There are so many people on the net telling about that like they cant find their body sizes while shopping online and it is very bad like how tf are those clothes gonna perfectly fit you . They can go to a tailor and alter it . There is a whole trend and some small business brag about having variety body sizes and how will it perfectly fit each and every individual like just how ???
Why is that funny? Sounds like one of the more reasonable and rational things she said. There's no reason why clothes companies (not small businesses ofc but actual clothing companies) cant make larger sizes especially when the average size of an American woman is a size 16 🤷♀️
I have a good friend that is a bit overweight but it actually isn't his fault. He has a slow metabolism and goes on walks most days and lately has been trying to lose the weight but it has been difficult for him and I hate to see him be thrown in with the crowd of people that eat McDonald's 4 times a day because he's the exact opposite
Don’t worry I don’t think Optimus is talking people like your friend. I believe he’s talking about the people who intentionally don’t try to lose weight or “eat McDonald’s 4 times a day” I wish good health for your friend
I had a friend who's parents were very fit and healthy, but didn't let their daughter eat what they ate and exempt her from fitness classes so they could use her to promote their political views. She was taken away from her parents after a bit and she's got access to healthier foods and a gym, but before she was literally not allowed to lose weight because of her parents.
For people it’s wrong for, you will know it’s wrong for, like bodybuilders. She, for example, is not “discriminated” against by the BMI. She is just incredibly ignorant to how it works
BMI can sometimes be wrong, but your doctor doesn't come in and go you need to lose weight, he actually looks at the person first, so even if the BMI is "wrong" it's just an objective standpoint for weight
BMI is actually very ineffective. Per the BMI, I am obese. I'm a Marine Corps Captain, I'm in very good shape, and I can move a lot of weight. I've been "overweight" or "obese" per the BMI since I started lifting weights in college. I'm just not very tall and I have a lot of muscle mass. That being said, im also quite lean and the insurance companies will also accommodate you if you are actually healthy. I had a professor in college who was an amateur bodybuilder who was also "obese" per the BMI, but he was very healthy and luke 5 percent bodyfat when prepping for competitions. His insurance company just required him to get a physical and submit a picture of himself and he was good to go.
Bmi doesn't take account muscle mass (if i remember) so she probably heard "oh its not exactly correct it doesn't count muscle mass." And went "not perfect, its useless and a hate crime."
i had to lose my weight because in early middle school i couldn’t fit into clothes, it was had to find clothes, i started exercising and plus puberty kicked in and i grew and got skinnier, and now i can fit into any clothes i want to, plus on top of that, i actually feel so much better being skinnier, i can move around the way i want to, and just overall feel great physically, it really is worth it to just try losing your weight even if it’s hard
I appreciate that you have human decency, good morals and opinions, and acceptance for other people’s opinions. Also, you are still able to accurately take apart an argument and dissect a situation, without being biased. As you put it, you keep it a buck fifty. Keep up the good content, dude.
I used to have an odd relationship with food, did nothing but snack all day and drink soda and I was always sick, exhausted, dehydrated and just so many health problems until I finally decided I was sick of being unhealthy at my maximum weight of nearly 300 and changed it and I feel so much better(now 150 and 5’6). I don’t deny that some people have medical issues that make them gain weight or make it hard to lose weight but how can you expect us to respect you when you don’t respect yourself? I can encourage and respect you loving yourself and your body but not willingly making yourself unhealthy and doing nothing about it.
Although this comment is 5 months ago I just wanted to say I’m proud of you and that not a lot of people have the courage to do that!. I just wanted to know how your doing now did you loose more weight?
I'm a big guy (258) pounds but you know it's not that hard to lose weight I used to be 380 and over the last 10 months I've lost a good chunk of weight by going on 5 runs a week and eating better
Actually it is. To claim its not sets up an extremely unhealthy mindset. You're literally setting them up to fail. They need to know that it's going to take hard work. Food addiction and mental health are things that are extremely difficult to get over. Especially if you don't have the funds to make the necessary changes.
Been losing weight for a bit now. Used to be 121kg and now I'm just passed 100kg (dunno pounds) and just by working out, eating healthier etc, I feel like a completely new man. I'm a lot more fit, muscular and happy. If these over weight people actually tried to worked out and better themselves, instead of just crying about it, they'd see a difference.
Last year I was 5’10 298, I was miserable and felt terrible. I’ve never been so depressed in my life. So, I made a change. I started working out, and maintained a diet. Now I’m 6’1 and 238 I feel so much better and look so much better. To see people like this make excuses, when all they have to do is eat a salad and do regular cardio, genuinely makes me lose hope in people, how are you this lazy. It’s not that hard…
Honestly as someone who used to be on the heavy side and then got my stuff together Im glad people told me how it was because it helped me get my life on track and to feel better about myself
Bruh the only reason I workout so much is to eat my favorite foods every now and then. I have eaten to much meats and look like an angry muscular marshmallow

