Watched this match once again. To me even in 2020 this is still the best table tennis match of all times. Why I think so. -Very good shooting angle for the camera (this was rightly noted in the comments). -This is the game of two best players whose perfect technique I consider as a reference. -Very intense fight and many spectacular moments in the game. -Chen Qi not only has a great forehand topspin, but also has a lovely backhand topspin. A pleasure to watch. ;)
Yes. Ma Long just has better overall consistency. He is making the big points and the small points. I think there are several players who have better strokes than ML, and yet he beats them all.

imo the match between ma long and zhang jike at the austrian open (i don't remember the year) is the best match of all time, but this one is up there
German open between ma Long and Wang hao is also very spectacular game.
