J-10C is an air superiority fighter, whereas Rafale is a multi-role fighter. So for air-to-air combat, J-10C probably has an edge, given its faster speed, higher ceiling, larger AESA radar and above all the PL-15 missile. Pakistan has also proven that it has some of the best fighter pilots in the world.
Pakistan bought J-10C for exactly the purpose of air superiority and it's an excellent choice.
Both are multirole fighters.😅

j10c is claimed to have 1000 tr modules radar, larger than the rafale.. but the point is rafale has more powerful engines which gives it enough power to operate its radar at its best potential... also bigger radar doesnt certainly means better, rafale's radar has superior range which will give it an advantage to see j10 first..... rafale's electronic warfare suite is world class and far better than j10..... also the meteor missile of rafale is considered to be the best in the world with largest no escape zone..these are the edges that rafale have in beyond visual range combat..... even if you talk about dogfight, rafale is more agile and manueverable... its instantaneous turn rate and sustained turn rate are far better than any chinese and pakistani fighter..... if you name a fighter as air superiority, that doesnt mean it is certainly better than any fighter..... no doubt j10 is a very decent fighter and it is better than tejas... but it is not comparable to rafale... Rafale outclass any non stealth platform of this globe excluding eurofighter which is on par with it..

Any country’s Air Force could equipped itself with more J10s in terms of costs & maintenances whether in peace times or at war. The costs of the Rafael in both situations would be enormously high for most countries. At war, an Air Force just cannot maintain the rate of losing its Rafael jets, even for a short war because the replacement costs would not be financially viable for a modest economy of most developing countries. The destructive capacity of both fighter jets are technically known but it would also have to come down to the basics of economics when owning & operating these military jets.
The war is won not only by fighter jets, but by the complex machinery of various branches of the military. In the air, the Rafal is superior to the Chinese by 90% in all parameters except ultimate speed.

I am not sure how you obtain all the data, in the case of J10, its performance varied significantly the latest variant J10C is almost a new plane, so the data is questionable, for example the J10A is a lot heavier than J10C because the latest variant used a lot of composite material to make the plane lighter
The variants themselves differ from eachother and if China ever learns how to do quality control they might end up with a decent fighter with a reliable engine and actually useful avionics. A French Rafale can take out a whole squadron of these by themselves. The export models require about two aircraft if they are equipped with the Meteor and three or four if they have the shorter range MBDA missiles. The only thing made in China that has lasted is the Wuhan virus.

biggest difference: Rafale is best proud of France, but J10 is nobody in Chinese air force...
Compared to the Rafael it looks like the J10C is close competitor. It is considerably lighter, faster and therefore potentially more nimble. It is also 70% cheaper but it cannot operate from warships. The technical differences are minor. The pilots skill can make all the difference.

Indian Rafal does not carry Meteor missiles, France refused to sell Meteor guided missiles to India as well as Egypt, so Indian Rafal will have to settle for MICA missiles with a maximum range of 80 kilometers, the same as Egyptian Rafal, so it is twice less from the range of Chinese air-to-air missiles PL 15 carried by all newer Chinese aircraft as well as the J 10C

@@zorajevremovic4608 To je čista Laž i izmišljotinja da Ukre sa S 300 obaraju Ruske avione, istina je da ih Rusi uništavaju bez ikakvog problema i svi Ukrajinski S 300 su već uništeni, a za helikoptere nema potrebe za S 300 jer heliko lete nisko, Francuzi su počeli da uvode Meteor rakete tek pre godinu dve tako da nisu ni mogli da ih prodaju Indiji i Egiptu, takođe i Aesa radari na rafalima su novina i po mojim procenama počeli su se uvoditi pre 5-10 godina, Meteor rakete su izuzetno skupe, dalje što se tiče nosivosti Rafala to je zahvaljujući delta krilima koja su dosta veća od klasične varijante krila kao na mig 29 / 35, F 15, F16 itd... mada Rafal ima slabe motore i nemože de premaši 2 maha, njegova brzina je 1,8 mah a mig 29 /35 je 2,2 maha, F 15 je 2,5 maha a F16 je 2,1 maha

