- ■ PERU, PISAC: When the Spanish conquered the Inca empire they quickly set about planting vineyards in areas where the soil permitted. The first grapes were imported soon after the take over and a drink called Pisco, named after either the city or the bottles it was stored in, commenced.
It has since become one of the most popular drinks in the country. Naturally this was something I had to try. So I did upon arrival in Cusco 3 weeks ago. The glass I had however was so strong I promised to never have another Pisco ever again..... until I in the market of a city called Pisac saw a sign outside a shop advertising free Pisco inside! Was this a sign from Rati? His holiness the Muffsiah of Burundi, was compelled to investigate!

...a hillarious tactic to bargain prices up. Had some extra Corunas (their money) in Chech republic... had to get rid of them, so bought something at a market and bargained up the price... hillarious, and the vendor looked soooo confused. 🤣

I agree with this. Most other people that travel for a career just shout out things you could read in a blog or book. This is simple, genuine interaction with different people and cultures. It's relateable and feels good. I've never had Pisco, but now I really want to.

Maca is a peruvian root with probably the best nutritional value in the world, NASA uses it for the astronauts, it is also used as an enhancement for your muff diving. Also, "sagrado" means Sacred, Valle Sagrado=Sacred Valley.

It is in fact original, but I think the guy was refering to the spanish word "originario" which means "native to" and not refering to the autenthicity, I've never heard of fake Pisco in Peru.

I think I am learning more Spanish by watching this channel
After watching his videos I randomly catch my self saying the Spanish words or statements he uses in his videos. I've learned a few things; how to ask for prices, saying numbers above ten, how to ask the word of something in Spanish and a few other things.
@@OmniTorch yes I work with mostly Hispanic people at work and this is helping me fill out my spanish
@@OmniTorch Nah, Harald is pretty bad at speaking Spanish, he could at least learn some basic Spanish before travelling to Spanish speaking countries. Also the way he pronounces Spanish words is the same as how most Americans pronounce it which is kinda weird since he says he's Norwegian.
