I'm not sure what is happening in this scene 'cause I haven't seen this episode yet, but I'll address the situation with Owen and Teddy to the point I'll watch: Teddy did a very bad thing, based on a bad feeling that Owen could be the father of Emilia's unborn baby, nothing more. For that, she deserves to receive the anger of Owen when he will find out, and probably break up or take a break from the relationship (which will be more complicated with the children). But Owen also had history of bad romantic choices, from breaking up with his fiance in the army by a text message, to cheating Cristina, and of course the latest shenanigans with Emilia, Teddy and the cursed children. He didn't do anything wrong this time, and was finally seemingly ready to commit for good- but it would seem pretty hypocritical of him to not allow Teddy the same forgiveness that he eventually got, after the appropriate time if she will truly figure out what she wants and earn his forgiveness. Which is yet to be seen. I had a feeling this season that they are trying to take us to a polyamorous relationship storyline for quite awhile now- and if I understand this out of context scene here correctly, it's the direction. While I applaud the writers for giving room to introduce such relationship, I think they did it all wrong, with cheating, lies, etc. I really don't think Owen or Tom will be up for a throuple, if that is what Teddy wants.
@@raephaelemasirnille5794 I didn't say that at all, I'm saying Teddy doing something bad doesnt absolve Owen from any confused things he has done. rumer ford I don’t believe he knows in fact I don’t believe anyone in her life currently knows that she is bisexual from what we know he is under the impression that Allison was simply a close friend and nothing more
I do know that he knows she is the reason why Teddy enlisted. They were bestfriends before they got together so she might have mentioned it to him as well but we might never know. These writes seem to forget storylines that already happened and re write them to fit new ones that fit their narrative.
I don't think he knows. While he was still with Christina she mentioned to him that she had always loved him, always waited for him and will always love him. So while loving and waiting for Owen she was loving Allison also.
Guys PLEASE be happy for Teddy! She's finally getting the development she deserves!!! She's been an major character for many seasons and had no back story, now we are able to see her story from a new angle and I hope she gets more and more recognition! Done with her story always being about being attached to a men, she deserves to shine by her own!!!!! 💥
Atleast someone see the potential! Everyone just quick to write her off. the characters on this show are flawed but people forgive them and root for their growth. Teddy does this wrong thing and its let's get rid of her. I say no, I want to see her grow. We got an arc on Owen why cant we do the same for her?!
I think the writers should have Teddy to start flying around like superman or be able to perform magic like Harry Potter since they are just pulling stuff out of their butts now. All the years we have known teddy we are supposed to believe she is bisexual and it NEVER came up before?
@@raephaelemasirnille5794 my thing is when she told Owen cheating would ruin their relationship because the guilt does that and she wanted him to remain her favorite person and vice versa I was like yees that's MY Teddy. Learning about Allison would have been like oh that's where she learnt cheating is bad but they showed that right after she cheats on Owen too, dont know where it's going at all, not making sense.
I really don’t like this. Teddy is a very well established character and never, not once, has she shown any inclination toward women. Henry, Owen, Tom. Her love interests have only ever been men and now this. This isn’t anywhere near as bad as what they did to Alex’s character but still, this was just so forced and unnecessary and had absolutely zero sustainance across Teddy’s six or seven seasons as part of the show.
Owen literally went to therapy to get help and he finally got it only for Teddy to cheat on him and knowing Teddy is a serial cheater does not help her case
I think this will be a moment of clarity for Teddy . She is able to reflect by putting herself in Allison's position, loving two people at once . Doing the exact same thing Allison did to Claire . This will help Teddy be honest to herself and fair to others, eventually leading to her doing the right thing . Telling Owen is her number one priority, and she owes it to herself to love someone fully without hesitation . Whether she ends up with Owen or with Tom, she now understands what has to be done and is okay with the consequences . She'll get through it and be a better person . No one's perfect .