A Rafal nosi 9.5t al sa 3 rezervoara goriva od 1.5t to je 4.5t gore dole a od naoružanja mica cica meteor su teški od 85kg do 125kg pa ajd nek su i 200kg. 14 podvesnih sa GBU mba po 250kg i zavisi ako kače na jedan pilin 3 GBU pa nema sile da nosi 1.5t to su manje bombice zato ih ima a to kad računaš je 4000tone naoružanja 2 do 3 skalpa i puna kapa. Dajte nebudite Deca pa naš Mig.29 kad bi mu zakačio njegove rakete raspao bi se. A da negovorim o Mig.35 šta tegli SU.30 34 24 35 8tona al baš uboitog a ne gorivo je u njima. What most of you are not understanding here is the fact that Pakistan has less diameter to cover when it comes to combat with India in any form. The Land radius of Pakistan is way smaller than India hence less to defend. Therefore, any aircraft like J-10, JF17 or F-16 give Pakistan an edge on India as it can move inside within 2 mins of flight hence any air to air combat or air to ground combat will be on Indian ground irrespective of the outcome. Therefore, in any combat India has to suffer collateral damage. On other side, India has to move aircraft from one side of the country to other i.e. India has only 2 airbases in disputed Kashmir and 4 bases on International border. Given the time, tactile effectiveness and medium size range, Pakistan benefits overall. That is irrespective of any technical capabilities Rafael or any other airfcraft India has at the moment.
Pakistan has been co-producing with China, Turkey, Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia and Azerbaijan since 90s. Whereas India is solely buying from Russia. United States has declined all technology transfer to India until TATA buys rights to produce F16s in India, which hasn't happened as it costs £2billion of initial commitment.
So irrespective of overall technical comparison, Pakistan is far better when it comes to tactics, self reliance, suitability, range and area to cover in comparison with India. I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE TO HATE & TROLL BRIGADE....
Pakistan pilots are well trained. I remembered in a drill last year, Pak jf17 beat Rafael. That's impressive.

You forget that quantity also matters. I can buy 4 J10c while you can only buy 1 Rafale. Can you beat 4 j10c trying to kill you at the same time? Do you even have enough missiles to destroy 4 j10?
I don't think so. Cost and quantities also matter. China produces j10 locally and can sell or loan Pakistan their own if needed in actual war. Can India even replace any lost Rafale? Can they even afford to? Maybe France won't even sell replacement if China outs pressure on France not to. That is Indias big weakness. It has no real allies and no domestic mass production capability for advanced weaponry. Even Pakistan can build jf17.
Pakistan has always been known to have excellent pilots or better pilots than India. Pakistan Air Force provides far more flying time to its pilots than India. A known fact. Having cheaper planes who ALMOST stack up to almost four times more expensive but slightly better aircraft is a better deal for Pakistan. Having an experienced pilot with better air to air and air to ground missiles is what would determine who will come out on top in a dogfight. Losing three pilots to one Rafale is definitely more disastrous for Pakistan than India. India now has far deeper pockets than Pakistan so even if India loses 30 Rafales compares to over a 100 Pakistani pilots for an even fight, is disadvantageous for Pakistan. In a war, money saved doesn't win battles/wars but well trained/experienced men remaining who can to continue to fight, will win the battle/war. Pilots are finite, planes can be infinite if you have deep pockets. Israel has survived its wars because US handed whatever Israel lost and more. The pilots had to be provided by Israel though.

Lol 🤣 Here lots of people believe that the author is insulting Rafale, but she already does her best to unfairly compare the last version Rafale with the earlier J10A. Actually the new J10C has a AESA radar with 1200 T/R modules, more powerful than Rafale's 836 modules RBE2 radar (sorry, Rafale has smaller nose than J10). The PL15 is considered as the best BVRAAM (by experts, not here of cause😜), by it's world first dual pulsed solid propellant rocket engine, it has a range beyond 200km (export version PL15E reduce to 145km), much more than the Meteor missil with ramjet engine. The Meteor missil still uses old Pulse-doppler mechanical radar, while PL15 already changed with a more advanced AESA guidance head. Rafale's main advantage is its huge munitions and external fuel capacity. Literally, they're two different kind of fighters, J10 is a pure air dominance fighter, and Rafale is more like a multi-purpose fighter. Because in China, ground attack is J16's job(like F15E in US), but for France, Rafale has to do all. In short, J10C has more advantage in air combat, and Rafale is more powerful in air to ground attack.

J10C's larger AESA radar can ensure first-look. PL15's longer range permits it's first-shot. And this missil's AESA guidance head ensure first-kill. Actually, in dog fight, J10's new PL10 short range AA missil is also better than Rafale's old MICA.

When US Airforce declared that they would use dual pulsed solid propellant rocket technology on its AIM120D missil, their chinese competitors under big pressure begun to work very hard developing its own. But ironically, when PL15 entered in service, AIM120D was found using traditional engine (So it is with the hipersonic weapons)🤣. And now it's turn to US feel nervous. So I don't believe that China will export PL15 before US own this technology. But PL15E also has 145km range, still larger than Meteor. Pakistan imports J10CE just to contend against India's Rafale, so China should ensure its advantage, at least in air combat.

The only thing that determines a fighter jet is the engine and radar based on electronic technology. A few decades ago, China's fighter jets may have been very backward, but today, China's engine technology has made some progress, and there may be some gaps between Europe and the United States, but it is completely possible. Satisfy the needs of medium fighter jets and, most importantly, China's electronic technology today is perhaps far ahead of France's.

