This guy needs his own UA-cam channel and give this back to the real Mr. Electricity. His videos were much more entertaining.
They are little more then boxes for holding the speakers. Which is fine....... As long as you don't throw on a label like "Top-notch stage sound system" It takes a lot more then that to be considered "Top Notch" line array speakers. That requires being paired and tuned to match the frequency range. Without that they are simply a stack of speakers.
Yes they do that some companies give you the specs sound specs which you can't give until the subwoofer and the amplifier are installed and you can get the readings but they give it anyway for the empty cabinet

Hello so these are trapezoid style speakers aligned like a “line array” speaker system.
In actuality they are typical sound system speakers as would be found in any 80’s style sound system.
The hi frequency horns are what really defines a line array for coverage and control of the sound

Dimensions? Drivers? Thiele-Small parameters? Performance? Specifications? Build technique is superb, I’d like to try these myself.
Those boxes won't work as an array source because of the gaps between the HF guides. Doesn't worth it really. Also, I really doubt there were made any calculations during design so you should be lucky enough to hope that it reproduce on the out something compatible to the input.

Very good job especially the counts and the cuts. but the quality of the material is not good at all for this use due to the its mass.

Good construction, bad design though. Treble horns must not be separated to avoid phase cancellations. Bad idea to place bass reflex gaps between them...
Large units are no longer used these days.

'Top notch line array'... Without using gaskets, with enormous gap between HF drivers, with selfsecuring bolts that don't even get screwed on far enough, without any cable from flightpoint to drivers to secure them when wood collapses (fire or enclosure failure)...and the list goes on.
Beautyful acustic boxes.
What is would like to see are performance characteristics. It is easy to build impressive housings, it is difficult to get performance....

I have Cerwin Wega speakers made of chip board very silent and deep bass. I wonder if this hard board speakers will sound better??
Hope you don’t mind me chipping in because you probably won’t get an answer from the UA-camr. I’m a woodworker and audio person who has been making speakers for 50 years. The answer to your question is not straight forward because it has more to do with other factors such as the enclosure design, the drivers used and the crossovers. They all influence the sound relatively speaking more so than the material used. Back in the day chipboard was commonly used because it was cheap and easy to work with but the cut ends required filling or a veneer. MDF is great but it’s extremely heavy. With P.A speakers 19mm (3/4”) in common because the timber is stable and doesn’t swell like chipboard or MDF if it happens to get wet. All three will work fine with a good enclose design and appropriate bracing etc where required. They are using some type of plywood because it’s best for that application. MDF would weigh a ton.

@@DoObs I guess if you're going to put some cheap ass subs in their enclosures, you might be okay, but as is, these enclosures are 💩!
I guess that is why Sonus Faber is very expensive because of the premium build quality.

The lack of gaskets around the handles and fittings made me disappointed in the quality of the units, to avoid air noises gaskets should be installed. Otherwise it was interesting