I Don't really care for that story line, I'm just pissed that henry obviously wasn't such a big loss for her, and the fact that she made owen name their baby allison for that reason I mean... Uargh
Teddy and Tom work so well for me, they both loved and lost like a lot, they understand each other really well. He did admit cheating one time.. I hope they get together
Wait I though this Allison girl was supposed to be her best friend and Allisons girlfriend and Teddy were friends???? So they’re were just all sleeping with each other ugh what a mess
You can love more than one person, you can't however, use love as an excuse to betray others and stab a knife on their backs because "your love can be divided". Also, kind of pissed off that while trying to represent bisexuality you use the cheater character. Bisexuals are not natural born cheaters, but apparently at some point every character that is bisexual HAS to be one. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
I don't think teddy is bisexual. I think in that situation she just fell for allison. There's a difference between being bi and falling for a person whether male or female. It could be that allison was just special.
But Callie was(is??) bi and she never cheated her lovers always cheated on her. I agree with you is not okay that they show Teddy like that I hope they fix it in some way 🙄
Well it's Grey's drama. My ex was a bi-man and he never cheated... My friend who's bi married my other friend and she never did either. The stigma of bisexual born cheaters should not be. They have the luxury of not being put off by gender but they fall in love the same way the rest of us do. Their monogamy should not be put in question just because of their sexuality. I personally think the fears entertain by this stigmazation is nothing more than one's own ability to cope with a monogamous relationship themselves. Food for thought!
lets not forget that callie despite being bi never cheated, but were cheated on by her straight spouse (rip george) and how Richard and Ellis both cheated on their spouses despite being straight, or how Arizona cheated on her spouse even though she was gay. Shonda is showing that sexuality doesn't matter when it comes to cheaters, and anyone, no matter their sexuality, have the ability to cheat. Just because Teddy is bi and is a cheater doesn't mean Shonda is being homophobic otherwise she would've made Nico and Callie cheat too, and the whole Ellis and Richard scenario wouldn't have ever happened.
I don't really mind Teddy being bi, but i was fine with her joining the army after Allison's death just because she was her best friend, nother lover Also, this makes you want to hate Teddy, because now the affair she just had isn't a "i think i'm in love with them both" and it's more of an "old bad habit"
Negative of course now they make her bi for another love triangle. So over this show. Alex’s leaving was the last full episode I watched. Rip greys anatomy 2020.
I don’t like that they suddenly decided to write her as bi at the same time as they decided to give her a history of cheating. They’re playing out the bisexuals will have sex with anyone trope where bi people are written as sleeping around.
This Teddy plot twist literally had my head spinning. But I kinda like where they took it tbh I haven't loved Teddy this season with all her shenanigans but this plot twist had me glued to the episode! Plus Sherri Saum is awesome!
This episode actually made me interested in Teddy as a character. Not just cuz she had a gf but cuz I’m getting a feel for who she is, and what she’s about. I kinda dig it
I have lost all respect for Teddy these past few episodes. I want Owen to get custody of their daughter and I want her to go back to Germany and never come back.
I don't understand why people are throwing this bisexual label out there and saying it is odd how she had lesbian friends and never showed an attraction to woman. You do understand that for her to be with Alison in no way makes her bisexual or a lesbian? People really are so quick to put labels and box and categorize! That's not how it works. People can simply just become attracted to someone based on who they are and find sexual stimulation based on that as well. Pansexual if you must, but i think it is obvious that Teddy is attracted to and falls for those who display the characteristics she desires, those who love her, regardless of their gender. So this back story is not odd to say the least. In gives her so much depth. She's a great actress and I always felt they underutilized her. Same with Maggie who I could not stand. But for once they're giving them the character development they need which is what Grey's was always superb at.
I loved the fact that teddy was the kind of person and friend who joins army to honor her best friend. No. She did it to honor an inappropriate affair. They just keep ruining everything
wow I swear in these comments people don't make mistakes, self sabotage or let insecurities take control at times . y'all are soooo perfect that you can make decisions without confusion in your heart. The purpose of this arc of the episode was to show teddy's insecurities are there years now ...and only got worst after years of Owen choosing other women over her. How is someone supposed to heal after that. Tom has been her strong hold and a safety net for her ....yes she does love him, the only difference is that Owen is the passionate love and Tom is the safe happy love. GET OVER YOURSELVES! LET HER FIGURE HERSELF OUT
Unpopular opinion: I’m really enjoying Teddy’s storyline. She was sleeping with Alison for months, which means she’s capable of keeping a ginormous secret for a long time. Even twenty years later, she still tried to keep her secret. I think that’s so interesting to know that
I'm sorry but this is so unnecessary. There is no need for Teddy to have a big backstory about having an previous affair. It's pretty obvious why she cheated. Owen, a man she has loved for over a decade has never chosen her of his own volition. He consistently has chosen other women. Teddy is really just the last one left and even with two kids and a shared home, he STILL hesitates to go all in with her. She cheated on Owen because at the end of the day she doesn't trust him and Tom has been 100% honest and all in with her from Day 1. Please writers, focus on the drama you've already sown into the characters over 11 years. It's enough to know that Alison was her best friend and she honours her with as her daughter's namesake. No need to change that narrative just to fit this OOC narrative that suddenly, Teddy is gay and named her and Owen's long awaited child together after her ex-girlfriend who died. Really Krista? Is this really where we're going? Instead of really investigating why Teddy doesn't trust Owen, you make her seem like this is just something she does? BUT NOT OWEN?! FFS.
