like sugar in my tea either. I take it with honey instead. If you haven't tried it, you should. its good. =)
As a fellow Brit, this made me fangirl :') Awesome job, as always!!
Thank you Ionaa812 what is your favourite biccy?
Ooh, hmm.. I'm a fan of shortbread. And you can't quite top a Jammie Dodger!
Ohhhh nothing better than creamy sugary 'real' Scottish shortbread!!!!
Oh my God, you really did it. Love it!!!!!!!!!
Ha ha I did, couldn't not do it!
I love the cheerful and innocent vibe of all your vids and this is one of the best I've seen. Thank you for putting in the work :-)
BTW I think Lotus is known as Biscoff in the U.S. I assume this because the label and cookie (biscuit) look exactly the same.
Thank you jctrevi89
The Lotus biscuits have a better crunch than the others! about a 9 out of ten
As an American, I drink most of my tea iced, but despite that cultural difference, I found myself enjoying this quite a bit. Your nearly scientific process was detailed and somehow charming at the same time. I've never heard of these biscuits, nor do I expect to ever see them, but I'm oddly looking forward to seeing more Biscuits of Britian
Thank you TRLAuthor it made me chuckle at how serious I got but lets be honest here....this IS serious stuff isn't it. I mean there are literally thousands of biscuits and I have to pull up my britches and start my journey through them (is pull up your britches a famous saying or did I just make that up?)
I love this series and I cannot wait for more! Thanks to you, I've discovered the yumminess that is Tunnock's Tea Cakes. The downside is I live in the US (Texas of all places) and there are only TWO places I've been able to find them. They are addictive!
Wow, who knew watching someone take such care with opening a plastic package could be so enjoyable? :D Great video. Again, love your realness. I can tell you love tea and biscuits. And your eyes were simply glowing. Pretty smile, too. Thanks again. And by the way, thanks for replying to my posts. It's great hearing from you personally. Keep the vids coming :)
Thank you for watching dannyh010 I certainly do love my tea and biscuits almost too much (that is usually what I have for lunch)
The lotus crunch was so much better than the caramel! I would have given the caramel a 5 and lotus 7. :) x
Great idea for a series :D Love these :3
I'm halfway through watching this and needed some biscuits. It gave me cravings. What awaited me? Some standard rich tea, some broken ginger nuts, and an unopened packet of Jammy Dodgers. At present JD's are getting demolished.
Strong choice ***** !
YEAAA BABY!!
wait a tic?
IS THAT A FEMBOT?!
:)
Hah brilliant. You got the Lotus ones :D and such a massive pack!
They didn't last very long!
I can imagine. They are delicious!
Love, can't wait for more! 😍
Me neither (strictly for science purposes of course)!!
OMG you're amazing!!! The whispering along with the accent sends me into total relaxation. I should visit England and have tea and biscuits.... :)
You should, pop along and I'll share my vast biscuit collection with you....maybe!
Have you ever drunk tea through a Cadbury's chocolate finger, almost like a straw? I urge you try it. It seems to slightly cool the tea as you suck it through so can drink it right away! I haven't done it in a long while but I think you have to bite one end off in order to get tea uptake - it can also get a bit messy with melting choc etc. Great vid btw. I've never felt quite so relaxed and patriotic at the same time.
In all my years as a professional tea drinker and biscuit eater I have never tried this. Also Cadbury's fingerez are one of the few things from Cadbury's I actually like!!
Never mind Lotus biscuits.....have you had the Lotus spread? It's like peanut butter but made from crushed up Lotus biscuits. It's amazing just off the spoon but even better spread on something like a Nice. Only ever seen it for sale in Waitrose.
I've not had it but next time I see it I'm getting some!
This is great, this video makes me hungry and relaxed at the same time. lol
Can't wait to see what biscuits are featured next time.
Those caramel wafer biscuits looks mighty tasty, kinda look like American Little Debbie biscuits called "Nutty Bars", those have peanut butter instead of caramel filling though.
Rob
Ha ha you Americans and your peanut butter you put it in everything!
ASMR Angel OH YES!! You should try peanut butter in tomato soup! Delish!!
