Thank you very much Sir. One question is that generally mastic is laid over the base surface like BC, but nowadays on bridge deck mastic is laid first and covered by BC for protecting the deck from moisture more efficiently than previous method as by some experts. Which is correct.Your valuable suggestions is needed.

Mastic layer is more water proof than BC layer, but provides less skid resistance than BC. Both practices are in use; laying Mastic over BC layer and BC over mastic. When BC is to be laid over mastic (this is done on brifge deck slabs only), the mastic is laid in very thin layer and IRC 107 is not for such a thin layer. It is clearly written in Section 2 of the code that This document is not for thin mastic layer on bridge decks below a bituminous concrete layer.
