    As someone who had a $70k income in my early 20’s and did choose to leave school because I already had a good job… I worked in that field for 4 years before deciding it wasn’t for me. Then went back to school to finish. Stay in school. You never know how you’ll feel in the future about a job, but you’ll always have the degree.

    Because you have a system that works for you and you have a solid ritual of writting everything down, have you considered keeping the written budgeting system, but keeping the cash in those sinking funds in a high yield savings account? Some of them have as much as 5% interest. I'm new here so I don't want to sound like I'm criticizing. Let your money work for you!

      @amyslifestyleandbudget yeah, the interest is calculated monthly. So even if there was $1000 in it one month and $500 the next (because of needing tires for example) that's still a couple of extra bucks ya know? It could replace your 'gifts' category and now you have that $20 to put elsewhere.
      I'm in Canada so I cannot recommend a specific bank or credit union but there are plenty of options. Some even have sign up bonuses!
