If you can find a piece of wood that will fit diagonally, definitely! The planks (as they are) aren't long enough to be used diagonally or I'd have definitely done that. It gives a lot more stability :)
@@Lovelygreens you could always brace 2 together with an off cut like a lap joint without a cut. It is very adaptable however. If you filled the gaps and built the sides up it could be the potting container. Saves buying a plastic one. Very clever. 👍
Hey Tanya...It came out fantastic! Thanks for the share. I received your book the other day, and I totally love it. I like to think of myself as a seasoned gardener, ( lol ) but there's always more to learn and you are one of the best teachers out there. Sending you much love from Toronto. Xx
Excellent video Tanya and it was a fantastic idea to make a potting bench from pallets. It's amazing what you can make from pallets. You have inspired me to make a potting bench from pallets.
You are amazing! I just love this. We farm cotton and peanuts and have scads of pallets. I don’t think i trust myself with a power tool, but maybe my son could help me.
Such a great idea, it looks so handy. I have a little greenhouse that would work great in, I'll be on the hunt for pallets. Hope you're getting your senses back.
Hi Tanya! I'd been looking forward to this, and it was brilliant. Super clear instructions, and a great potting bench at the end of it. I've got 12 pallets that are destined to become compost bays, but!... I think a couple of them might just be turning into a potting bench now! Thanks for making this! 😃
Thanks Niall :) If you need more work space in the garden, and the material, why not? It's pretty easy and you could always use the top piece from the second pallet for you compost bays 😁
👍Great job on the table, just discovered your channel yesterday. In USA I've found the pallets here haven't got any large 'blocks' as yours do, ours seem of inferior quality compared to yours.
Go to a lumber yard or where they order roofing shingles on pallets. One of the local lumber yard in my small town always has them with the thick spacers... and they are free. Check Facebook Marketplace, too. People are always giving them away. They exist here in the USA... just have to look for them.
I'm a male and I dont know why the expectation is that a man should be able to do that. I can't?!!!.. ...but with the help of your videos, I feel like I can do this too now - hahaha. YOU'RE "DA MAN"!
I’m new to the idea of using pallet wood and love this idea! If I’m going to use this in an outside space, exposed to the elements, should I paint it, seal it, or ??? (I’m not a fan of the Yakisugi charred wood look; it always makes me want to wipe it off!)
hi t you must have went out after making this video look nice well its a sunny sunday here an i"m watching an cutting beans to get ready to can more have a good day
Good instructions Tanya. Suggest you run a sander over the finished potting bench. No chance of getting splinters then.
Fantastic! And I love the cat cameos.
There were more, but I couldn't let those rascals steal the show 😆💚
Hi Tanya!
Great job, recycling at it's best.
I made it! Awesome design. I used 3 75mm screws in each join and it’s so solid it didn’t need bracing! ❤
Well done, Karen!
Thank you, Tanya, for the fabulous instructions with precise measurements. Best of luck with the Channel
My pleasure and thank you 💚🙂
Nice! Great job at refurbishing items!
Another winner. I would put the spare planks diagonally across the back and sides to stop it racking. Evolution not revolution as they say. 👍

Very nice!

Fab useful up-cycling project Tanya and delighted to see the greenhouse is being so well used xx
Am loving your potting bench - think I will be making one as it looks so easy. Keep these projects coming.
It's very easy :) plus practically free!
Thank you for sharing.
Be well and be safe.
Peace

Is there anything that couldn't be made with pallets? 😆 Thanks David and hope the build goes well!
Very nice! I'll have to start cutting up some pallets. i'm gonna need tables for my future green house.
You could probably build a greenhouse with pallets :)
@@Lovelygreens the optimistic gardener has built two from pallets, but I’m not that good 😊

Get him on the job :)
Lol! Yaaay! ‘Child labour!’ 😉
Great job!
this is such a clever utilization of pallets. I'm going to make a couple now for my pollytunnel . Cheers!
Wow, this is terrific!
Outstanding TFS!
You're very welcome, Bobbie!
I love the bench, it probably needs some diagonally placed boards to help keep it from wobbling.

Thanks Wende, and my sense of smell is coming back gradually. Happy to share the idea too :)
Excellent video. So easy to understand and answers all my questions! I can do it....
I can’t wait to get started
Absolutely brilliant great idea thanks for sharing love from u.k. x
Thanks so much, Ray!
This Is exactly what I need to do!Thank you so much.
Love this, it gives me so many ideas for building useful things from pallet or scrap wood pieces. Thank you! ☺️
Happy to share the idea, Mary Ann :)
TY!

Great video
This potting bench makes it much easier for you 👍
😆 Tanya, my two dogs are like that when I break out the power tools, too!
Haha! Have to be in the middle of everything 😆
Your bench looks beautiful, great job, Thanks for sharing
Done! Thanks!
Brilliant! 👍
Love your potting bench. I have but not same as yours. Yours is amazing and very beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us
I keep a dustpan and brush in my greenhouse. I use the brush for tamping down potting compost, when sowing seeds in small seed trays. It works well!
Perfect 😅
👍Great job on the table, just discovered your channel yesterday. In USA I've found the pallets here haven't got any large 'blocks' as yours do, ours seem of inferior quality compared to yours.
Interesting. How are the pallets in your area constructed? A smaller block?

I'm wanting you to do a hair tutorial, I love your hair!
Thanks Melanie :)
Hello 🤗😃🍀🌹
Muito bom
I’m needing me a bench, having seed flats on the ground takes up a lot of room.
