As a chelsea fan, I love obi mikel. He was an absolute wall in the midfield and he was used differently but I loved when he played for us. He was not our worst midfielder at all and he was a very underrated player. Doesn’t get enough love but I’ll always love that man

That is the most annoying thing about that show. Yelling over each other, talking over each other, they practically have to spit out their words quickly cause someone will fucking interrupt and either shit on the opinion or just change subject. I was born in ‘91. I remember Highbury. My favourite player is Cesc Fabregas. It’s clear men like Bergkamp and Henry incomparable I get you. But there are many things that go into a player being your ‘favourite’ like how you yourself play, where you were in life when that player was balling, stylistic differences I mean there are loads of reasons to say Santi or Fab. For me Fab because I adore how he came in as a little Spanish kid to a cruel Prem of big men and fought so hard that his flame of talent shone bright. I love Fab because it didn’t look to me like it would work, he had a nasty side, magical Barca boy who at the time were like an alien level side to me. I just love how he embraced England despite how raw a transition it was for him as a light techy CAM. Just my perspective you feel me.
I took that 4 in every team I’ve played in. The 4 came from Koeman as a Dutch tradition. To Guardiola. To Fabregas. We moved to Aus and Fab gave me many a reason to get up in the middle of the night and watch us play. Chucked pizza at Fergie. Players like Henry and Dennis would never do that ahaha

This guy Shaun never grew up watching Chelsea properly lol Mikel started untold games. Was arguably MOTM CL final in 2012. Started in CM under every manager at Chelsea. Funny thing about Mikel is that he would be one of the best midfielders in the world today with all these new systems. He was what Thiago, Jorginho, Busquets etc are today. He was so neat & tidy on the ball. Underrated. Not underrated by Chelsea managers though.