What is written out of character is Owen choosing Teddy. It’s not like they had this love affair. They were friends that bonded dealing with the war. Owen was never in love with Teddy, it was unrequited love on Teddy’s part. Owen loved 2 women Christina and Amelia. The only times he was with Teddy because people were telling him that he was in love with Teddy, first Amelia then Megan. Then the writers decided oh yeah Owen is in love with Teddy. Owen has made mistakes but I am so over this crap that he was playing games with Teddy because they were never in a relationship. Teddy cheated because she was always impulsive like when she married Henry. It’s not that she doesn’t trust Owen, it’s that she doesn’t trust herself.
@@tarshabee20 EXACTLY THANK YOU. Last season even Teddy said she and Owen were just really close friends but she and Tom were something more. I think she can mistrust Owen AND herself at the same time. She thought she was in love with Owen all this time and like you said, he only chooses her when people push him to that decision. Never of his own volition. Teddy was faced with yet another situation where Owen might not choose her and she impulsively went back to a guy who always chooses her. Someone she could trust. Acting like Teddy is just a cheater, let alone a BI cheater, is just so frustrating. There are real cracks in her relationship with Owen and I really don't understand why they are writing it like this..
Beth Darvell this crap started when they had Amelia tell him that he loved Teddy because he never looked at her that way. If she said Christina then okay but not Teddy. Even when he found out Teddy was pregnant, he still wanted Amelia (don’t get me started on her) then they broke up then his sister drilling it in his hands, he always wanted Teddy. No he didn’t. I don’t even care about the BI thing. I had more of a problem with her making decisions on assumptions and dragging Tom in her crap knowing she broke his heart and he’s in love with her. Owen didn’t have Teddy in a triangle contrary to some people’s beliefs
@@tarshabee20 The Bi thing is irrelevant to me too... I agree with you about all of this. Owen just has never chosen teddy and their whole relationship is BS. It was also RESOLVED LAST SEASON. Amelia had Link, Teddy had Tom, Owen and teddy were each other's platonic "person" and Owen was finally a father. It's honestly insulting IMO how long they've dragged this out. The writers have forced these characters into a love pentagon that really didn't exist for the actual characters. It was fine the way it was. Teddy IS impulsive and I really hate that this is how she treats Tom who has been nothing but wonderful to her. She's done him dirty by making it an affair. But I also hate how "perfect" they are trying to make teddy and Owen. It just feels so forced. Like everything interesting about their dynamic just disappeared when they got together and now Teddy's sexuality is a literal plot device? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? At least Amelia and Link are Owen-free and can just be a family.
I really don't know if the writers know what to do with Teddy anymore... Ever since she came back this time, her storyline has been all over the place. I think it's time for her to leave again. Just have her and Tom run off together or something, it'd make more sense then what's been going on with her...
Just something I noticed while currently rewatching the series Allison was mentioned as teddy’s best friend who died in the second tower on her very first episode which leads me to believe there is a possibility this was always meant to be a storyline but they took too long to do it 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
Teddy and Owen's storyline should have been about this. Growth and forgiveness and finding love at the end of it all. I don't understand the reasoning behind making her cheat on Owen. It destroyed the narrative imho.
