Kimberley I am sorry for your loss of your husband Ken. It is so sad how you both were let down by the medical and legal systems. I pray for you and your family for healing. Mental health is still a stigma for all of us. It should not be that way. You are shunned by ignorant people who don't understand mental health crisis.

I am so, so sorry for your losses. My son took his own life 2.5 years ago, and I am just now able to work in the garden. When I garden I think-and those thoughts were so hard and sad I couldn't do it. Be kind to yourself, and get back to the garden when you are ready.
I can't imagine how hard it was for you to lose a child. I am so glad that you gave yourself time to heal and are now able to get back into the garden.

Kimberly, my heart breaks for you. So many challenges in one year and so much heartbreak. My eldest suffered from Bipolar and it is a deadly disease. It grew too much for him and he also took his own life. As a result, his younger brother battles his own mental health issues. It is a family disease. We are 14 years and still I grieve. There is also gratitude for the time he was with us and the lessons we learned. The stigma and lack of concern about mental illness is shocking. It sounds like you have many fond memories to find comfort in as well as your roses. Know you have the support and caring of this community.
It takes such a brave soul to share your story. The grief never really goes away it just changes because the burden has been shared. Much love and healing to you.

I understand what your going through. My cousin found out the same diagnosis and went on medication and later overdosed. I can’t tell you how sad I’m for you. It’s not going to be easy, especially after losing someone. Being in the garden and keeping busy helps over time. It doesn’t go away,but but it gets easier. There will be tears here and there, but the beautiful memories you shared will become your savior. Having a family and friends support will help you some. Just keep busy. Ignore anyone who doesn’t help you through this tragedy, including your neighbors, if any. Whenever you want to cry, remember the blessings you had together. I know you won’t want to be in the garden or do anything, but push yourself. He believed in you and loved you-remember!

I am fairly new to your channel but have learned so much from you. You are in a climate very similar to mine, so I pay close attention to how your roses are growing. I have bought a lot of your favorites. I wish that I lived near you. I would come and do your weeding for you and help in any way with the grunt work, so that you could just enjoy the fun work. Kimberly, I am so sorry for your loss and I can't imagine you have gone through such a hard time. You don't know me, but I want to tell you that without you, I wouldn't have the confidence to start my garden. I made notes of your video and I learned how to create Rose spreadsheet from you. Your smile stopped my tears, and I am so grateful you still trust in God, and you decided to return to your beautiful garden. Best of all, you have two cute puppies with you now. I trust He will guide you through. "He has made everything beautiful in his time". I will pray for you.

So, so hard! Sending you the warmest hugs! I know God will give you the strength you need, when you need it! My garden was put in to share with my parents and when they passed, I could not go out into my garden either. But God was really good and gave me a new gardener to mentor and share with...allowing me to get back into my garden.

I've been following your videos for a year now and you are such a wonderful and remarkable person, I'm so so sorry. I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling right now, thank you so much for sharing this story with us. As someone with a lot of very close family members who have their own challenges with mental health, I'm so incredibly heartbroken that you were both let down so badly by the health system after already the heart break of losing Dolores and the fire. You are such a light and speak of Ken with so much love, and understanding of his mental health, I can tell how much in love you both were and how wonderfully supportive you are of him. This video will surely have an impact on a lot of people, and as someone who takes medication for ADHD and a partner who also medicates, this is a huge reminder to always double check on what we are being told and given from health professionals. I cried with you, deeply. I cannot...even...imagine...the multiple feelings you are dealing with. It's hard to know how to comfort someone when they lose a family member. When I lost my Dad 24 years ago, I felt like part of me had died. No one could comfort me for quite a while. But my Lord got me through it and reminded me of what is now and what is soon to come. My prayers are so with you. I hope you surround yourself with family and friends during this time of sadness, because that's what I wish I had done more of. God is with you and your family and I hope and pray you someday can hold those doctors accountable. You are a very strong woman.

All I know is I have dealt with my father having bipolar and manic depression and the things he’s done. It isn’t easy… and you wear your hurt so well… I just cannot imagine…. I wish I could come weed your garden and just hug you.
I've watched a lot of your videos and they have helped me with my rose garden. You have to move on. You have a lot of good qualities, and a lot to give. And it sounds like you're doing that. Good luck.
So sorry for the loss of your dear husband, Kimberly. You are right when you say" no one know how if feels until they walk in those shoes" I can only imagine the pain and sadness you feel but I thank God for giving you the strength to share this heartbreaking story . I pray for continued strength for you and your loved ones. May the soul of Ken continue to rest with God.

I am so very sorry Kimberly. I cannot imagine the immense pain and grief you are feeling right now. My garden has been my healing place too it was where i sought solace and healing after my losses. It will do what it is intended when you finally get back

You are so incredibly brave to share this. I'm so sorry to hear of the great suffering you've experienced, and that of your husband. I find it incredulous that people who are struggling with their mental health are victimised instead of being shown compassion and treated appropriately by the relevant authorities. Oh, that's shocking. Love and greetings from Germany. Yes, you need your time for heeling. Personally I lost my man and property in a house fire 2013. Just rescued my life and 3 dogs running out of the burning house.
Beeing homeless for 5 months, depression, anxiety, guilt...
Now I started my own plant production as a graduated biologist and professional gardener and have a side job in my local nursery.
