Soldier Field switched from the old Astro Turf to natural grass in 1994 for the USA ‘94 FIFA World Cup. The same thing happened at the Meadowlands. The Pontiac Silverdome had a temporary natural grass field installed for the same event.
Honestly I think the right move would be, making the stadiums that can do the rectrable field surface thing like tottenham and State farm stadium do it. Then just making the ones that cant install or use the monofilament turf. Oh and by cant install it I mean the ones In city centers or condensed areas. Thats seems like the best possible compromise. Though just so the owners dont throw a fit lets have the nfl pay a percentage of the cost for the stadiums adding the retractable field system. I guess the one thing is that the league would probably have to schedule a bunch of contracts with colleges have like half the league play in college stadiums. Not all teams have a atleast 30,000 seater college stadium nearby either.
I went on the field on Metlife stadium and its really soft and does not feel like its dangerous to NFL players, so sometimes you wonder how they do get injured on it.
This why when World Cup comes to USA if there not natural grass the players won’t play. Good luck watching Mbappe and other stars play. Many soccer players have it in contract not to play on artificial turf.
Keep this long form content videos coming. I love them all!
Thanks so much! 2 a month in 2024 is the goal!

So it’s possible, they just refuse to do it
Nothing more ironic than the No Fun League registering as ‘sports entertainment’
🤐
i always thought it wasn't the turf vs grass itself that was the issue but what's underneath. Concrete is beneath turf and dirt is beneath grass.

I ran on a turf field only once and quickly tripped and scraped my knee.

Luckily I just explained how 😅
Next time you go, try running full speed for 10 yards and change directions with someone chasing you.
During the friendlies match man utd vs arsenal 2 man utd players hojlund and yoro get injured and ten hag is not happy in sofi stadium
Lambeau is a shit field. Back to back years-Brian O’Neill and Kirk Cousins blew out Achilles non contact.
The bad surface in Arizona was the paint not the grass.
Almost like the nfl wanted natural grass to look bad 🤔
Now that’s a conspiracy theory!
Mam i didnt knwo you had long form content. Brillaint video
