Some of what we did, do have time locks. 10, 20 years, or never, U.S. government. We don't like sharing our Best.
The title is a bit misleading "...without a single scratch." He was wounded three times, but the impressive thing is having never lost a single man in his 5 years in Vietnam. That is not just an epic achievement, it is truly legendary. I imagine there would have been fierce competition to serve under him.

I met Tad and he was something unlike anything you would ever meet. Tad did not take his brother’s breath very well. He a personal was with the Viet Cong killing an untold number of them over the next year. It was so bad that most Rangers did not want to go on mission with him because they knew he was going to engage every enemy force he came across. I have the highest respect for this man. One hell of a soldier.

Command Sergeant Major Tadina, was in my battalion chain of command. I had several chances to walk n talk with him. He was one of the top 5 NCOs I ever worked with. This was in 1990 at Ft. Riley KS. The Big Red One.

Congress has nothing to do with the MOH. Many people are under the assumption that it’s called the congressional MOH but is not. We have the congressional MOH society because the medal was authorized through Congress after the Civil War.

Tad was a LRP and that is how he would want to be remembered. LRPs were rolled into Rangers later on in the war but they always saw themselves as LRPs first.

Served with LRSD, 101st Airborne. Those boys are still holding it down in early GWOT. I was just a untabbed 11bravo, but some of these dudes went on to green berets. This unit was a pipeline for alot of Ranger bat and spec ops dudes. Infantrymen always the heart of the fight!!
Were LRSD units ever used offensively. LRRP units in Vietnam were used very offensively and their mission scope went far beyond reconnaissance. I have always been curious if this was still the case in later years.