@@mariemarie6142 I think the correct label for Teddy would be Bisexual. And Allison was someone the short haired woman was dating. Allison then moved Teddy into their apartment under the terms of a "roommate" aka she moved the side chick in with the main chick. Allison then died in 911 and was the reason for Teddy enlisting in the Army and the namesake of her daughter. It's a really confusing and random storyline!
if she dates tom, i can see that being her endgame and all this behavior now and in the past can stop. owen and teddy are toxic for each other in their own ways. i don't see that relationship sticking
I've always disliked Teddy because it seemed to me she only wanted Owen when he was with Amelia or Christina and then she was with Tom and decided she's in love with Owen, now she does this
Why didn't I see this coming? Teddy's bi...I see you, writers. As far as the affair, people do things in combat to cope and find connection, so I don't fault her for that. Unrelated, but I'm pretty sure the woman playing Claire, is the same woman who played Babs on The Bold Type.
Why does Teddy continuously go after men and women who are taken. She is always having affairs and getting involved in love triangles. I did not picture Teddy having a romantic past with Allison.
I'm so glad we got to see Teddy's backstory and finally away from Owen. This was a great scene for Teddy. I really wish that in the end she'll leave Owen and get back together with Tom. I like him better for Teddy.
Why bring Teddy back to the show to make the fans hate the character writing shit storylines. That makes me so angry ‘cause Teddy was a character that I really loved
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Teddy named her daughter after her dead girlfriend. Who does that? It's so weird to me. I absolutely loved Teddy and Owen's relationship as friends and as partners, but then she and Tom (and apparently Allsion) happened. Teddy lost pretty much all of my respect as a girlfriend/fiancee/wife/partner. She's a good doctor and a good mother, but she really screwed Owen, and herself, if I'm being honest. They were good together. There is no way in hell Owen knows that Teddy and Allison were together. He's way too traditional to have his daughter named after his girlfriend's ex girlfriend, not that I'd blame him.
I guess Teddy hasn't learned a thing from her affair with Allison, since she ended up cheating on Owen with Tom. I remember when Teddy had high morals, and wouldn't let Owen cheat on Amelia with her.
Nope, I adore her and always will. This is just making her character better to me, I love people with damage who've made mistakes and try to be better but don't always succeed 🥰🙌🏻 plus I swear I've said from DAY ONE that I felt Teddy could be bisexual. 😌😏
So does Owen know that his daughter with Teddy is named after an ex girlfriend? Awkward... This was such a left field story line. There was no indication that was the case in any seasons. Why is it only Mer gets a great love story?
What is teddy now I liked the teddy who was best friends with Owen and was with Henry and didn’t cheat. Teddy cheated on owen (her best friend) teddy also cheated with Alison and Claire was her best friend. Teddy needs to find her partner not owen,Tom or anyone else she should remember Henry more

I do like the point you raise here though, most of the characters on GA are flawed but only a few get the hate. Watch how people are hating on Teddy, more people believed in Crowen(I think is the ship name) then Omelia and always hated Teddy for being Owen's person she always got hate for that now this?
Wonder if Owen knows Teddy and Allison’s history considering they named their daughter (Allison) after her?
rumer ford I don’t believe he knows in fact I don’t believe anyone in her life currently knows that she is bisexual from what we know he is under the impression that Allison was simply a close friend and nothing more
I do know that he knows she is the reason why Teddy enlisted.
@@jocelynmaaji9051 Allison died b4 she meet Owen. She met him when she enlisted
He knew Allison was her best friend that died in the twin tower but that was it. They never explained anymore backstory until now.
This ain't the type of development that makes teddy look good tho... but you right
I think the writers should have Teddy to start flying around like superman or be able to perform magic like Harry Potter since they are just pulling stuff out of their butts now.
@I scream I get what you are saying but she was always hated and she was never given a chance now this?
I’m over Teddy and her storyline. Next! 🗣
While I liked Sherri Saum's character and her scenes with Teddy, this is not helping Teddy's character in any way.
MillionSuns I know, it took me back to Stef and Lena from the Fosters mostly cause it was the same actress
It's explaining why Teddy is doing what she is doing
MillionSuns I agree, she’s quickly becoming unlikeable because how she treats people
Once a cheater always a cheater
I really don’t like this. Teddy is a very well established character and never, not once, has she shown any inclination toward women. Henry, Owen, Tom. Her love interests have only ever been men and now this. This isn’t anywhere near as bad as what they did to Alex’s character but still, this was just so forced and unnecessary and had absolutely zero sustainance across Teddy’s six or seven seasons as part of the show.
