Heres a bug you can fix, alternate crouching between striking with your spear so you can actually spam thrusts faster and harvest nodes as well as trees. Another note, wouldnt of fixed your problem, but theres a fast track button at the repair table and by pushing R on keyboard (idk what it is for xbox) but you can repair all your gear in your inventory and equipped slots, given you have everything you need for all such repairs.
I believe the number needed is based off how damaged it is; the more broken it is, the more it takes. Think the most I've used on repair is 7 but I'm not 100% certain.

Interface to small to show 5th ingredient probably might be other items that have 5 requirements that also can look bugged
You need ancient parts mine didnt work till I went and farmed up some

My game gets keeps saying that it can't save
Delete 360 local saved data and record your game when it can't save. Works for me
I hate bugs rather squash them than patch them
