Hi Lindy! I love your zebra pride shirt! I've had Biography of X on my TBR for awhile. I requested my library to acquire it and they accepted the request but it's taking them forever to get it. Have a good weekend!
Hi Angelia! I’m glad you like my shirt. I’ve had it for 29 years. (I get really attached to my clothes.)
There’s going to be a new readathon happening in September, one related to art. I’ve already decided that will be the perfect occasion to read Biography of X.
So glad you liked Eve! I very much appreciated the humor in that book.
@@myreadinglife8816 Me too. I like Bohannon’s sense of humour. 😊
Hi Lindy. Lovely to see you 😊 I’ve started Biography of X in audio and print. Love your tshirt
Hi Tanya, it’s lovely to hear from you! I’m glad you like my shirt, which I have owned since the mid-90s. Let me know how it goes with Biography of X. 😊
I just picked up Eve from the library-also on Heidi’s recommendation! It sounds really fascinating.
Yes, before reading Eve, it never occurred to me to wonder why we don’t have two or more vaginas. There are endless things to marvel at and ponder in that book. Enjoy!
I just picked up the e-book. Maybe we could plan to have a chat when we've both read it Hannah. I haven’t started it yet.
@@scallydandlingaboutthebook2711 I would like that 😊
@@scallydandlingaboutthebook2711 I would love that! I’m a bit over-booked (!) right now and am not quite sure of my schedule. Will be in touch soon…
@@HannahsBooks that's fine. Me too so no rush but a Hannah, Lindy, Ros conversation would be fun.
I was so pleased about Brotherless Night too. I hope to get to Biography of X from the LAMBDA list. I was fascinated to hear how the audio version of Gender Queer worked. I am about to read a couple of comics by Guy Delisle, Pyongyang and Factory Summers. Do you know him?
Guy Delisle is great! I think I have read everything he’s done. Pyongyang was the first book I had ever read set in North Korea. His eerie experience of being chaperoned the whole time has stuck with me. Factory Summer is a more mature work, even though it’s about his youth. I love that one. I look forward to hearing what you think of his graphic style and dry humour.
@@lindysmagpiereads good to hear that from you. A young man who works in one of my teams recommended him and has lent me his copies.
Oh, hey, we are basically neighbours (I'm in the Victoria area as well). I had to double check if you were talking about Sidney BC or NS before commenting :)
@@KathyTrithardt Hi Kathy! I live in Vic West. Maybe we will bump into each other at queer book events. I regret not hearing about Pride in the Word until the day after it happened. I will be watching for it next year!
@@lindysmagpiereads I've been to the last two Pride in the Word events, and they are always interesting 😊
I’ve added to my library list thanks to you. 💜
Are you ever in danger of running out of recommendations? 😁
I am happily well stocked with plenty of books! 😊
@@sreilly66 🎉🎉🎉
That's a good shirt.
Thanks ☺️