I totally agree
Owen literally went to therapy to get help and he finally got it only for Teddy to cheat on him and knowing Teddy is a serial cheater does not help her case
These writers don't know what to do anymore. This whole season is garbage.
Yep!
I disagree I think it’s starting to pick up again
Uargh
Imagine finding out that your daughter is named after an ex!!!
Ahem... not just an ex, someone she loved very much and who died. It’s not like that person is still alive.
An ex she said she doesn't love Owen half as much as she loved Alison
Owen did found out lmaoo
@@sruthi1712 that’s why they said imagine
Teddy and Tom work so well for me, they both loved and lost like a lot, they understand each other really well. He did admit cheating one time.. I hope they get together
This entire episode confused me so much
Gosh I loved Teddy so much and was happy she came back, but does anyone remember season 7 Teddy?? Can we get her back please and thank you
ps I don't care what anyone says but I'm telling you, the biggest mistake the grey's writers made was killing Henry off I miss them so much!
Omg I loved Tedsy so much, her and Cristina always made me laugh. This Teddy seems a completly different person
Wait I though this Allison girl was supposed to be her best friend and Allisons girlfriend and Teddy were friends???? So they’re were just all sleeping with each other ugh what a mess
They wore not all sleeping together, Alison was cheating on her gf with Teddy.
no allison and teddy were sleeping (together), while teddy's friend and Allison were dating. Teddy was the side chick in their relationship
I agree with you is not okay that they show Teddy like that I hope they fix it in some way 🙄
U can love more than on but u can’t be in love with more the one person. And u can’t love them the same way
Well it's Grey's drama.
I don't really mind Teddy being bi, but i was fine with her joining the army after Allison's death just because she was her best friend, nother lover
Also, this makes you want to hate Teddy, because now the affair she just had isn't a "i think i'm in love with them both" and it's more of an "old bad habit"
You mean she could be in love with Allison?
Henry was forgotten, just like that... How sad.
This episode actually made me interested in Teddy as a character. Not just cuz she had a gf but cuz I’m getting a feel for who she is, and what she’s about. I kinda dig it
I didn't see any of this coming, but Teddy at least showed me she has chemistry with everyone except Owen.
I have lost all respect for Teddy these past few episodes. I want Owen to get custody of their daughter and I want her to go back to Germany and never come back.
She cheated so she deserves to lose custody of her daughter?
Not extreme at all...
I love doctor teddy and doctor owen and doctor Henry they are all very beautiful 💜💜💜💜💜
Teddy’s background story is amazing!!!
WAIT WHAT? I think I can speak for everyone and say I never saw this coming. 🤭
haven't enjoyed a grey's episode since ages. this one was nice af
LET HER FIGURE HERSELF OUT
this is the only time I found teddy actually interesting and not annoying or irritating like she's always been
Unpopular opinion: I’m really enjoying Teddy’s storyline.
FFS.
THIS!👏👏👏 thank you!
Her apology about being selfish, lying, and betrayals doesn’t mean shit if she’s now doing the same thing to both Owen and Tom
Just something I noticed while currently rewatching the series Allison was mentioned as teddy’s best friend who died in the second tower on her very first episode which leads me to believe there is a possibility this was always meant to be a storyline but they took too long to do it 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
I noticed it too
At least it was these two - I'm sure when Greg Germann played Richard in Ally McBeal (He plays Koracick) at one point had the catchphrase "bygones"
hahahah
This storyline literally just makes Teddy worse 🙄
"Once a cheater always a cheater"- Rachel Green
Honestly teddy having an affair with that girl shocked me sooo much like I had no words and I’m thinking she has done this before Lordt
Don’t like Teddy Never have and Never will.
She’s pathetic, always going after someone’s significant.
I feel like we could be good friends.
same here
Miss_christie1217 I swearrrrrr
Teddy and Owen's storyline should have been about this. Growth and forgiveness and finding love at the end of it all. I don't understand the reasoning behind making her cheat on Owen. It destroyed the narrative imho.
I am surprised people haven't found a way to blame this on Maggie too?
I was hoping teddy had a good back story, Loved her chemistry with Allison.
