So nice to see you again Kalle! I always look forward to your videos. I think you have accomplished so much and I am so proud of you! You are right when it comes to this world being too dependent on the modern conveniences. I grew up with all that. But I prefer this old school lifestyle over it anyway. Keep doing what you're doing. Much love ❤️

For me it's the opposite. Autumn and winter is when I get things done outside because it's too warm in summer. In autumn all the bugs disappear as well, which is perfect for work in the forest. Did you ever trace that spring? I believe you mentioned at some point that your pond was getting a bit low.

I think the designer of that sweater should be mentioned (kind though it was of Theadora to make it!) - it's Linka Neumann, a Norwegian knitting designer who has popularised this pawprint pattern and has published several books of wonderful sweaters, predominantly made in Icelandic and Norwegian wool.

@@teodoradezsonetenyi8275 No, of course he didn't, he was thrilled with the beautiful gift! I only mentioned it because in the knitting world, too many designers do not get the recognition they deserve for their intellectual property and this is a great pattern - I'm currently knitting it, too!
There was no criticism involved, either of you or Kalle, just a commentary; it's a hugely generous gift to make someone a sweater, as I know only too well.

I love the idea of the "ritual" of waking up and making a fire to warm the house, but I was wondering if, instead of also starting the kitchen stove, have you ever consider using a sort of "camping" style stove , either in the house or outside,
(propane, butane or even the BioLite which uses small twigs and organic material - if you're somewhere vaguely foresty, which you definitely are, it means you'll never run out of fuel)
to cook meals ... especially in the summer when keeping the kitchen stove fired up all day might be unpleasant?
I think it's also a good use of resources since you don't have to keep feeding the stove all day and only fire it up when you need to use it.
Your kitchen stove is beautiful and a dream to use, I'm sure, but I'll bet it also it eats up the wood.