Pakistan has always been known to have excellent pilots or better pilots than India. Pakistan Air Force provides far more flying time to its pilots than India. A known fact. Having cheaper planes who ALMOST stack up to almost four times more expensive but slightly better aircraft is a better deal for Pakistan. Having an experienced pilot with better air to air and air to ground missiles is what would determine who will come out on top in a dogfight. Losing three pilots to one Rafale is definitely more disastrous for Pakistan than India. India now has far deeper pockets than Pakistan so even if India loses 30 Rafales compares to over a 100 Pakistani pilots for an even fight, is disadvantageous for Pakistan. In a war, money saved doesn't win battles/wars but well trained/experienced men remaining who can to continue to fight, will win the battle/war. The Pakistani J10CE planes have 139.5 KN of thrust because they have the Chinese WS10B Thrust Vectoring Engine NOT the weaker Russian Saturn Engine.. This extra thrust also makes the Radar more effective and brings the J10CE much closer to the Rafale's performance. The higher altitude ceiling of the J10CE compared to the Rafale means that the PL15 missiles will have much more kinetic energy and range. The low altitude celing of the Rafale means that the Meteor Missiles will have greatly reduced range and kinetic energy.
A Eurofigher Typhoon and launch a meteor missile from 55,000 feet and it's the real Meteor, not the export version India has. The Indian meteor export version launched from a Rafael's low altitude celing only has 60% of the range.
Three things: no, J10C does NOT have thrust vectoring. It was just a single prototype of a j10B demonstrated, all pictures of operational j10c shows the plane with a normal nozzle. Second pakistani will NOT have the PL15, but PL15E, export version, downgraded as well. i believe that if a pilot knows how to push the limits of an air.craft he will decide the fate and not the machine...besides rafale is an extremely overpriced jet compared to what is offered in J10 C package.. The biggest advantage that Pakistan have over India is that when it comes to Aircraft maintenance or repair parts, they're easily accessible to get since the J10's are manufactured in China, their next door neighbour and iron brother. This also helps to facilitate any subsequent enhancements that the PAF wishes to make in the future. For India, if the Rafale needed any parts or repairs .....good luck to them trying to get them delivered all the way from France and then trying to have them installed only to find that the wrong parts were delivered.

Are u sure that mig21 has 1200 T/R modules AESA radar plus 200km range BYR AA missil, and JMHCS helmet plus Multi-element imaging infrared homing short range AA missil? As I know, the last version Rafale that u admire so much unfortunately has not.

Hopefully it'll never happen but if Pakistan ever gets into a war, they'll be very please how the J-10CE will perform against other fighter jets, particularly those below 5th generation. IMO, the jet's a beast, truly the best non 5th generation superiority/multipurpose fighter jet currently in the world.

If the Rafale is against the J-10C, the two are basically equivalent in fighting ability, but in the mid-range attack, the J-10C has a clear advantage. If the J-10C launches the "fight and run" volley tactics outside the line of sight , Gust will fall into the embarrassing situation of "can't catch up, can't escape".
In terms of long-range air-to-air missile confrontation, although the European "Meteor" missile has an advantage over PL-15E in range (Meteor has a range of 160 kilometers and PL-15E is 145 kilometers), it is also embarrassing because of the aircraft of the Rafale. The caliber of the head radar is only 400 mm, so although the performance of the RDS radar is good, the effective detection range is not more than 150 kilometers, which is smaller than the range of the "Meteor" missile. It needs another discount to detect the J-10C with a certain stealth effect. Therefore, the range advantage of the "Meteor" missile is limited by the RDS radar and cannot be used at all.
No Rafael will be 4x better. ORIGINAL J-10 can simply overwhelm in numbers and suffer less losses due to greater numbers. And this is an upgraded J-10C which is greatly upgraded.

PL15 missile is a Chinese missile ranging 300 km BVR .. highest range in the world by a wide margin
range doesnt make the whole story when it comes to air to air missile, the greater thye distance the harder it is to hit the target, in this case meteor is most effective below 150 km

PL 15 is not as agile as Nato standard missiles to hit a highly agile target like a fighter jet. The are best for not so agile planes like AWACS , fuel tankers etc.
Serbia bought Jf 17 block 3 fighter jets to replace the outdated J22 and G4. And how it would replace the MiG 29, we will see. The new Rafali f4 is mentioned, but also the J10C. I think it is better to take J10C considering that it costs less, and for 10 French planes, you can take 30 Chinese ones. Again, it all depends on the equipment and ammunition offered by both sides. Whether it will be a meteor or PL15 we will see.

Cost depends on your currency value and not the avionics you put in there or engineering. Chinese currency is way low in comparison to other nations hence the aircrafts are cheaper.
