- Cash has been feeling a whole lot better lately. I still need to keep an eye on his nails but thankfully he is getting back to his crazy self.

Bored out of his mind, takes on room full of imaginary enemies, sees dead people, Standard Schnauzer, as advertised

He reminds me so much of my Big Boy Bandit. He was a 55 pound Standard. He acted just like that when he got the zoomies. I miss him so much.
My son's min. schnauzer had to be walked a great deal each day or major acting out became present. He ended up purchasing a treadmill for the dog. He had me dog sit for over 2 weeks while he went across the country. On his way back I was calling him every few hours to find out when he would be back....I was exhausted (I didn't have the treadmill!!!). What a beautiful bundle of energy. Yes...dogs need the exercise...they are happier for it (and you will too 😁😁).
Very nice. Yes, they require a lot of exercise. Regardless of the amount of exercise, he always gets the zoomíes. 😃
His play growls are ferociously adorable!

My mini schnauzer pretends to bite but she NEVER applies any pressure it’s all wonderful rough play. Cash is a great example of the schnauzers wonderful spirit.🥰

My giant does the same and if by any chance he harms me, he immediately starts licking

@@carlapeterson3683 I would love a giant schnauzer but we don’t have the space for one ☹️ but we love our little girl who came to live with us after my dad passed away. She is the greatest gift he ever gave me😊

Loads of energy. I agree they are so smart.
He's playfully "mouthing". Our Standard does the same thing. They love to play like this and go crazy zooming all over the living room, even when he's had a super busy day or no one else plays along. It's a schnauzer thing.
Glad to hear he’s not the only schnauzer who gets the zoomies even when he has had tons of exercise and a busy day. Every night at 9:00 pm. 😆

My SS is almost 9 months old now and 43 pounds of goofy... He has a lot of the same traits and loves to watch and bark at Cash's videos! We're glad Cash is feeling better!

LOVE! That's a smart schnauzer! "Dad, let's run... stop petting me... get up...let's go... why are you still sitting... 6 laps, let's go! " Cash is so all personality and beautiful! We loved this evening cue and my husband and I would get on opposite sides of the house and call her back and forth.... as she ran like crazy dog until she was pooped. 3 laps and she was done. Please enjoy for us and post more videos.
Looks like your stairs has carpet vs the slippery floor. If one of you goes to the top and other bottom and keep sending him back to the other, he will be done at about 3 up and downs. I bet. If you had a second dog, he would be doing this with them. We like only one schnauzer so my husband and I had to do it once a night with her. She was just like Cash with all his cues. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! I will post more videos soon. We play a lot on the stairs. He goes up and down about 5 or 6 times. We also open the front door and he will do laps outside. 9:00 zoomies every night know matter what.
My Schnauzer was a Miniature. We walked one hour in the morning, one hour in the evening and 20 minute walks in between. I DO work outside the house, (and inside, when I come back from work). Your dog cannot "calm down" because he needs EXERCISE.

That is so funny sh was barking at his bark!😂. SS have the best personalities. They can play rough at times. I think they don’t realize that they are big and strong. He loves to jump from couch to couch all the time. (Laminate floors are to slippery).
@@carlapeterson3683 my SS Ella jumps from sofa to chairs in our family room. Outside she only jumps up over the back of patio furniture. My Ella has 2 miniature schnauzers siblings and I don't think she realizes her size. SS are the best, I agree.
Brings back the memories of my old boy SS. He'd get the same way. My two females don't act the same.
I love nighttime zoomies. I have never had a female schnauzer. I wonder if most act a little different than the males?

We have a min schnauzer and he does that all time . We call that hot lapping 😆
They just get bursts of random energy and excitement. I think they are super happy when they start “hot lapping”. Love it!
My mini does the same thing. Barks at ghosts. I have been considering getting a giant, but that may be a bot too much of a handful, probably get a standard for my next dog
They really are happy when they run around all crazy. Standards are great dogs. A bit of a handful the first year but worth it. 😄

Carla, keep those videos coming. I have a male black standard schnauzer, Cooper, and he is a handful right now. Wants to chew everything. He gets lots of exercise but does not have an off switch. He’s always on the go. Thank God for the crate and big backyard. He just turned 10 months and is 39 lbs. Did you have Cash fixed and if so at what age? Did you notice any difference in behavior or activity level? Thanks Craig

Yes, Cash was fixed when he was pretty young, under a year. I keep thinking 5-6 months but I’m not positive. No I didn’t really see a huge difference. Man he had a TON of energy and was crazy at times. That first year was a struggle. I noticed huge improvements after a year and by the time he was a year and a half he seemed to be way different. Still lots of energy. I am lucky that he never really chewed stuff, he was a digger. He has always played rough.
Also someone was home with him most of the time so we didn’t have a crate past a year.
Cooper will get better and be the best dog soon. Hang in there and take lots of walks. My son runs Cash and that really helps.
