Extremely impressed with your repair, mainly the attention to all the details and not skipping any steps in your instructional is on POINT in your video! Subscribed! I am going to be getting one of the XTS and have not driven it yet.. just curious how many miles you were at on the vehicle you were replacing suspension on…? I see in some of the comments clunking sounds when taking off sounds like was one of the indicators of worn out suspension. On a Land Rover I had the lower A arm rear bushings worn out which were main cause for clunking when taking off from stop. Have you or any others noticed that on the XTS?
Hello thank you 😊 I tried to make very detailed videos to help people who are trying to buy one of these make an inform decision. This car has 125k miles on it. If you check out some of my other videos on this car, you will see that I replaced the engine mounts and today I am working on replacing the rear bearings and the suspension bar.

Thank you for sharing! I appreciate it! I have a 2015 with electronic struts, mine are worn causing horrible dampening characteristics and the strut top is worn out causing noise when the top of the strut tries to move around. Mine has right at 80k miles. Great video!

@AllAboutCarzz update: thanks to your video I successfully got the job done about 2 weeks after my first comment. On the downside, things didn't come apart as easily as it did for you on your video. But I eventually got the job done and was so satisfied a week later I replaced the back shocks also, which was much easier? Back to a smooth ride. Thanks again for your video.

I've replace mine twice already and the right front is bad again 134k miles n a 2013. Besides this crappy suspension...I do luv the car. Dealer wants $2500 just to replace the front. 1st 2 times warrenty paid for it.

I suggest the originals that came on car for replacement, they high as hell but it’s worth it , I replaced all with a brand from orileys called arnott , do not use them , car rides bad no cushion ride at all I am now putting original back on myself, thanks for this video it really helps us save so much money 🙌🏾

Horrible things... they've broken twice! The cost 2600 to replace just the front! Unlike traditional shocks when old they just get soft and have no resistance these lock up and dont move what so ever! Thank you for making this video ill replace mine with the Monroe with by pass chip.

Mine are leaking and the rear shocks are blown. They want $9500 to replace all. Warranty expired.

Bought a full pack of front and back the back worked but the fronts would not fit into the the fitting that u easily slid in any recommendations on a new pair that will fit?
Hello 👋 I do not. I just realized that the seller that I bought the two from on EBay are out of stock.
Return those and try another pair. Remember to double that your car model is the same. My car has the brembo brake system, GM made about 3 or 4 models for this same year. I recommend calling the dealership with your vin number to make sure, they will even give you the oem part number and you just put it in Amazon or Ebay. Good luck 🍀

I just had all 4 corners replaced and the car still rides rougher than expected? it's not clunking when i go over a bump anymore but I believe it should ride smoother than it does. any clue why that would be?

Hey was your suspension making that cluncking sound before you replaced. Mine does and also has the suspension light on. It still ride good but o cant stand hearing that sound do u think will help me to. I feel it will. Hopefully u get back with me thanks

Do you know what suspension code the vehicle has? My wife just bought a 2014 XTS V sport. I ordered full struts and they aren't fitting the tube diameter is about two MM larger that than the OEM strut. A1 auto is where I ordered than from. They said it's part number. I even sanded and cleaned the inside of the knuckle where the strut slides in and sanded/deburred then end of the new strut. Where did you get your struts, do you remember the part number? Thanks.

Hello thank you 🙏 for watching - I didn’t pay to do it so no labor cost but as the parts are concern I bought two front shocks on eBay for $177.65 and it took about 1 hour and half. I will put the link for the two front shocks in the description.
Only thing I would do is torque everything. Burned bearings up yrs ago dealer gave me the wrong torque on front bearing. Otherwise great

Replaced twice on my 13 XTS, now passenger side went out again. Even used those expensive dealer struts. Thinking about going strutmaster this time.

@@tipdog36 I did strutmastets after a failed attempt with acdelco number matching struts… the guy who put my strutmasters on jacked up my car even worse…. This caddie 2015 XTS has been a complete nightmare ever since I got it almost 4 years ago

Just a very noisy knocking sound every time I go over some bumps or uneven pavements, these cars have this problems. I replaced all 4 check out my other videos about them, thanks 🙏
Thanks. I'm gonna get mines changed and hopefully it fix the noise issue. It's very clunky every time I accelerate and when I come to a stop.
@@ReggieHammond68 yes, while you are at it, take a look at the 4 motor mounts. I changed all 4 of them and put up some videos.

Arnt you suppose to tighten the axle nut after the car is back on the ground other than that great video

@@AllAboutCarzz I appreciate that quick response, I had to change out my rear control arms on my AWD xts, went to get an alignment which was gonna cost $300, all for them to tell me…I need a drivers side inner and outter tie rod and two New Front struts in order for them to do a proper alignment 🙄. So im ordering these struts, tie rods and sway link ends.

You didn't have to touch the alignment screws still would have came off
