This is the first time I have ever heard of this man and that is a shame . Very grateful this video was made to let us know this giant of a man existed . I wish that more Americans would know about him and his exploits and truly see what a man is , what a leader of men is and a true warrior . He is a perfect example of the old phrase , it's not the size of the dog in the fight , but the size of the fight in the dog .
R.I.P. CSM Tadina for you will not be forgotten by me .

Same. I joined the Navy as a combat engineer, Seabees. Seabees can land anywhere on Earth in 24 hours. Start building what is needed. This man is the Best, the reason we don't know about him. Some of what we did, do have time locks. 10, 20 years, or never, U.S. government. We don't like sharing our Best.

The title is a bit misleading "...without a single scratch." He was wounded three times, but the impressive thing is having never lost a single man in his 5 years in Vietnam. That is not just an epic achievement, it is truly legendary. I imagine there would have been fierce competition to serve under him.

I met Tad and he was something unlike anything you would ever meet. Tad did not take his brother’s breath very well. He a personal was with the Viet Cong killing an untold number of them over the next year. It was so bad that most Rangers did not want to go on mission with him because they knew he was going to engage every enemy force he came across. I have the highest respect for this man. One hell of a soldier.

Seems like, as a Marine, that I have seen, and heard of Ranger friends, that got Bronze Stars, and their officers, would get a silver star, or LOM.... And they didn't do it! They just happened to be in command of some outstanding warriors!!! Smh... Chesty disliked zeros just because that kinda BS... But he sees about 40 VC come out of the treeline so he jumps into the crashed huey, opens up on the VC with the door gun, kills about half of the opfor, then grabs a shot gun and his sidearm and charges into em like a madman, kills em all. Moral of the story? Don't f*ck with uncle bob after he's been drinkin!

@@banedonrunestar5618Sigh. Walz was Guard. Part time. One stay in Italy, otherwise slept in his own bed, went to work, came home, and ate supper with his family. Trump got a deferment. You do know Biden and Bill Clinton also got deferments. And if military service is so important to you, Kamala could have volunteered. I did. USAF, 1976-80, and a woman.

I think ranger training back then was only 2 weeks, but 2 weeks of very phyiscal activity is pretty hard! Most older people are tired after 20-30 min. Rough streets of Hawaii🤣🤣That is the funniest thing I heard this week!

“ ranger “ training in Vietnam at the SF area was completely different than ranger school in the states. Those who trained in Vietnam could not wear the “ Ranger tab “. As to his ranger training I’m really not sure where he got it

Another Vietnam story about a Great American hero, if we had more men like him and supported them. There would be 2 Vietnams, one a friendly republic and one a communist shithole. Heroes like Tadina may be gone but they will never be forgotten.
He is now with his brothers in Valhalla, with Tango Mike Mike, Master Sergeant Roy Benavidez.
We need men like them now more than ever!!!
