"be who you want to be - but always loving each other, respecting each other" - wise words Chef Andrés, wise words indeeed
Oui Chef
Love, love love Jose. The world needs more people like him.
You can tell Jose is drunk with passion for his art of cooking…
He’s so wonderful!
I don't think all of it is passion
@@universalheartstring *and sherry
@@danr.5017 No no, he specifically said, "this way you don't get drunk."
Maybe, definitely drunk.
I love Jose Andres and his passion for cooking. I remember Anthony Bourdain's episode with Jose Andres. He kinda reminds me of a Spanish Paul Prudhomme, same passion, same enthusiasm in explaining things to you.
Working for him was really awesome! Best chef ever!❤️🤟🏼
Dude, that's pure awesomeness!
💪😎👍
OMG! You must have some fantastic stories!
"A man’s character is most evident by how he treats those who are not in a position either to retaliate or reciprocate."
― Paul Eldridge
"There is no joy equal to that of being able to work for all humanity and doing what you're doing well."
― R. Buckminster Fuller, Critical Path
"Love is not affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person's ultimate good as far as it can be obtained."
― C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves
I can 100% get behind red snapper as a turkey substitute!
Done with Turkey I cook snapper every year 👍🏾
Escovech or baked!
SAME!! No more dusty turkey.
Chef Jose has a very big heart .
It's from excessive drinking. It's a real problem. 🍸🍺🥂🥃🍻🍹🍷🍾
This was amazing! So glad you invited such an amazing person to the show!!
How does Jose Andres get more handsome every year! Always a pleasure.
That's easy. With every passing year, his kindheartedness and joy and character shine out more. Same reason other people get uglier every year.
"Sea Turkey" 🤣🤣🤣
Chef Jose Andres is a great American.
That’s because he was born and raised in Spain before becoming an American as an adult.
The most delightful chaos.
Jose is so beautiful, inside and out!
The salt is in the outside!❤️❤️❤️
I love Chef José so much!!!!!
such an amazing man, i love him so much. such a good human being.. Stephen's not bad either
The wine came to party lol
I adore Chef José!
He’s a great man!
Chef Jose is way too introverted; he really needs to come out of his shell.
Hahaha!
I can't cook a turkey for my life. My traditional Thanksgiving entree is a Raspberry Duck Breast. I serve it with a rainbow root vegetable tart, a mushroom & leek tart, & an asparagus souffle'. Scump-deli-ump-scious!
That sounds perfect.
Can I come over for dinner?
@@Karideplov I'm not cooking this year. I had a heart attack a few months ago & I'm still recovering. If you want the recipes, I can find the website links & post them.
He had Stefan at the words:this is sherry
oh that’s so funny. The way they both fished the Sherry out of the barrel. And then poured it. And then Stephen had more than he had. it’s the funniest stuff. Gosh. .
Excellent episode!
He salted that fish more than I did my driveway and sidewalk
Time for a cold glass of fino. Salud
Whenever I hear the name of that fish, I think of the Wheel of Fish from UHF.
Ok lol that fish preparation looks FOOUULLL :P
Step one, take your station wagon to Costco and buy 3* 40lb bags of kosher salt...
Te Ammo Señor Jose!
Always with great messaging Chef Jose Andres
Caption: "Andaluthia". Oh, I just can't ... 😹😹😹
Great and super easy recipe!!!
I LOVE HIM!!!!!
The fish dish is delious and quick.
Great!!!
Turkey of the sea! It was right there!
Stephen didn't pour it right at all🤣🤣
José must be an awesome lover! All that energy! *growl!*
Colbert is Irish - he's not gonna waste any liquor 😆
Jose is the fucking man.
Finally ✨🙌🏼😅 a Show where no one is a~SALTed ! 😁✌🏼 🐔 🐟
this was great lol
Red snapper! That's a NICE fish!
Wasting wine is a crime😋
Be who you want to be, with smoked salmon, Come To Canada Jose amid mudslides, we're doing pretty good here.
Lifting Our spirits.
When I was stationed at a base in the southwest Pacific we ate red snapper we caught on our time off-duty. We got to feeling really funky within 30 minutes.
The natives told us later that they call the funk.... beepbeep.
The snapper contained neurotoxins stored in the flesh. The fish eat fire coral polyps which contain the toxin. If a you injest too much red snapper in that area, you die. It doesn't take much. Funky.
BTW, Red wine isn't a cure.
Nice to know! Thanks!
Makes me wish that more cooks were paid more and treated better. Maybe more cooks out there would give a damn about what they're doing instead of feeling embittered and used. I'm saying this as a former cook who went into bookkeeping because my last employer wanted cheaper labor, even though I liked my job and coworkers.
I'd do anything to work for world central kitchen.
To follow the logic: I can bake a chicken in salt.
I will let you know.
We need a report!
A turkey! 😆 Ha!
Especially since Thanksgiving is a myth, never actually happened, but rather than making new European traditions, we need to celebrate the Indigenous of this country, & lucky for us, there are different traditions from Native Americans in different places because they had a wide reaching culture.
