- This has always been a huge fave and one of the songs that made me start loving 60's music and collecting it. Just to make things clear - this bunch is not from the UK, but Canada. Just like another UK psych behemoth - Glass Opening on Plexium - it's not UK, but Canadian:)
If you collect this kind of stuff on 45 - drop me a line as I quite often have similar records or spares for trade etc... If you played in the band or know a band member - please let me know. If you have the record at home and it's nothing you need to keep - please let me know. Thanks!
All soundfiles are taken from the record depicted.
I have a lot of records in my collection. A lot of really great records.
However, every time I put on side B of the fourth Rubble album and this song starts...it makes me feel vibes none of my other records give me.
What an absolutely incredible track!
I keep coming back to this great track!
Strange things are happening, because Strange Days are happening, just like People are Strange. This is a great find because whoever didn't live through the Psychedelic Rock Era. Doesn't know what good mind blowing music is about. These Psychedelic channels here on Y-Tube is like Tuning in to Deep Tracks off Sirius XM Satellite Radio.
I didn't live through it, but I'm deeply immersed in the music of that era. '64-'69 was such an amazing time.
Canada had so many great garage rock bands they contributed greatly to the Psychedelic sound
Countless musicians entered studios worldwde throughout the decades.Dreaming of a career that this one song(or album)they spent so many days and nights will be. Countless of this sole albums(or lost dreams) and 45s can be find here in the tube. Kudos to Oscarowski(amongst others) bringing these sometime hilarous songs back to life.
One of my very favorites! Try and shake it off, girl!
Thanks for posting
My older cousin from back in the day
And your cousin is cooler than you.
I wish I hadn't sold my copy of this 45 all those years ago.
Another great sound thanks for sharing these great songs 😎
fantastic mag of the same name
This was The Big Hit in our gang of mods-morphing-into-longhairs in Lund in the mid-80's. Still love it.
Lund had a good scene - I took part in releasing a group from there called Super Eight Group on Uppers records
great tune
que bueno ! ! lo tengo en un recopilatorio del sello BamCaruso esto es lo más !!!!!!
Excellent.
Si lo volvi a encontrar...
This song is on a compilation album called The 49-Minute Technicolor Dream. Does anyone have that? BTW - I think this song was the first song on the first side. It's gem.
Yes, I confirm. I'm pretty late... Have it somewhere at my mom's house in a carton box in the attic. I think on the same record there's as well Jason Crest's Blackmass.
quality oscar...again
Muy atractivos,muy estupendos
cool Canucks. Hot music.
very well done old one...................................
great record! it's Canadian though, written by this Martin Martin guy who had a great psych 45 in "imagine" (comped on a fading yellow) and another more beat effort called "a whole lot of oh yeah!" both are awesome.
and yeah it's the same guy who did "press right here" for sure. highly unlikely that it's not.
JUST SEEING THE PIC OF YOUR ORIGINAL SINGLE HAS MADE MY DAY-MUCH BETTER THAN THOSE PRETENTIOUS SELF MADE VIDS-THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THIS TRACK I THOUGHT IT WAS THE MAMAS AND PAPAS..HUGE THANKS FOR POSTING
wrong
Yes! also has tracks by the Fox (Fontana) 'Like A Butterfly' and many others.
Used to have all the 'Rubble' comps, now I only have a few.
This record has some link with Ringo Starr and I forget what it was now..
Anyway, those comps got me into this music in the late 80's.
tha was when these kind of records were a LOT cheaper than they are now.
I managed to buy mostly original LP's at the time, stuff like the Tommorrow LP orig EMI copy, July, Kaliedoscope, Apple etc etc.
Música de calidad ❤
Good find, love it!
Chris Rawlings before he began with the folk music...great stuff!
This track has a life of it's own. I sang on it, did not write it, went to England shortly thereafter. As for folk, still at it, trad and classical influencws, with a new album every year or 2 Newest offering on Folk, Funk and Trippy Troubadours Volume 2: Song of Creation.
loving this track, so groovy. Can anyone make out the lyrics of the 3rd verse would love to know them.
awesome! yeah it's the same martin martin that did "press right here" for sure. would be a good article/interview story eh? FY is tops.
Thanks - I know. Never seen the Canadian issue, but heard there is one around (as well as Dutch and Italian PS editions, which are very nice). I have the Imagine by Martin Martin as well - "A whole lot..." is harder to find I believe. Don't think / know if it's the same Martin Martin that did "Press right here" on MGM though. I have a spare of Imagine if you want. PM me if interested. FY is made by a close friend of mine and I've contributed with more than one 45;)
If you have an extra copy I would love to get one from you. Especially like the Flip side. Very cool 45. Please contact me if you have one? I looked at ebay and discogs, no luck. Thank you. Scott
Proto post-punk not dead 👻👁
I think it's the 1st track on side 2, but who cares... I love it!