When she said tell clothes company’s to expand there size range that just about killed me 😂 😂 😂
There are so many people on the net telling about that like they cant find their body sizes while shopping online and it is very bad like how tf are those clothes gonna perfectly fit you . They can go to a tailor and alter it . There is a whole trend and some small business brag about having variety body sizes and how will it perfectly fit each and every individual like just how ???
I literally wanted to smack her when she said that.
Why doesn't she lessen her size range?
Why is that funny? Sounds like one of the more reasonable and rational things she said. There's no reason why clothes companies (not small businesses ofc but actual clothing companies) cant make larger sizes especially when the average size of an American woman is a size 16 🤷♀️

I have a good friend that is a bit overweight but it actually isn't his fault. He has a slow metabolism and goes on walks most days and lately has been trying to lose the weight but it has been difficult for him and I hate to see him be thrown in with the crowd of people that eat McDonald's 4 times a day because he's the exact opposite
ify
Don’t worry I don’t think Optimus is talking people like your friend. I believe he’s talking about the people who intentionally don’t try to lose weight or “eat McDonald’s 4 times a day”
I wish good health for your friend
My mom has type one diabetes (the one you’re born with) and can’t lose weight yet she’s still like 150 pounds (5’1)
@@bombdotcom2168 That’s horrible. Do you know WHY they wanted to keep her overweight and unhealthy? Like… what was their reasoning?
BMI is sometimes wrongs because if someone like a bodybuilder does a BMI the BMI will tell them there obese but it’s definitely not racist
For people it’s wrong for, you will know it’s wrong for, like bodybuilders. She, for example, is not “discriminated” against by the BMI. She is just incredibly ignorant to how it works
@@nican9622 I absolutely agree, generally bmi is a good indicator, and in the case of body builders and such it's quite clear on that
But for the other 99% of people who are not very high muscle mass, the BMI is a fine indicator of obesity.
BMI can sometimes be wrong, but your doctor doesn't come in and go you need to lose weight, he actually looks at the person first, so even if the BMI is "wrong" it's just an objective standpoint for weight
BMI is inaccurate cause it doesn’t include muscle mass
I’m 300 pounds 14 year old and you opened my eyes that I need to lost weight thanks man ❤️

That made me laugh when I saw it
BMI is actually very ineffective.
That’s cause bmi doesn’t work for all body types. It’s somewhat effective but doesn’t support all ranges of people
@@BlackCherryZyn ok so if it doesn't work for all body types then it's ineffective, no?
That's actually a really good point. I doubt the ppl on tik tok saying it's ineffective are aware of this line of reasoning though.

i had to lose my weight because in early middle school i couldn’t fit into clothes, it was had to find clothes, i started exercising and plus puberty kicked in and i grew and got skinnier, and now i can fit into any clothes i want to, plus on top of that, i actually feel so much better being skinnier, i can move around the way i want to, and just overall feel great physically, it really is worth it to just try losing your weight even if it’s hard

I don’t deny that some people have medical issues that make them gain weight or make it hard to lose weight but how can you expect us to respect you when you don’t respect yourself? I can encourage and respect you loving yourself and your body but not willingly making yourself unhealthy and doing nothing about it.

Actually it is. To claim its not sets up an extremely unhealthy mindset. You're literally setting them up to fail. They need to know that it's going to take hard work.