Celebrating the annihilation of the native Americans again this year? Who’s “woke”
*have
Es una pena que sobreactúe tanto. Creo que estaría mejor si fuera más natural. Neddles yo say this man make me feel proud about been from Spain. Everytime he`s on tv shows something or sais something about us, our traditions, culture...Thank you.
Aquí en los EEUU, ha ganado nuestro respeto...me imagino que en Puerto Rico, el doble...
He's literally entertaining here. If he were not performing, it would be dull. I am sure that if he were actually teaching he would not be so over the top. Different modes
I love red snapper and I cooked it once, using "The Joy of Cooking" cookbook.
If you want to see Jose Andres' creativity, check out the show Hannibal, on which he was the culinary consultant.
Jose: "You like fish you make the fish bake in salt, You like turkey you make the turr......."
My salt budget for the month: Aww...Hell NO!
No one is gonna talk about how this guy got a random $100 million gift from Bezos?
I bet he passed it on. He’s fed so many people.
I still remember years ago when he had his cooking show here in Spanish TV. I never liked him because he wasn't natural. He still isn't natural 😆 But his humanitarian labour compensates it all 🥰
Aún me acuerdo hace años cuando tenía su programa en tv aquí en España. Nunca me gustó porque no me parecía natural. Sigue sin serlo 😅 Pero su labor humanitaria lo compensa todo 🥰
I always loved him. Watching his show was always a treat! As a Hispanic woman, I feel an inordinate amount of pride at sharing a cultural tradition with such a luminary!
Yes it was a excellent PR move
I wish Stephen would invite Remy from MasterChef JR. again
Y'all are a hoot .....
chicken of the sea
Stephen Colbert: Butchering Food Segments since I don't care. He just did it.....
¿Por qué siempre HABLA ASÍ? Me pone nerviosa
I don't feel like buying that much salt, and I don't want to discard that much salt into my midwestern, fresh-water ecosystem.
Looks like a giant waste of salt.
Wow, after seeing the thumbnail from a year ago, Chef is looking good! Lost a few pounds, but not humor. He is awesome.
People on TV are always drinking.
People on the internet are always drinking.
Everyone's an alcoholic.
Only Conan O'Brien had the balls to smoke weed!
😂 ♥️ 🥴 ♥️ 🤪 🤗 🖖🏽 🥂
👏🤣
Seems like an _awfully_ expensive way to cook, though. I mean if you're buying salt in bulks like _this,_ odds are, it's to clear the ice from your driveway.
C'mon, it's not middle ages, is not that expensive!
I suppose you could break it up and use it on the driveway…
Since when do Americans have a diet low in salt? LOL
😉
Suspect
Please don't eat red snapper - they take so long to mature that they can't replace themselves as fast as we eat them.
Curious what sorta hijinks these two were up to right before this segment started. 😅
Listen have you heard this... I am the way, truth & life no one comes to the father (God) except through me.John 14:6 Please believe that Jesus died for your sin & rose again. Then confess your sins to God today! Heaven awaits, dont be left behind. Love Y'all
I do not get, why it is almost always male chefs, who are getting on TV. It is like it is a sensation that some men can cook. Women chefs are hardly never on TV. It is blatant discrimination.
😂😂😂 maybe because male chefs are better

Can people see the number of dislikes on their comments?
Chef Andres provides an incredible service to people victimized by disaster. But the paradox of him utilizing animal agriculture to feed these people when the nature of these catastrophies is in large part due to the horrible climate implications of the animal agriculture system should not be lost on anyone. Further, to use the bodies of one species to feed another is a moral failure. Among the thousands of people Andres feeds it is a guarantee that among them are terrible people. But among the thousands of animals victimized and murdered to feed those people there's not a single one of them who treated a single human with overt cruelty. If Andres wants to do something really spectacular he'll adopt a plant-based approach to feeding people.
Ok, seriously now. I usually love this guy, but how can it be accounted for a cooking recipe (or even just a tip) from a chef?? The only items in this recipe are: add lots of salt, cook in oven...
2:39 “Hey! Everyone look! I beat an old man at a game I just invented called ‘Alcoholic windbag pours alcohol into a glass!’ and I WON! Can we zoom in on this goblet Jim? It’s a solid 10 milliliters more than this loser who lost!”
I honestly don’t think he was kidding when he told the audience that Stephen’s producers warned him not to bruise his fragile little ego. I can’t imagine some of the pre taping negotiations that took place with some of the NBA superstars that have appeared on this show,
“Now LeBron, you’ll get an extra 2% on the gross domestic and international box office for Space Jam if you let a pasty, white narcissist beat you in a game of trash bin basketball. You’ll make millions more in profits but this deranged lunatic will bring up his ‘victory’ over you at every opportunity he gets, ask Obama.”

Imagine dedicating that much time, effort, and word space to being angry at a TV show.
@@shirosenshiesq Displays about as much taste as any other McNugget.
Wow! Wouldn't "Lock her up" do? LOL Poor Trumptards are just lost these days.