Crissythatsme that _has_ to be a joke, please tell me it's a joke!
No joke, lol!!! I have always mixed peanut butter with tomato soup and crackers since childhood!! It is really yummy!! You should give it a try! :) Great video by the way!! I really enjoyed it!!
I think I'll give that one a miss, I like peanut butter on occasions but I can't stand tomato soup.
Loved the intro! Great video!
Thank you bunnifer23 (=˘ϖ˘=)
You are quite the master at making faces out of symbols!
I'm so excited you finally did this! I love the intro, btw!
Thank you, I wanted it to be different for this specific series
I live in the U.S. and have always taken milk in my tea. I've been told that's very British. Now I get it. :-)
Maybe you're half British and you never knew it!
Love this - and yes now I want a brew (and biscuits)! Is that a Russell Hobbs illuminating kettle?x
It is, boiling water has never been so fun!
We bought this kettle a few weeks ago - it's fab (as fab as kettles can get anyway).x
Love this! And you are adorable, as always!
Thank you Mindy Bolano (﹒︠ᴗ﹒︡)
This is so nice!!!
Now I'm curious... do you mean you crush them and put them on top?
blitzstrahl Not on the top but under the cake. Like this -> www.biscoff.com/create/recipes/103/baked-lotus-cheesecake
:)
I love the Lotus biscuits too. Found them in here in the US at special grocery stores.
Have you tried the lotus biscuit spread?
Not yet, but it sounds divine. I'm seriously considering picking it up during my next world market trip.
Do it.......it's magical!!
Thumbs up on your biscuit choice. I have both of those in right now. Got my Lotus biscuits at Home & Bargain. Or to make it sound posh - Home & Barshan ;-)
I'm going to call it the Home Shop now, makes it sound like it's Laura Ashley type shop :-)
You are beyond beautiful; but seriously this video made me tingle like crazy, great work!
Loved this! Thanks for the tea brewing tips too :P
Get the custard creams out I say!
I'll join you, love a good custard cream!
Hello everyone, welcome to the first episode of Bisquits of America. Unfortunately this show won't last very long because, to be frank, we don't have any biscuits. Except for the deep friend ones (but come one, it's America, we deep fry everything!)
Love, love, LOVE! Zzzzzzzz...My boss just came back from the UK and brought me a candy bar you can't get here in the states...fortunately, I think these biscuits (and chocolates) you are showing are available at Cost Plus and/or possibly Whole Foods. Suggestion for another role play: some kind of candy store clerk? You would be awesome!
I think that the big shops are catching on now, we have Tesco over here which is like your everyday supermarket (grocery store) and they now have an american section, the stuff is still a little pricey but it's nice to have a good selection. What chocolate bar did he bring you?
Love your British vid the flag is everywhere on the bag too. I have come to love that flag ever since the Beatles came to America and visited my house. ;) yes they used to visit every Sunday. You make everything you touch something beautiful the elegance of your movements melt me so much Charlotte. your voice melts me even more and then your beautiful looks melt me even more than that. You can imagine what a puddle I make after I get through with your vids. ;)-p I learn things too love your super relaxing vids you're just the best at what you do. :) xoxo
The Dream has arrived, this is true greatness!
This is my dream come true too, there is literally nothing I love more than biscuits......well maybe my family but that's about it!
Recently discovered Tunnocks plain chocolate wafers in a blue wrapper! £1.04 for 8 at Morrisons this week. Result.
Blast from the past now - who remembers Broadhurts's Dundee biscuits? A kind of shortbread and chocolate combination. Broadhurst closed and I don't think anybody makes them anymore.
Thought of a sideline for you. Set up BikiWiki. All you ever need to know about biscuits.
I'll be the Bisc-oricle! (/¯◡ ‿ ◡)/¯ ~ ┻━┻
Also the wafers you're describing sound like Blue ribands
"Your Majesty, you look... younger >_>"
Why thank you Doctor Idle
your spoon movement post-stirring is very dainty. I must confess I'm a caveman style spoon basher on the cusp of the cup. I just can't help myself.
Tut tut!!
