I love singing along to these lovely pieces. Brings back so many great memories of growing up singing along with the radio. No tv for many years. How lucky I was. Thank you so much for making my life that much happier.
It all depends on you and you bring it, Patsy❤it HAS to be you ❤it happened in Avalon?❤it was a very good year love those minor keys❤we’ve grown accustomed to your beautiful being❤you and your marvelous piano talent came just in time ❤love these old classic medleys…played to perfection ❤ thank you…Tom too…
That's so great! You had excellent dynamics and rhythm throughout. 🎉 You truly made this piece sound lovely. I'm a fellow pianist (currently learning Maple Leaf Rag - Scott Joplin) so I can really appreciate the effort you put into this. Great work and keep it up! Don't stop practicing! 😊❤
@@handfulloscotts807 Thanks for your wonderful comment and encouraging words! Funny thing is I never practice. I might hear a song twice but then just play it without much of any practice. I have some Scott Joplin songs uploaded. I know I have peacherine rag and pineapple rag and the entertainer. I might also have the maple leaf rag too. Thanks very much for your comment!❤️🤗
Absolutely wonderful playing...That seemed to be the kind of skill applied to improvising on the piano for silent movies. The hardest part was to think of another tune while playing one when a change of scene was anticipated in the next moment. Thanks for the medley....I recognized the tune which started at 6:04...
@@Hiroshima49 I have played for silent movies and you are right that it takes skill and memory to call up. The next appropriate song for the scene in question! Often times you play what they call incidental music and not an actual tune but often it goes both ways! So glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your nice comment! 👍❤️
@tomheath7497 It's great to hear your response to my comment. I had once talked to a pianist for silent movies. That's how I learnt about it and how it was done. That's quite inspiring.
@@Hiroshima49 playing for silent films is tougher than it looks. For openers you need to know the film well in order to choose the most appropriate cuts of music. A wide knowledge of music right for the era is also key. 🔑 and playing in lower light is also an ability to have! 👍😁
y love your music
Thank you so much for letting me know! I take requests too! Pretty much anything that is appropriate for a dept. store!

@@handfulloscotts807 Say! If you want really finely played ragtime, look up Gary Dawes on UA-cam! He is sensational! 👍
@@handfulloscotts807 Turns out too that I have my version of maple leaf rag on my channel. Type in my name and the title.

@@Hiroshima49 I see I still need to add the song titles in the description! 😁
@@tomheath7497 Absolutely....that requires a lot of musicianship to do well.