Ok teddy is a cheater from day one.... ok thats new once a cheater always a
Cheater then
Forgive me but Teddy turned gay? Who is Allison?
@@mariemarie6142 I think the correct label for Teddy would be Bisexual. And Allison was someone the short haired woman was dating. Allison then moved Teddy into their apartment under the terms of a "roommate" aka she moved the side chick in with the main chick. Allison then died in 911 and was the reason for Teddy enlisting in the Army and the namesake of her daughter. It's a really confusing and random storyline!
Oh Teddy never a dull moment with you....I thought they named the baby allison because that's Owens mother name.....
That was one of the most heartbreaking story of Grey's Anatomy
if she dates tom, i can see that being her endgame and all this behavior now and in the past can stop. owen and teddy are toxic for each other in their own ways. i don't see that relationship sticking
Teddy just out here cheating and being the side chick
This scene is hard to watch because as much as she's a good actress, it sounds like Kim Raver can't believe the sh*t they're making her say
I JUST LOVE TEDDY SOO MUCH!😭😭😭❤️
Maybe, just maybe...this is all leading to the return of Christine, for Owen?
This lady is way confused, and she confuses ME! I hope Owen dumps her, Tom also.
So, Teddy has always been trash? Oh, okay.
Ik everyone is going to hate me for this but teddy is honestly my favorite
I've always disliked Teddy because it seemed to me she only wanted Owen when he was with Amelia or Christina and then she was with Tom and decided she's in love with Owen, now she does this
Does Krista Vernoff loves or hate Teddy character? But seriously.. I rather see her with Tom instead with Owen
Wait. there was a love triangle between Teddy , Allison, and this Claire?
Well done writers.
Derek's ex-wife is Addison. :-)
Cheater always become a ????
Just...follow the Story !!!
Why didn't I see this coming? Teddy's bi...I see you, writers. As far as the affair, people do things in combat to cope and find connection, so I don't fault her for that. Unrelated, but I'm pretty sure the woman playing Claire, is the same woman who played Babs on The Bold Type.
I hope Teddy stays with Owen. Them breaking up after all would just be too much even after this reveal
Why does Teddy continuously go after men and women who are taken. She is always having affairs and getting involved in love triangles. I did not picture Teddy having a romantic past with Allison.
Always knew Teddy liked the bun more than the sausage 💀
I'm so glad we got to see Teddy's backstory and finally away from Owen. This was a great scene for Teddy. I really wish that in the end she'll leave Owen and get back together with Tom. I like him better for Teddy.
I also love how Tom says something about sleeping with a married woman yet he did it twice
She's not married.
@@jo-annarivera9999 either that or engaged I forgot
Teddy loves having / beining in triangles .
She is not the only one Teddy should apologize to
So then what the FUCK did she feel toward Henry?? Her HUSBAND🙄
Explains it all! NOW I understand my minor crush on Major Altman.
but cheating on Owen with zero remorse is totally okay
I guess Teddy hasn't learned a thing from her affair with Allison, since she ended up cheating on Owen with Tom. I remember when Teddy had high morals, and wouldn't let Owen cheat on Amelia with her.
I think ga writers forgot that...
Thankfully Tom and Owen are not friends
@@johnitaman4093 But Owen will eventually find out, and it won't be from Teddy.
@@msfriendsfan4ever788 I think after her experience with her friend, she would go on to tell Owen and apologise to him too

Nope, I have always loved Teddy and Kim Raver.
Nope, I sticking with her!
Wow. Comment from another cheater. Of course all the cheaters are gono gather here to feel better about been a hard core cheat
Teddy needs to find her partner not owen,Tom or anyone else she should remember Henry more
I feel like they ruined Teddy’s story line. But I like her.
Teddy and Owen get back together
Wait is Allison the one who died in the twin tower who Teddy has birds on her scub cap for?
Yup
Sooo teddy is bisexual and has affairs...that was outta left field. I truly thought her and Owen were soul mates
Does anyone know the name of the song playing in the background?

Teddy should be in a relationship with Carina or , this would be cool , Maggie!!!
Carina is with Maya the firefighter though, but I'm not so sure it will last
Maggie is totally straight (even thought I thought Teddy was straight to lol) and I liked her with that other guy
Geez...Teddy is a habitual cheater. When will Owen find happiness?
