It’s a beautiful rose park, this was a good recommendation. I like to mulch in my garden it protects my roses from the soil drying out with the constant winds and heat. French lace is a beauty with the cute ruffles, I would like a white rose that is not always covered in powdery mildew and that one looked healthy. Thank you so much for the tour gives me ideas of healthy varieties in California and places to visit. Bliss rose is a healthy, blooming super star in California she is my favorite.
Oh YAY! You have Bliss~ I am so glad that she is doing well for you. She is my FAV! I hope you are able to visit LA Expo so that you can see French Lace in person. She was really pretty!
Thank you so much for this video! I have a rose that we transplanted from my late father in law’s house that didn’t look like it was going to make it and is now thriving. I was never able to identify despite pouring over hundreds of red roses in help me find and posting pictures online. I am now almost certain she is Mikado! Everything matches!
Thank you for posting these tours. Many new to me varieties that I've not seen here in the UK. Hopefully I will get a chance to visit in August this year.
When you started walking over to the rainbow knock outs I thought oh my goodness that foliage is such a distinct beautiful silver color! Then you mentioned the powdery mildew lol
Thank you for a wonderful video! I was really on the fence with French Lace but now I definitely gotta have one. My Gold Glow went through a terrible bout of black spot and powdery mildew that it just stopped producing any buds. I thought it was a goner. A few months passed and all of a sudden it's just alive producing blooms again. Amazing how they take care of themselves like that. Sometimes they just have to heal on their own without sprays.
Hi Kimberley, thank you for sharing this video of this beautiful garden of roses. There were several roses in there that I loved. Sterling silver, Elle, Oklahoma , New Zealand all looked stunning. 😎
So many gorgeous blooms! I bought another Boop from a different seller, and it’s definitely not the same rose as the first one I got. It was a relief to see that Proud Land just is kinda sparse. I’ve been trying to figure out what to do for it. I LOVE the varieties with red leaves. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a rose that keeps its leaves red all season! I very much recommend Raspberry Rugostar. Great rose!
I think that the roses just go nuts with the climate and they love it. They may not also have the volunteers to cut by a 1/3 after each flush. Thank you for watching.
We go to the museums there very often and we always eat lunch in the garden surrounded by roses.
This was my childhood till I moved to Florida. California vibe is so much better.
I am green with envy. It must be spectacular in full bloom.

Raspberry Rugostar caught my eye also! You will have to send me your photos this season. I would love to see a full grown shrub and see the habit.
Спасибо Вам за позитив.

Please come Portland rose garden in Oregon this summer. ☺️
I need to! What month is your estimate for peak bloom?
Just wondering whether we would see the peak blossom in the early April:) I am planning to visit it this Friday.
Oh, please tell me how it looks. I am thiking that peak is the 2-3rd week in April.
I visited it last Friday, but there were only several clusters of flowers blooming:( Planning to visit there again in mid-May. @@TheRoseGeek
What time does it close? Can people still wander inside the park @7pm?
It looks like it is open until dusk each day. I hope you are able to visit.

why are these roses so tall? Do they prune them differently in California because of the climate?
I think that the roses just go nuts with the climate and they love it. They may not also have the volunteers to cut by a 1/3 after each flush. Thank you for watching.
@@TheRoseGeek some of those canes look old and woody though as if they were left intentionally during the winter pruning. Of course I might be wrong.
