I knew 2 Nile songs , this and lashed, when I first saw them live - and I was like there is no way they'd play such a long song live. They did and I went home and bought every single album - been a huge fan ever since \M/
Hang in there my little Metal dude! They’ll be around for awhile. Look for Metal venues that allow under Ager’s. I took my son to his first gig when he was 14!!
First time I heard this song my best friend showed it to me while he was working at a Radio Shack. Yeah Radio Shack was still open. I loved the beginning of the song but at the time I dont think I was really into metal. Now I don't listen to anything but.
I just saw the thumbnail of this video and thought: "hey, that's probably the show they played in NOLA!" ...and it is. lol This was actually the first metal show I went to! Shame there were so few people.
Unas hath taken possession Of the hearts of the gods Unas feedeth on their entrails He hath gorged on their unuttered sacred words He hath assimilated the wisdom of the gods His existence is everlasting Behold the souls of the gods are in Unas Their spirits are in Unas The flame of Unas is in their bones Their shadows are with their forms Unas is rising Hidden hidden
I heard it on the old music choice premium cable channel. Must’ve beenn2002 or 3 because I was married then. Found a lot of bands I love through that channel.
@ExerciseNFreedom that's when I heard it. It had just came out. People thinking it was Pete on drums cause they actually credited him when it was Tony.
Idk who is who but the drummer is what piqued my interest. My musical taste was very close minded back then. If it wasn’t Metallica, Pantera, megadeth or similar I wasn’t interested, so I had never heard a blast beat until I heard this song.

This was an “all ages” show. Lol
When you make it to a Nile show, be sure to wear earplugs. Your older self will thank you.

Unas hath taken possession
Of the hearts of the gods
Unas feedeth on their entrails
He hath gorged on their unuttered sacred words
He hath assimilated the wisdom of the gods
His existence is everlasting
Behold the souls of the gods are in Unas
Their spirits are in Unas
The flame of Unas is in their bones
Their shadows are with their forms
Unas is rising
Hidden hidden
