LOL! Am I the only one who watches Steger just to see him throw a tantrum? EVERYTHING upsets this guy!
Steger does have a great backhand. But when Kreanga hits a backhand it comes back a lot less often. Kenta didn't seem to have too much trouble blocking Steger's backhand.

Well, I really hope so...But...It's going worser and worser with him... :'( And the Japanese are my favorite players. Kenta Matsudaira, Jun Mizutani, Koji Matsushita, Koki Niwa, and of course Asuka Sakai, are my favourite... I'm trying to learn their play styles... I love them.. :c
Steger thinks that he is the next McEnroe!! Unfortunately McEnroe had won several grand slams and now he is a legend... Steger?? Never won a single World Cup.......
Steger plays really STIFF, specially his Forehand. Nice power-bh however, but too stiff and not that spinny. The close-to-table play of kenta really annoys him.
What a horrible sportsman Steger is, Kenta beat him both mentally and physically.
well at least steger does not kick tables like maze used to do hehe

Steger is ridiculous i'm mid german but i've born in brazil and this let me very ofended and frustrated because we can see that he is only angry because he is losing to a ''kid'', look i'm almost entering the brazilian paraolimpic team and i dont like to see that i 'm a devoted lover of the japanese culture, i'm cosplayer, i follow the budism predicts i try to be one of them but unfortunately i can't my pro preferred players are K. Matsudaira, Timo B., Ai Fukuhara and J. Mizutani also including

@RandomStuffLookAts yea, his style of play reminds of girls table tennis, but it can be pretty annoying especially for mid distance topspin players (i play like that and I really hate blockers :)) because he lets them win the match for him ;) but when it comes to creating points by himself, i think he could have serious trouble because of lacking strike power...

I think that Matsudaira´s style is kind of annoying, since he blocks very well, but he just keeps on returning the ball, he doesnt even moved him, it was like a practice xD

@abugz26 Maybe blocking his backhand is more like blocking some people's forehands and that's why they can't return it: they return it like it's a backhand.
The player has to see how asian players played Kenta. Looping with a constant strength does no good to winning the rally, especially to a player with the style like Kenta
I really like Steger, but in this match he had very bad manners. Anyway, I also like Kenta, so, the score was good and deserved in my opinion XD

Could be true, but since everyone has a different forehand i think people just respond at what they see. Kreanga's backhand might be different from what it looks like.

Kreanga's has way more spin in it, and is therefore 'curlier'. Unlike Stegers backhand (flat and fast) u need to do something with it (spin over chop, w.e.) to return it. Stegers hits can be returned by blocking only, Kreanga's usually not
@kynclik83 he plays a different style you gotta know. Table tennis is not all about looping. But this style is having a harder and harder position in the world as the spins of this sports is getting more and more developed.

Bastian Steger = Western Chen Weixing. I was curious how would western players react to Kenta's style, and here it is. Just as I expected lol.
Steger was really pissed off... Not a chance to penetrate the block of Matsudaira
seems as if steger thought about giving up when he sat down.
the umpire has to know: we want and need emotions in this sport!
@adambobrow makes perfect sense, i really wonder why kreangas backhand is so powerful that even the pros have a hard time blocking it.
