@@15LoydsCustom I'm thinking of Building a Custom Hybrid Scrambler with a Honda XR Frame but Is it Possible to USE A KTM 390 DUKE ENGINE ?? Will the KTM 390 ENGINE Fit into The Honda Frame ? Thanks. Regards Vince..
Hi, from Nova Scotia, Canada. Nice bike! I just finished my XR400r rebuild, New hotrod OEM crank, New Niche head, New Niche 89mm cylinder, New Namura 89mm piston, New HD head studs, New '02 CRF450 timing chain, New Wiseco valves, New Hotcam stg2, New FMF-SS power bomb header, CZR 'LOUD' pipe, New twin air filter and OEM screen, New jets for the carb 165/65, New OEM oil pump, New EBC cultch friction disc's and Cryogenically frozen steel plates, Electric start mod. I would like to get an inverted fork setup for the front, I see yours is off a '05 CRF450r? I heard that the CR250 front ends will work too but got to do a little more research. Any tips would be appreciated!
Hi bro wow you did a nice work too! Specially to the engine. I used CRF450 inverted fork, what i did is i removed the stock front end Axle from triple 3 and installed to the CRF450 triple 3 so i can use the stock ballrace bearings.
@@15LoydsCustom Yeah the suspension looks really good on your bike! I was thinking about putting a CR250 front end on mine and still use the stock OEM bearing sizes or upgrade tapered roller bearings but I might look into a CRF450 front end too. Did you use the stock xr400 front axle or did you need to use the CRF axle?
@@15LoydsCustom Hey, I got a question for you. Have you ever had any problems with your XR400r clutch not disengaging? The reason I ask is because I bought mine as a project 'Not running' so I don't know if the clutch basket and inner basket and pressure plate are the stock factory parts. They look like the stock OEM parts and do say 'KCY' on them meaning they are 'Honda parts' but when I install the basket, inner basket and pressure plate I can roll the bike while in neutral, when I start to tighten the springs the bike will no longer roll back and fourth. I have made sure the basket is seated all the way onto the primary shaft but acts like there are too many disc's/plates in the basket but they are correct and new. The only way I can get everything set up and work is to take out the thrust washer between the inner basket and outer basket and flip the center bushing around so it goes on from the inside of the outer basket so I have the right amount of free play and tension on the lever. First time I have ever ran into a problem like this.
Hello bro have you check the clutch cable adjustment? Or double check the clutch and rearrange check the manual on Google and last option maybe there's something wrong with the clutch pressure plates
@@15LoydsCustom Hi, I understand what you are saying but the problem is there before I hook the cable to the lifter arm so cable free play is not the issue. I have the Honda shop manual and I am going step by step but to no avail. I have ordered a new Pro-X clutch inner basket and pressure plate off eBay to see if that fix's the problem. I'm beginning to think its the clutch springs which may be too long as the manual have springs listed for the '96 XR400 at 1.75" and after 2000 they are 1.64". I measured my springs and they are at 1.75" so maybe that little extra bit is creating the problem.
Hello idol yes no probs i used front rim size 300/17 tire 120/70/17 dual sports tire yong gamit ko kinda tire Sa likod rim size 3.50/17 tire size 140/70/17 stock lang yong swing arm idol and you need to move the battery box pa labas lagyan mo ng spacer para dili kainin ng rear tire
