Sensei, que aplicación tiene esta técnica? Me parece un poco lesiva
Mira arriba escribí)))
Do you mean the application as it is performed in Seipai kata, or more generally for this particular type of fist?
ever heard of the okinawan fist?
Are you referring to the unfurled index finger?
yes, it does makes a stronger oniken@@GKCgoju

This shape is not optimal for direct impact. It is most advantageous for swings. Try it. With the correct trajectory of the strike, there will be no need to prop up the middle finger.
Well, no I agree, it is not optimal for direct impact - neither is a regular punch though - hence the likelihood of breaking a hand when punching with no protective glove or wrap. Like anything it takes training and practice. I'm familiar with using this fist in ways other than as a straight thrust - this adds to its versatility, it doesn't preclude the thrust option. imo.
@@GKCgoju I proceed from the fact that all specific forms were intended for highly specialized use, in order to obtain some kind of short-term advantage. Otherwise, they would not be necessary. So, when swinging, there is no need to prop up this finger with others, and the force accumulates on it naturally. At the same time, I also saw a lot of erroneous variants - people did not know how to do it correctly, but they always defended what they were used to.
@@fightingcrane5647the technique is specific to the target.
It sounds like what you are saying is that because I’m ‘not used to’ the application as you describe - the ‘correct’ and only way to use the fist (which actually I have acknowledged as a method I’m familiar with), that I am therefore (unreasonably) defending my (rigid) position. On the contrary, the irony here, is that your comment appears to represent the very thing you are admonishing me for 🤣. This aside, do you have any video content of you demonstrating what you describe? I’d love to see.
What parts of the body would this be effective against? Temple, throat, between the ribs , eye socket ???
